I was surprised that safe drinking water is not offered in the rooms or bathrooms. Water is all sold and not included in room price. This is the first time I have experienced this in Brazil

It was good. The major complaint I have is that the AC did not work for the first three days of my stay. The second minor complaint is regarding the type of toilet paper is used in the hotel. The system of little plies of paper at a time is very inconvenient, unsanitary, and prone to clog the sewer system.

On my first night, I was waked by another Guest in my Room. The room by anyway, was double sold by front-desk. The hotel Manager and staff, has kindly apologize for the inconvenience.

Good location, large rooms, breakfast with large variety of foods, employees are usually very kind... air conditioner and TV remote control hardly work, hotel rates are quite exensive... In brief, cost x benefit relaion is very much questionable.

The English capabilities of the staff should be strengthened. I missed a kettle from the room. And also missed a detailed description how to use the cofee machine. I missed ENglish news chanels such as Euronews or CNN. (Have scrolled the the first 20)

I came to Grand Mercure in Belem twice. First in March to book the facility for the event and to arrange services. The second visit covered the period 26 October - 3 November and involved the conference itself. During my stay I obtained support and help from Mr Maick Nascimento, as well as from Larissa and Lenice.

The rooms were okay, the bathroom didn't have that much ventilation.. The towels weren't made of a good material, they seemed cheap. The hallways were extremely dark and the flooring (of the room floor and the hallway) was of a porcelain that was sticky probably because of the humid weather of Belém. But it was an overall agreeable stay.

The experience was great, a highlight is the crew that is very supportive, skilled and polite. Cuisine is another highlight, dishes well served. The only issue was the hotel did not send me the invoice of my stay, it should be by email.
