My first time in Beijing and the Fairmont was a very nice hotel to stay in. My only gripe was lack of dining options. But the lounge / bar was good.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Beijing on the Golden floors. When the smog was quite thick it was nice to have a space with cleaned air to retreat to as needed. The staff were all very courteous and helped suggest a number of sites to visit between meetings and provided tourist maps as required. The breakfasts and evening appetizers provided a small sample of some local cuisine while also allowing for a western meal if a break was needed. The only improvement I can think of was that the heat in the room was quite high, at 24°C. It would have been nice to have a bit more climate control in the space. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay was great. The Fairmont Gold staff strive to please every guest, from remembering the name to knowing what you drink. they provided us with a great deal of info on the city and where to go. The room was clean and the staff who maintained the room were pleasant and helpful with a call every night for a turn down service. The only disappointment was the restaurant in the lower level. The staff was not attentive and the food was not great. the salad bar was nearly empty. we were also told that the only reservation they had was at 8:00 PM. when we arrived at 7:45, there were only 5 tables occupied and no one came after us. 2 points: they could have set us earlier and they could have been more attentive as there was more staff than customers. Overall experience was very positive.

Fabulous fantastic amazing words cannot describe my experience at the hotel. From the moment my colleague and I were picked up from the airport the service was seamless. We were very well taken care of as we arrived late at night the team at the rewception were very quick at checking us in seeing that we were exhausted. The arrival experience was one of the best we've had as we check Into hotels every second day and want it to be quick as we have long flights and less hours to rest before our meetings next day. The room was very clean, comfortable and very spacious as we are very picky and stay in top hotels in the world. Fairmont Gold service was excellent we had some meeting with our business partners and we felt that we looked after well and felt like we are at home. The General Manager was very polite courteous and helpful to us and our guests which made us look good. Our dining experience in the cut on thanksgiving night was very special and the food was exceptional. Also our departure experience was very good as it was quick and flawless considering that we were in a rush to leave. And yes the older doorman is very sweet a good gesture. Overall I felt that u are not only the best hotel in Beijing but one of the top in China !! Congratulations and keep up the great job!!

I stayed at previous 5 star famous international hotels in Beijing,but Fairmont Beijing stands out in terms of luxury in every detail , comfort in every detail too. From the very spacious comfortable room, bed and bed sheets , pillow cover , toiletries in room , spa , steak house , breakfast etc : you can feel it every where.

Our stay at the Fairmont- service & staff on gold floor was excellent Only downfall was dinner one evening at the Lunar8. Service was non existent, we were one of only occupied 5 tables , yet had to leave our table to ask for items. Food was carelessly displayed. This was a shockingly abrupt departure to the rest of our Fairmont experience.

« Gold Floor team was awesome - Room issues not addressed »

The team on the Gold Floor are truly world class. They work really hard to address all of your needs as a guest. However the issues with the room comfort were raised with the hotel but not addressed. I stayed for 1 night at the start of the week before returning for my last 2 nights in Beijing. After Monday night I mentioned that my room 1909 was too hot and the air conditioning was not working. I was told this would not be an issue when I returned at the end of the week. On the weekend I told Fairmont staff that my room was too hot. Engineering came to my room and opened the window saying there was nothing they could do with my 24.5C room temperature since the air conditioning was turned off for winter. Since the building is pressurized the room does not cool down even with the window open so I was excessively hot all weekend. As a luxury hotel, your guests should be able to warm or cool their rooms to meet their personal needs. As great as the Gold Floor team was the hot room caused lack of sleep and ruined my weekend in Beijing.

I am writing you today to thank you for taking the time and answering our company’s quality survey and to apologize for missing the opportunity of meeting you whilst still staying with us. Please allow me to start by presenting my most sincere apologies for the miscommunication that seem to have occurred during your stay with us. On average for commercial buildings the cold air produced by the AC system is delivered at a temperature of 18 C in summer. However during the month of October 2018 Beijing had an average of 9 C at night time. It is because of this situation, turning on the AC at the lowest setting in the room would have actually increased the temperature relative to the outside. I believe my team was not fully aware of the technical details and therefore could not explain the matter fully. Dear Mr. T., please know I have noted your low room temperature request in our system so my Engineering team can ensure colder rooms for you whilst staying with us. With this in mind I would personally appreciated if you could let me know before your next planned trip to Beijing so I can ensure our team would carry on the necessary preparations. It was a short but as usual; a wonderful stay at Fairmont Beijing, it's always a great feeling, dealing this hotel staff, they are all a very dedicated, professional and friendly staff who knows very well the real meaning of the customer satisfaction. « The bed is truly comfortable »

The bed in the room is truly comfortable and this is definitely a plus. There is one little issue happened upon check in, the front desk gave me the wrong room key which when I head into the room there was welcome fruit and snacks and I knew that these weren’t suppose to be in my room, so I went down and check with the front desk which showed I was right. Please pay attention to this in case the same thing happened again.
