I enjoyed the stay overall, but the hotel seems a bit dated. Also there are no room service menues in the room so you need to call them for recommendations and don't understand your full range of options and prices.

« Excellent service and lack of renovation and maintenance »

Overally we had a good one night stay at the Grand Amman. The staff was very gentle and courtesy, as well as we got a very generous upgrade which made us very happy and stay comfortable. The amount paid for the stay was fare and I would defenetelly consider c The Executive lounge in the 8th offer an amazing food and drinks service (for a hotel lounge standard) and the staff at that moment was super friendly. I am just not giving a higher valuation to the hotel in this assessment for the fact that the hotel is clearly missing renovation and modernization.

I dont know when it got shifted from Le Meridian to Le Grand Ammam. It still shows 5 Star but the rooms lag behind in many ways. The iron board was rusted, no sleepers in room, empty mini bar, deserted restaurant. Hope you guys can upgrade the rooms and service.

« Very mixed experience »

I stayed recently for 2 nights in an Executive room - booked via the Accor Hotels website. On check-in I was assigned an incorrect room type and when I queried this with front desk I was told the booking was for a Deluxe room and there were no Executive rooms available. After showing my original reservation I was eventually changed to the correct room (no explanation of how there were suddenly rooms available?) and it turned out the Executive floor was almost empty... Rooms are large and comfortable but quite dated. The staff in the Executive lounge were lovely - especially Aws who looked after us very well. The food selection for happy hour in the lounge is very good and tasty but the drinks were mainly local spirits and the wines were hit or miss - the local Jordan River or St George wine was good when available but they also had some terrible Italian white that was practically undrinkable. The free on-site parking is a big bonus but other than that we didn’t really use any of the other facilities.

The staff are very nice and helpful I was able to check in as early as 9:30AM and got a nice room upgrade as well . the room is very clean but the hotel and furniture itself need to be renovated . Even though it was one night only but it was extremely pleasant .

What makes this hotel? The staff! Helpful friendly and they really did go that extra mile to make us feel welcome. The room was fabulous and clean. The bed was comfortable. Check-in staff were friendly and helpful. However, people continously interrupted at both check-in and check-out making it very frustrating. Breakfast was average at best. Hotel is old and needs a refurbishment. Tap water stinks. Toilet amenities extremely poor.

« Great but can be Fantastic with a bit of Improvement »

Everything was great. The staff, the location, the hotel and the grand lobby. Just did not sleep well due to your air-conditioning system. You switch it off during in between summer to winter. Not taking in to consideration that it might be cold in the evening but still warm during the day and your guest do also enjoy the room during the day. But this is a technical issue which your team cannot do anything about. Finally opened the windows full, but you have to consider again the major highway noise. So really bad sleep the whole 4 nights we were there.
