A nice new hotel. Good security as key card required for elevators. The room was very small. There was little room for luggage. It was ok for 1 but it might be right for 2 people with luggage.

We have stayed at this property before and make it a must when we drive down from Canada. The staff are great and friendly and go out of their way to help. We had to make a quick change of plans and extend our stay as a tropical storm had come into the coast. The staff here were more than accommodating and made us feel very well taken care of. We also had our dog with us who enjoyed saying hello to all her new amigos!!

This hotel is the best hotel in Mazatlan – and the best value for money! Sleep Quality: It was perfect. No noise at all. View: We were in room 670 (excellent big room with 2 double beds) on the top floor – with a great view - we could even see the ocean and the three islands. Check-in: The male receptionist that checked us in is the best so far - very efficient and professional. Window: It does open – which is great compared with other Ibis hotels in Mexico where the windows do not open. Improvements – a few smaller details could be improved at this Ibis: Housekeeping: We have stayed at this Ibis hotel numerous times and each time our room’s housekeeping/cleaning has always been excellent (except for always getting only 2 towels for a 3 guest- booking) – however this time it was not excellent: 1. The floor was powdery (empolvado) with dust (the feet turned darkish quickly). 2. The beds were made sloppily the following morning (sheets wrinkly and not tucked in properly). 3. The dirty towels were not changed (which never happened before) - but taken back to hang on the bathroom hooks from the bedroom (and no third towel was provided). 4: No spare toilet roll was provided (which never happened before). Other Improvement: Sink Tap Water Pressure Issue (room 670): The hot water pressure was great but the cold water pressure was very weak/defect. Extras: We would love a refrigerator in the room (like in the big rooms of other Ibis Hotels in Mexico) - and we would happily pay more for a room with a refrigerator. We will happily return to this great Ibis Mazatlan Hotel in the future!

Found dirty floor, shower drain clog with hair, reading card deactivate 3-4 time . Very annoyeing, emergency doors was lock not permitted go to second floor,force to take the annoying elevator.

This hotel is probably the best hotel in Mazatlan - in terms of sleep-quality! We had a very good stay at this hotel. There are little things that can be improved at this Ibis, but for the price this hotel is very good value and it is one of very few hotels in Mazatlan without frequent noise problems as in loud music. The good things were: Cleanliness, big trash-can, great soap, great tv, great beds, lack of carpets in the room, good bathroom lighting, good toilet. Sleep quality was also good. However, you do hear people talk and shout in the corridor and doors slamming. Thus, the doors could definitely be improved because they do not sound proof much at all and they close very loudly and always with a metal bang. The other things that can be improved are: The shower floor does get pretty slippery when using shampoo - which is dangerous indeed. I did slip two times in the shower but I did not fall so I did not get hurt - however - accidents can definitely happen with these slippery shower floors so I strongly advise to have them fixed - for example using an Anti-Slip-Spray like "Rustoleum Spray Supergrip Transparent 500ml" - which permanently and immediately eliminates these slippery surfaces in the shower area. The window does not open so fresh air can never enter the room. The AC does work very well but it is not the same thing as an open window. I wonder why the window does not open. In Ibis Hotels in Europe the windows always open. Maybe there is a bug problem around the hotel - but if that is the case a window insect net (malla) could be used around the window to prevent insects from entering the room. I like to be able to open the window. And year after year without ever opening the window in the room is not an appealing thought at all. The shower is acceptable - but most Ibis Hotels have better showers. The water pressure is acceptable but not great, and the temperature moves by itself up and down - from cool to warm and back to cool and so forth and so on which is weird. The Hotel Reception: 1: The receptionists are all very friendly. 2: But they rarely answer the emails. 3: As an Accor Silver Member I asked for a late check-out which I also kindly received. Every time I ask for a late check-out at an Ibis Hotel in Mazatlan and other Ibis Mexico hotels (as opposed to in Europe) the rest of the hotel staff is always never informed of my late check-outs so I always either get a phone call from the reception a little after 12 asking me why I have not left the room yet - or alternatively a knock on the door by the cleaning lady again a little after 12 asking me why I have not yet left the room. The same thing happened also this time at this Ibis Hotel. Thus, ideally the relevant hotel staff is informed of the late check-outs so that these unnecessary phone calls and door-knockings can be avoided. Anyway - we like this Ibis Hotel and will happily stay here again.

We were told that the breakfast buffet was available at 6:30am but; unfortunately, the food, etc. was not completely out until almost 7am. The young woman in charge of taking the money for the buffet was rarely at her station as she was also responsible for bringing the food out of the kitchen; therefore, sometimes it was necessary to pay for your breakfast later. I'm afraid that some people did not pay at all.

This hotel is very good for the MXN1175/night that we paid: THE GOOD: Location: Great location near malls, restaurants, Walmart, Liverpool and Sears. Bathroom: It is nice – except for that the ventilation is connected to a neighboring room so I could be in my bathroom and listen to a phone conversation of my neighbor while their baby was crying. Beds: Very comfortable! However, if you are very tall it is worth noting that the length of the beds at this Ibis are shorter than the standardized Ibis Hotels in Europe. I estimate that the beds are 15 centimeters shorter than in the standardized Ibis Hotels. Window: It can be opened which is great! However, the windows are not soundproofed. Carpet: There is no carpet which is great! AC: It is great! Toilet paper: Good quality. Toilet: Good quality. Trash can: It is very big which is great! Soap/shampoo: It is of good quality. THE PASSABLE: Sleep quality: Overall – it was good. However, when the trains pass by - right next to the hotel – they honk their horns unbelievably loudly and you hear it super loudly and clearly in the room since the rooms are not soundproofed. It is no way that you could sleep through it. This may come as a bit of a shock to Europeans because trains in Europe never honk their horns in the cities. The last train we heard was at about 23:00 at night. In addition, you also hear – again loudly and clearly – other hotel guests when they open and close their doors – especially when they slam their doors – as the doors are not soundproofed. Shower: The shower and shower water pressure are OK (a 6 out of 10) but not great. Lighting: The lighting in the room and bathroom is OK but not great. Towels: We were given two towels for a room reservation of three people. Bottles of Water: We were given two daily bottles of water for a room reservation of three people. THE BAD: The shower temperature changes by itself while showering – several degrees – from warmer to colder and back, and so on and so forth. NO REAL COMMENTS: Breakfast: We did not have time to try the breakfast so I cannot comment on it. Disco Music: On the Saturday night – from the building in front of the Hotel Ibis – there was super loud disco music coming out of that building. Our room was located on the backside of the hotel so we could not hear that music in our room (Thank GOD!!!) – but my guess is that all the rooms located on the front side of the hotel must have had to listen to that disco music all night. IMPROVEMENTS TO CONSIDER: Soundproofing: Soundproofing the doors and the windows. Since there should be nothing more important to a hotel than the sleep quality of the guests. Shower temperature: Fixing the shower temperature so that it does not fluctuate.
