« Convenient location, disappointing facilities »

I booked 5 rooms, two of which I requested to be configured with twin beds. When we arrived we were told that no twin bedded rooms were available and all they could provide were camp beds which were very uncomfortable for adults. i was very disappointed that we were not warned about this in advance and that the staff were so unhelpful and did nothing to solve the problem. No compensation was offered.

« Very happy, a lovely place to stay. »

This was our second visit to the Lambert and it did not dissapoint. Very attentive and friendly staff, comfortable spacious bedrooms and inviting lounge, bar and restaurant. Food at breakfast and dinner was of a high standard and afternoon tea is well worth a try. It is very convenient for visiting Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Bicester village. We will definitely return.

Hotel staff had bad English skills. Did not understand orders at the bar. Beer was also kept poorly so cask ales were very flat. Breakfast was poor as they ran out food.

Nice hotel But run out of breakfast food due to a bus full of tourists staying at the hotel. Planning could have been better. Paid for bed and breakfast and had to miss out . Beer was also kept poorly so cask ales were very flat.

Stayed at this hotel for first time since it joined Mercure Group. I like the improvements made but bathroom cleanliness was a little lacking as the sink overflow was quite dirty. Otherwise, apart from a “fish heavy” menu, which left a limited choice, the food was good.

After a long day walking the Ridgeway National Trail it was lovely to arrive at this hotel. The design and decor of the hotel is great and there is a lovely courtyard area with beautiful flowers, outside seating and a tree swing. The room was welcoming, spacious and well presented. Bathroom spotless. We also really appreciated the AC as it was really hot. Service was very good. My dinner was good and my friend's dinner was ok. Breakfast good too. I would recommend this hotel.

After a couple of problems with the plumbing in the allocated room(s) Michael and Marius managed to resolve the issues in an efficient manner considering it was beyond their control. Ostensibly we were staying in the area to visit some of the film locations of the “Midsomer Murders” series but the position of your property allowed the freedom to discover a whole lot more. Although I would have expected a more expanded menu at the restaurant considering I am allergic to shellfish, in normal circumstances it is sufficient in scope and my wife was pleasantly surprised with the tasty dishes she enjoyed. Positioned comfortably off the highway junction and with a good restaurant and staff prepared to bend over backwards to resolve concerns, I can with all honesty your property for leisure or business clients.

It was fine, staff were very polite, Toilet not so great as would not flush away, bedding good and clean. Could have a few more towels in room. Get rid of the Lillies on tables, they are over powering with their smell when your eating.

Staff were friendly but lots of mistakes. Asked for a welldone steak but got rare then my wife got the wrong steak. Bed was very hard and gave me a back back.
