Le Grand Amman looks like it would have been nice in its heyday but it's now in desperate need of refurbishment. Nothing looks particularly clean in the rooms or restaurant. Lots of dirty marks in the room and dirty grout/sealant. Hopeless shower over bath. Beer from the bar was barely below room temperature. Wasn't offered a welcome drink as an Accor silver member. Underwhelming breakfast.

I was disappointed that there were other aspects of your stay that did not exceed your expectations. It is true that Le Grand Amman is going under renovation to be Re-Flagged Sofitel once complete, since We aim to be affordable and convenient to all our guests Though we work very hard to keep the hotel clean and neat at all the time, I appreciate that we cannot get it right all of the time but would hope that when we make a mistake, we really try to rectify it during the guests stay, to ensure that they leave us feeling happy and relaxed. I came to this place after visiting another 5* hotel in Aqaba and the standard and level of service was completely different. These rooms are VERY outdated and they still have old oak furniture that may have been here for 25-30 years. They should/must completely refurbish the place as this is not the standard I am used to receive from Accor group - I had a much better experience, service and standard in some Ibis hotels elsewhere and it was brand new and cost me 1/4 of what I paid here. This is NOT a 5* hotel but rather a 3* one and the staff is not getting things right first time and I had to renew my requests a few times for them to get it right - this highlights a lack of training/coaching across the board. This is not a language or communication issue as they clearly understand but always prefer the easy option for them and not for the customer. This is also completely overpriced -we selected it because it was well rated on tripadvisor and I wanted to treat my wife with a great hotel but it was not a good choice. We could also smell smoke in the common areas, including on the 5th floor where I was and into my room even though I had a non smoker room. I had to request a baby cot 3 times where it should already be in the room waiting for us as we mentioned this during the booking. The swimming pool and showers are extremely dirty. The breakfast is also very basic for a supposedly 5* hotel- I am used to getting a similar buffet at Ibis hotels (3*). Overall, this is a very expensive hotel and the service is poor with a very outdated place. I am sure this hotel was nice once but it is no longer the case. The few pictures attached witness the poor maintenance and outdated furniture of the hotel.

Very good rooms, excellent service, room service was outstanding. Restaurant could be better, a la carte menu was disappointing, but the buffet and breakfast were excellent. Also I think that 1 restaurant in a 5* Hotel is not enough, you should at least have 2, for more choice.

The hotel was quite aging, not worth the stars. Some services were good, either not that much. Mixed feelings about the restaurant as well, especially concerning the service.

Unfortunately hotel was ongoing renovation. Only one restaurant was open. Room was ok and clean. Poolbar was closed during my stay so that was not positive ! Staf friendly One day wifi did not work in the morning. For me this was very annoying as I had to send some emails.

Excellent staff and very nice rooms, a little surprised and disappointed to find that due to refurbishment there was only one of the 3 restaurants open. Was not aware that was going to be the case when I made the booking. However the stay was a very pleasant one and the pool area was very good.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and especially appreciated access to the executive lounge. We loved being able to have breakfast there each morning, and enjoyed an evening drink. The executive lounge staff were very professional and friendly. Our rooms were well appointed, and on our second stay the suite was large and luxurious. We appreciated the added touch of a dish of fresh fruit on arrival and a voucher for drink in the bar.

The room was so hot and noisy

I requested to have a quite room when I reserved. My room was so noisy. The room was like an oven in a way that tge last night me and my daughter couldn’t sleep. My daughter at 4 am started crying badly because of the intolerable heat and I couldn’t do anything that time till morning when we left finally I was really waiting for the minute to leave the hotel because of the bad experience and the heating problem

I extermely enjoyed stying at the hotel, every thing was perfect starting with service I got and going thru the swimming pool , and ending by the breakfast.
