« Great rooms, great view, close to the Expo Center. »

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont. I was attending a conference at the Expo Center, and the location was ideal for that. Room and bed were comfortable and well appointed. I would recommend the Fairmont to anyone visiting Nanjing.

« Incredible rooms, less than ideal service »

The rooms and spa were beautiful and very well kept. The beds were very comfortable and the views are fantastic. I was disappointed with the service though. I was traveling with a female coworker and felt that we received lesser consideration than other couples. At the bar upstairs, we waited 20 minutes while other couples arrived after us and were greeted and served before us. We were not approached at all about a second beverage and had to approach the girl at the desk to get our tab after nearly an hour of us sitting there, trying to flag down the waiter. I was really looking forward to this bar, and was very disappointed with the experience I had there. We also noticed that a married couple were shunted in front of us in the line at the front desk when we checked in.

Had light in ceiling above T.V. flash off and on each second the entire night while trying to sleep. Turned the master light switch off at 11:00 p.m. and the light blinked off and on all night. Had your front desk send someone to fix - he took the light out.

Arrival was ok, little bit of queue but rather well organized. Most of the staff couldn’t speak English, a bit surprising for a Fairmont. Location and building are great but the rooms are already looking old and poorly maintained. The swimming pool was absolutely disgusting, the water was probably changed last year... To finish on a good point the breakfast was very good, lots of space and choice.

The hotel it’s a five star hotel in every way but the best asset is the General Manager who takes personal pride in ensuring all guests receive a warm friendly homely experience. The best manager I have ever met in the 25 years I’ve been traveling the world.

We love the rooms and the services . However the facilities especially the pool and the gym fall short. The breakfast is expensive and there isn't much choice to choose from . There should be more international food and the food spent not look appetizing. We choose one day only to eat at hotel. We are disappointed with the tea set offered for gold club. It's is not nice and nothing to shout about. So the gold club isn't much and not worth it

« Good hotel in NanJing, good location »

I’ve stayed here many time, because it’s hard to find a good hotel in NanJing. This one is probably the best in its area. Rooms are comfortable, clean with good shower! Closet and toilet doors are alway get into your way. Luggage rack is too low and too narrow, my siut case always slips down to the floor. The bed very high. Lighting design in the room is terrible. All day dinning cooking food is very boring. Cooking level is very elementary. The server at the egg counter cannot even cook the eggs right also very slow. Internet is super slow.

I enjoyed almost everything about this hotel. But the WiFi was extremely slow and unpredictable. This is unacceptable for a world-class hotel that purports to cater to business clients. I would want to know that this problem has been addressed before booking another stay here.
