« Everything we needed for a travellers overnight experience. »

We had good service, a quite room and location within a short walk to the beach was very convenient. The hotel was not to the standard of some other Mercure hotels I have stayed at, but it was clean and had everything we needed.

« Excellent value for money...shame about the rubbish breakfast! »

Room with balcony was lovely, with view to the sea a bonus. It was very clean and also cleaned thoroughly daily. Staff were very helpful However the breakfast was the worst I have ever had at any hotel...artificial juice, instant americano...poor choice of bread..no rolls...when melon ran out one morning it wasn’t replaced....quite frankly I am quite grateful it was part of the deal because the stand alone price was daylight robbery...McDonalds provides better!

Nice room, nice staff. A little out of the way for me traveling without a car. Staff weren't very knowledgeable about buses, schedules etc. Most hotels with such a long walk to tge station would know the bus schedule and likely have it printed out for guests. Staff were not knowledgeable or helpful about tge area. You should have a hotel area map where the staff can point things out. I had to rely on Google for information i wanted that the hotel staff should have known. Did not receive a drink voucher or any acknowledgement of being a member. Matteo at front desk was very nice and man with the beard. Also in the restaurant the man with ginger hair was very nice and helpful and offered great service. Housekeeping was very friendly. On check out the front desk staff Nadia was not very friendly. She did not give any sort of greeting to me even after i said good morning. She just looked at me. Then i said check out please and she just said "yes"

Good value for money quality, but poor quality breakfasts, overcooked eggs, poor quality scrambled eggs and coffee, poorly roasted bacon-and mercury in Vilnius was devoid of all these shortcomings

« A decent hotel and experience after a poor start. »

The hotel website states that check in starts at 12 noon. On arrival at 12 I was informed that the website is incorrect and that check in commences at 2pm. The hotel had no record of my reservation which was made on the Accor website. I had my confirmation with me. I was allocated an inferior room with no balcony. When I stated that this was not acceptable I was upgraded to another room despite previously being told that the hotel was fully booked. Having resolved these issues my stay at the hotel was very good with excellent service from the staff. The location is ideal for the beach and exploring Viareggio.

« Not really what I paid for »

The room I booked was a triple room and the room we had was a double room with an extra bed. There was literally just enough room for one person to walk. The breakfast service was far for the Mercure standards. The selection was limited and the worst part was that you always had to ask for something (knife, fork, glass, cup ...). My impression was that the restaurant was understaffed and was not designed to cover such a large number of customers.

A very enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there was some disruption caused by the late and very noisy arrival of a coach party at midnight on Saturday 2nd June.

« Rude receptionist. Noisy hotel (thin walls, household) »

The receptionist on our first day was rude, not even a smile. It seems that we disturb her. I asked for some things and it looks like I pissed her off. The hotel is not like a Mercure standard : really noisy because of the thin walls, and the maid made a lot of noise in the morning while doing the household.

« Great position »

This hotel is in a great position, just down the road from the beach, an easy 5min's walk. The rooms are nice, bit hot while we were there with the air conditioning still on winter mode so had to open the door to let cool air in - bit of traffic noise but better than being so hot. The food in the restaurant was not upto what we had read, we paid for breakfast to be included but had to eat out both morning as the food was horrible. Some staff were great and others were hard work, but we only really used the hotel to sleep in.

« Would rather give 7,5. Happy about personnel, needs some refurbishment. »

I regularly book a room here for brief stays during the week. The hotel is well placed and personnel has been consistently helpful and kind, even caring to fix my booking mistakes; the service is of good quality and the bar restaurant is above average if compared to what Viareggio and Lido have to offer. Rooms are thorn, however; the furniture (not the beds) is uninvitingly stained and we experienced either lightning or minor plumbing issues (leak, douche not working...) in most of our visits. On our last visit we had a rear room directly above the rear, service entrance and we had to ask another room because of prolonged noise starting from 5:30AM. We understand the hotel must provision food and clean linen but, perhaps, it could be done in another moment of the day (whenever rear rooms at 1st floor are occupied).
