Grreat location. Rooms big with great views. Wonderful staff. Would have no qualms choosing this over Sofitel down the road. My only criticism is bad pillows (and you only get one a person-no spares in cupboard).

Great location. Arrived at 10.30am. Room was ready to check in. (we thought we couldn't check in until 2pm so this was awesome as we were heading to movie world for the day and had planned to drop our bags in the lobby and check in officially when we returned in the early evening.) Room was clean and housekeeping came while we were out for the day. Came back to a lovely made bed, which was super comfy and bloody huge. Room was light and good size. 24th floor. Great views. Only downfall was that we only had 2 nights there. Would like to stay again in the warmer months and check out the pool and hopefully get to stay a bit longer than 2 nights. Thanks novotel.

Although I am very grateful for the upgrade to my room I felt that there not being any cupboard space in the twin room was a little inconvenient. This was not a major problem as I was there only for the one night.

For starters I have received a number of review requests addressed to Ash C.. I am Jason Weise and did recently stay with Novotel Surfers Paradise and regardless of the mis-addressing, was not pleased with my stay. I have stayed with the Hotel previously when it was the Grand Chancellor and the experience was great, now it has changed hands it appears to have slipped for the following reasons: 1. We booked our stay months in advance for a room with two double beds and when we arrived was told "we have upgraded you to a king room". When I enquired about extra bedding was told "oh sorry, it only has a King and was then subjected to a lot of concerned looks on the receptionists face where she was saying, I am very sorry I'm not sure we have anything with two beds left, we are heavily booked - but I booked months earlier.. 2. When I was eventually provided another room with the receptionist saying "sorry this room is on a lower floor but is the "only one" I have left with two double beds, I was shocked to go up to the room to find.... it also had a single king sized bed. 3. I and my family went back down to reception to advise of the error and was greeted by another receptionist to be told "that room does have two double beds"... umm no it doesn't, I was just in there. After much tapping on a keyboard was finally told... "oh yes you are right, but I do have a room with two double beds on a higher floor (11)." Why wasn't this given to me only 5 minutes earlier... I was told the previous receptionist was "new" and didn't know the system well. 4. Went up to the new room and were greeted with two double beds, but was dismayed that there was no mini bar at all (in-fact no cold water even) for a four star hotel. Due to my work we stay in hotels "semi" regularly and cannot remember the last 4-Stare hotel room that was so sparse of features - but I was satisfied we at least had a room... until that night... 5. When we finished our evening out we came back up to the room to sleep and the air conditioning was not working (pretty much at all). We would set the aircon to 21 to at least be cool and it would instantly pop back up to 25 on the display and warm air coming out of the vents. Checked it was on cool and not heat and it was - but none of the buttons seems to work properly, when pressing them the screen would dim and go back to previous settings. 6. Water pressure was atrocious in our room (but was hot) and the toilet when we entered appeared to be clean but I was surprised to see no "clean seal" on it - not sure if this is something Novotel does with it's room cleaning regime. Over all our whole family was very disappointed in the stay from greeting to evening stay and would not be recommending it as I had done with the Grand Chancellor.

Very pleasant. Although when we arrived late at 9:35pm and got to our room at 9:45pm the room was great but dark. Someone had moved any lamps out of our room and when we ate our in-room meal we were sitting almost in the dark. With two tiny tiny midget bedside lights. Obviously our room had not been checked for all necessary items. On going past other rooms whilst they were being cleaned I notice that they had upright lamps. Ours was missing. Otherwise it was pleasant. We also asked for extra pillows which we received promptly. Well done. I also was taken aback when going for dinner you could only have the seafood buffet, which was on offer!
