« Only 1 Ibis in Medan, no choice »

I think the price IDR 700k/night is expensive for standard room of 3 star hotel. By add 100K I will stay in Mercure Angkasa. No problem, at least I stayed 1 night and think this hotel is standard Ibis, not more. The breakfast, you will not see egg station, but you may have omelette by asking the waiter to make it. As long as you brave enough to ask it. This ibis must learn from Ibis Kemayoran, the best Ibis ever.

Our stay is comfortable and the room is good however there is no hair dryer provided in the room and when i asking to borrow this on 6 am, the staff cant fulfill our request. This is the simple think but unfortunatelly they cant fulfill our request.

Welcome was warm and persons manning the reception were helpful and the service was excellent. Rooms were clean and on par with other Ibis hotels I have stayed. Service in the restaurant was below expectation. There was nobody at the pool side bar when I visited it.

Noisy during the day and till midnight at rooms nearby.Price has become higher. Breakfast food was not refilled when plates are aready empty.Maybe very busy, service was not as excellent as the week before during first stay.

I arrived at about 2pm in the afternoon to check in, but it took quite a while to check me in, then i was told that i would be given a non-smoking floor, later i realized it was a smoking floor, i did not make a fuss because i was told the hotel was full. The quilt cover had an awful smell on it, it smelt like feces with yellow stain, i quickly asked the cleaning service to change the quilt for us too.

The basement parking is very difficult to pass espesially on the curves. Also the entrance for second basement parking is very dangerous, because the entrance and the exit are the same line. The breakfast and room are nice.

Last August was my family and I first time time stayed at the hotel. Staff was nice and friendly at the reception. Food were ok as a 3 stars hotel. However, when is breakfast time staff should be more organized. we were stucked finding a place to sit down as a family of 4 because some table with 4 chairs were occupied by one person. Apart from that we had a good experience at this hotel and looking forward again to staying again at IBIS Medan. Kind regards, M. S.

Positive : Room is clean, typical ibis styles setup and deco. Location is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Negative : As a Silver member, i was expecting a welcome drink but ive been told by the receptionist that welcome drink only available for Platinum’s member only which is weird. I booked two rooms and requested both rooms to be adjacent to each other upon booking (made few months before my trip), but didnt happened. I was given room 506 and my parent’s room was 519 which is on the other side. I understand that the hotel was (almost) full, but i believe if they have arranged it earlier, that would not be the case. Breakfast was mediocre. It was Sunday, hotel’s quite full. Went breakfast around 830am, most of the foods were almost finished and refill was very slow. Juice glass, coffee cups and cutleries were not replenished until I requested for it.
