Have stayed here a few times, but probably won’t go back. Was allocated a room inside the main building, which was tired - broken tiles, shower mechanism and right on noisy main road. On check it very rushed and no how was your stay! Food in restaurant okay

We had two rooms - one standard and one deluxe. Both were spacious and with very comfortable beds. The deluxe room had a large, well equipped bathroom with walk in shower and a large corner bath. Very soft, generously sized bath robes were an added bonus and made up for the rather threadbare, thin towels. Tea and instant coffee making facilities are now seen as a basic requirement - however for the money, and their claim to 4* I would expect the deluxe rooms to have a proper coffee machine and also to have some drinks in the mini bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, throughout. An excellent breakfast with fresh fruits and a hot buffet - made to order variations of freshly prepared eggs were available - poached eggs were perfectly cooked. I am never quite sure where English hotels get their star ratings from and I believe that this hotel's claims to 4* is misleading, if compared to 4* in the rest of Europe or the States. It is a perfectly good, very comfortable establishment and would be better not to set client's expectations too high. I would happily return but choose to ignore the ratings.

Disabled room did not satisfy our requirements

Actual room was fine, but bathroom had a bath with shower attachment above, there were no grab rails and not accessible for disabled guests. Toilet and wash basin had grab rails, but sinks had no plugs, low mirror could not be used, as turned round and round, toilet roll holder broke, shower leaked from side of shower head, toilet pan was not very clean.

We had a man enter on his key card while my wife was undressed, i had a spider in the orange juice and the breakfast was dry . We did complain
