The hotel is lovely , as you enter the lounge area you meet the receptionist's smile and you feel the smell of flowers . Lovely wallpaper depicting a forest a deers . The room was clean , big plenty of comsmeticals , the bar staff was great, the food excellent and the wi fi fast. Nothing to complain.

We arrived had a lovely meal and then checked in. When we got to our room it was still being prepared so we had to sit in the corridor and wait. Lack of communication between staff as we could have waited in the bar area . We were attending a party at the hotel, all the staff were lovely and helpful, but there were not enough of them. Only one person manning the bar all night!!!!!! This meant people had to queue for ages to be served. After the food, which was lovely the plates sat on the tables for far too long...again a lack of staff. Many guests commented on this. The location and rooms were really appointed , the grounds and setting was great I just feel it would have been so much better is there had been more staff and the la k of them slightly spoilt our visit.

The hotel is located near j6 on the m40 , check in was fast , the room was very clean and alot of cosmeticals, also the resturant staff are very friendly and they work together like a familly, breakfast was also good with plenty of food choices

staff were attentive if somewhat overworked at breakfast time when short staffed, toaster broke and coffee machine didn't work. the bar, restaurant food was very good, did feel the breakfast let it down a bit considering the dinner and bar meals were very good. room was great and roomy, may be consider beverages to be more in abundance rather than one of each. water would have been good too. overall a lovely stay and would return.

The hotel room was well equipped and had a good range of equipment. The bathroom was a little disappointing as the lighting was poor (difficult to see face in mirror), the movable mirror was too high and there were no hooks on which to hang your clothes. The range of food and drinks at breakfast was good but the hot food was a little dry as it had been around under the lights too long

Nice hotel near Junction 6 on M40 . They have electric charging point wich was great as we drove an hybrid. The check in was fast and we enjoined a nice dinner in the familly in the restaurant. The room was nice , smelled fresh spacious and clean. Breakfast was also great altough was a busy morning.

The staff at this hotel were excellent, friendly but respectful, and very helpful. The room (116) had issues: In the bathroom the extractor fan did not work and the bath plug did not seal the outlet properly, making it impossible to run a bath. Water pressure seemed rather low and the sink tap gave a groan while running. One bedside light was out - promptly fixed after a request from me - and the TV/remote operation did not seem to offer an on-screen programme guide. We ate at a table for four on the first night and three of us, with different dishes, all felt the food was only barely warm enough. However, breakfast was good, and the staff kindly set us a table in the bar so that our dog could sit with us. It was a pleasure to see rabbits, birds and even deer in the field beside our room. We have stayed here once before and our impression was the same - we would expect a higher standard of accommodation for the prices charged.

Very disappointing. The fixed shower head over the bath is not condusive to people who like to shower using the shower head on the end of a flexible hose as you have no control over the direction of the shower. It also sprayed water on the bathroom floor despite the half screen.It is also a health and safety risk as you have to reach through the shower to use the controls and if you wanted to turn the temperature down you could scald yourself. Also the breakfast lady was not particularly bothered about looking after your guests(except the fella's she liked to chat to)- we had to remind her to get the tea we had ordered on the first day, the second day we had to remind her to fetch my fried eggs - cooked in the kitchen and on 2 occasions we were told there was no Meusli despite this being printed as available on your menu - we were told you were waiting for a delivery - "really" after 2 days? Also your breakfast were cold - the only plates available on day 1 were cold - not even room temperature - so any warmth your food had when taken from your buffet was dissapated as soon as it hit the plate in fact on the 3rd morning we didn't bother with the cooked breakfast as it was so bad. Each time we returned from a day out - we had to have our key re-activated to get into our room - and was told it was probably because I had kept the key by my mobile phone - I hadn't - the card was in my right hand trouser pocket - my mobile phone in my left breast pocket -I couldn't have kept them further apart if I had tried but your manager was happy to try to blame his guests. Finally your receptionist tried to overcharge me on leaving by over £30 - when I queried this - eventually she realised she had not taken off my Accor points - (I had pre-paid the hotel bill for B&B - the only charge was for dinner on Tues and Thursday. We have stayed at your Novotel in Bristol, Cardiff and Sheffield - your Mercure Hotel north of York centre and your Ibis hotel in Reading - so we are fully aware of the standards that should apply to your hotels and if this had been our first visit to an Accor hotel we would never have used you again.

We stayed only one night, but were impressed by the lovely surroundings, friendliness of the staff and well equipped bedroom. Our only concern was the limited choice of shower - one came from the ceiling but there was no "telephone" shower, nor any taps. So it was a bit like sitting under a waterfall, which not everyone wants first thing in the morning! !
