Excellent. Clean, quiet, modern & light room. But the restaurant is where you excelled, far better than most Hotel restaurants. I left several shirt in my room when I departed. Claire offered to take them to be posted back to me "on her day off". So rarely to you get customer focus like that.

Only one night this time, my wife commented that the shower could been fitted with a flexible hose as an option as most ladies do not wish to spoil their hair under the overhead nozzle. The room was very adequate but a little lacking in style and colour.

A Superb Two Night Stay

This stay certainly lived up to the Accor Group reputation. A friendly welcome at reception but still very professional. The room was large, well furnished and comfortable. The bathroom was also large. One of the attractions of this hotel is that the new rooms are built around a garden quadrangle. The bar and restaurant were of high standard as was the food. The hotel is located in the country side, near the M40 junction and within easy reach of Oxford and Thame. I would hope to stay here again.

The room was nice with comfortable bed, it the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly. The waste bin hadn’t been emptied and the tiled floor wasn’t swept. The restaurant food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stay regularly and the accommodation and staff are as good as ever. Unfortunately last night seemed a busy night and the food was the poorest I've had in all my visits.

Nice country hotel with large rooms

Very friendly and helpful staff, who sorted out the issue of no bed in the room for my son very quickly. We had a very large room and bathroom, with a comfortable bed and good facilities. My only issue is that being on the ground floor we could hear every movement from the rooms above us and people running up and down the stairs near us. As someone who often uses the more budget hotels such as IBIS and Premier Inn, I was surprised as I have never had this problem in them. The food in the restaurant was very good, although at times the service was extremely slow (there were five customers in the restaurant).

Really super hotel and staff very helpful, great food and breakfast. Handy for motorway access but far enough away to cut he noise and to Oxfords surrounding countryside. Well worth a visit if close by.

The room was large, but had far fewer sockets for plugging in devices that would normally be accepted as standard. The bath and hand towels were smaller than in most standard hotels; the step down from the bath could not be safely covered by the tiny bath mat. There were no flannels. At breakfast the porridge was disappointing and unpalatable (inadequately cooked and therefore not eaten). Tea was served in a coffee pot, and vice versa.

Everything was satisfactory. We had breakfast and dinner. Dinner was quite good, but the service was average. Breakfast ok but not memorable. Room was nice and spacious and clean.

Great Mercure experience at an English countryside

Check in was very efficient by a welcoming front desk office and our room was ready within minutes. Room had a queen sized bed and was very spacious, with nice farmhouse view. We chose this hotel as it was the nearest ACCOR group hotels to the Bicester Shopping Village and at the same experienced the English countryside hospitality. Will definitely choose Mercure Thame Lambert hotel again.

The hotel was nice and the room lovely. I did find that the walls were a tad thin which allowed me to hear normal conversation being held in the next room. Breakfast was very nice although I wasn't too sure about the sausages as they were vegetarian and tasted slightly scented.

Friendly Staff, nice hotel but...

We are real fans of Olde World Mercure hotels and this ticks so many boxes. Location is fantastic and so convenient for Oxford and the sights, staff are excellent being warm and friendly but certain things need correcting particularly for disabled travellers. Accessible room 102 is on the ground floor in the modern wing and next to the fire door but this causes the issue that, as the door leads from a courtyard it is keycard controlled and slams every time it is used. Slightly annoying at 09.30 but a real pain around midnight!. The accessible room has handles all around the toilet but none over the bath and shower making it impossible to have a bath or shower without a real danger of falling. The room itself is wheelchair and mobility friendly with twin beds and great housekeeping but the layout of the bathroom and location of the room next to the door is unfortunate. The staff on reception and housekeeping are first class and both breakfast and dinner are terrific, it is such a shame that the room was a bit of a letdown.

The room seemed very clean and well laid out. Free safe, tea and coffee making facilities, and free fast WiFi. I would have preferred to be able to increase the room temperature by a degree or two. Meals were very good and staff were excellent. I would have preferred that dogs were not allowed in the bar especially when they bark. Overall very good indeed, would go again.

Noisy heater and poor breakfast experience

I was disappointed with my stay as the heater in the room was very noisy and due to the cold weather I couldn't just switch it off. In addition to this the breakfast was very poor. not only did I wait 35 minutes for my porridge. When it arrived to make matters worse it was not cooked properly and I was eating half cooked oats for the rest of the day.
