Very helpful service minded staff. Good breakfast, sufficient choice. Good bed, fresh linen. Parking garage with sufficient space and easy entrance. Neighborhood less inspiring Improvement point: Room 205 had a slight smell, with an open window not enough to make a big fuss out of it (when improved the score would be 9.

Stayed in Mercure Stuttgart Zuffenhausen for 2 nights of business trip. This Mercure is a 3-star, albeit on the upper end of the spectrum. The location is a bit far from the city, on the outskirt of Stuttgart. But it's very close to the Porsche Museum, and it has Lidl and big Edeka nearby, hence perfectly served my need. The Lobby is a bit small, but nicely decorated and really gives warm feeling. The receptionists are friendly and communicative, with the check-in and check-out process done swiftly. The room is small but still has enough space to feel comfortable. On the plus side, it has an oversized TV with excellent placement, a big improvement over other 2 4-star hotels I stayed before coming to Stuttgart. The bathroom, especially the shower, does feel a bit cramped. But functionality wise, it is just fine, with the hot water readily available all the time with strong water pressure. Breakfast is above expectation for a 3-star hotel with plenty of seating available. The hotel also serve limited but good light option for lunch/dinner. The hotel also has parking space available for EUR 10 per day, although I personally think that they should provide it for free for hotel guests. Overall, due to the distance, it may not be my first choice when I want to explore Stuttgart as a whole, but if I need to stay in Zuffenhausen area, this hotel will be my first choice.

The room' bath needs renovation it was old fashined with the 80-90' years style. On the top of that the room was really cold and heating was not possible only cooling, dry and ventillation. I had to use both bed blankets...

I was expected and check in and out was easy. I received an upgrade to my room from a single to double. The room facilities all worked including the very good air conditioning. The shower was a bit small (or I am too big). Breakfast had a good choice although fake scrambled eggs are always a disappointment. The staff were all friendly.

Unpleasant early wake up by a construction site noise outside the window

We were given a room adjacent to a noisy construction site and we were woken up at 6 a.m. on Monday morning by the outside noise. The noise was really really bad. Nobody told us that such a thing might happen. We should not have been placed in such a room at all. The receptionist informed about it said that nobody had informed them about such a problem and that I should wait one hour and talk about it to a manager. It seemed ridiculous because even if you went outside you could hear the noise badly.

Before we left we clearly hand the do not disturb sign in our rooms and when we came back to the sign being removed and the sign was placed in our rooms. Cleaning was done while we were away. As we were not expecting any staff to enter our rooms, our items were left open and the cleaning staffs stole our money in our luggage bag while they were in. We have had good experience in other Mercure hotel past years and this was extremely disappointing as it shouldn't be happening at all. Not minding the cash missing but privacy was invaded when we clearly instructed not to.

The hotel is updating the fifth floor and they are starting at 8.00 with JACKHAMMER! It is so loud we could not sleep with ear plugs on the ground floor! Normally this sort work will start at the hotels after 10.00 at least; during morning hours usually tiles will be put or some other quiet work will be done. At this hotel they don't care at all. The girl at the reception has explained us that eight o'clock is a best time for working with jackhammer. Actually, it is everything you should know about this hotel and its management.

The room we were allocated was clearly a single room with a double bed and as a result space was very limited, this was not made clear to us when we booked the room.

although I made an online checkin to save time, my room key was not ready and my check in took longer then my colleague who arrived at the same time without an online pre-check in. Room was at street side and quite noisy in the morning

I checked in at 8th of July. During check in I got room 501. When I entered the room, I was found that it was one of the smallest rooms in the hotel - single room with single bed. I opened the hotel site and found that a lot of better rooms available - standard double and superior rooms. So I had to go back to the reception and ask for the room upgrade - which I did first time at all since I got Platinum status a long time ago. Finally I got room with double bed, # 505, but now looks like I have to ask for upgrade during initial check-in

The staff were fairly grumpy I was given the wrong food in the bar but then they claimed it was correct Ordered 2 beers and they brought 3 out to me and wouldn't take the last one back. the aircon in the room was switched to heat when the temp was 37 degrees outside generally wouldn't stay there again
