Great location to discover the city. Easy access via Tube, close to financial and moder district, silk market. Close by taxi to main attractions. Staff is helpful and nice. Rooms are big and functional and beds very comfortable. In-room Nespresso machine. Bathrooms are big. Gym is stunning for being a hotel. Pool very nice. Wi-fi needs improvements.

In highly rated hotels, we are normally welcome in a more helpful way. No one helped us, or offered help with our luggage. We had to bring everything to the room ourselves.

We living in Fairmont Hotel Beijing, the king sized bed is comfortably sized and elegantly placed within the room with a beautiful view of skyline! The beautifully located and complementary access of the Fairmont Gold lounge and without doubt our experience a hugely satisfying and relaxing. The lounge access provides daily continental and Chinese buffet breakfast of which is plentiful of choices and quality. Nespresso machine coffee, tea, freshly squeezed juice and Norwegian sparkling water is available throughout the day. There is also the choice of freshly eggs, hash brown and wonton noodle soup in the breakfast menu. Afternoon tea is filled with small canapés and dessert, while evening cocktails, red and white wine and sparkling wine finishes off a wonderful lounge experience. The service must be complimented as it is seamless and first class as we are treated like VIP guests. I can assure that the Gold Lounge experience definitely adds to the level of service and overall experience. Certainly, these 4 nights Fairmont stay was fantastic. From the beautiful in-room experience to the personalised services of the Gold Lounge personnel, thank you for the luxurious experience.

« Nice place but low service level »

In a 5 star international hotel I would expect an English speaking professional service. Especially in the Gold Lounge we experienced a really poor service, even not able to provide a 10 minutes boiled egg and forgetting to serve the ordered coffee while the English communication was almost impossible. Three elevators for such a big house are not enough, even the elevators are. Ovine very slow. We had to spend plenty of time just waiting for one.

Hello, First, thank you so much for hospitality and Beijig at all. I really loved your Concierge service Erik and all guys. They are nice. but i didnt like Reception workers at all. They were not so happy to see me and were not so polite it was just like in random hotel, like Hello, give money, and bye bye. But I liked rooms are clean.m Thank you. I got opinion that Chineese people are not Guestfull for Tourists.

The overall experience with the Fairmont Hotel is satisfactory except the F & B provided by the restaurant especially the the located in the basement. Also, there are very limited selections from your a la carte menu and room service menu.

« Good hotel, but I had a scary encounter. »

I had a really bad and scary experience in the ladies washroom in the hotel basement. After my breakfast at the restaurant in the basement one morning, I went to the washroom located on the same level. It was at the end of a long corridor. Probably it is quite remote, I was the only one in the washroom. The cubicle lock was very hard to turn and I couldn’t unlock it after using the toilet. I was literally trapped inside the cubicle for about 10mins. The worst thing is that I didn’t have my handphone with me, I was alone in the “remotely located” washroom and the cubicle was totally enclosed with the door covering from floor to ceiling, leaving only a thin gap between the floor and the frame for air to pass through. I panicked and kept pounding on the door shouting for help. After quite sometime, a cleaner eventually came to open the cubicle door from outside to release me. If I were to be trapped for another minute or two, I think I would have probably fainted from suffocation! It is a very scary and bad experience for me. If this incident were to happen at night when no cleaner is at work, it can be fatal. The hotel management should seriously consider changing all the cubicle locks in the washroom or even change the doors so that they don’t cover all the way from floor to ceiling.

I'm frequently in Beijing for business and Fairmont is like a second home to me. Extremely friendly staff that are always helpful, and I have personally known quite a few of them due to my frequent stay there. Ailee is always nice and smiley at the reception desk, and reaches out before / after my stay to make sure everything is seamless. Would definitely recommend.

« Beautiful hotel but service is lacking »

The rooms are very clean and beautifully appointed. But as new ACCOR platinum members, we were never informed nor benefited with the platinum privileges: ex: we did not get our welcome package nor welcome drinks. When I mentioned this to front desk, I received blank stares. It is very hard to communicate in English and perhaps this was a reason for the lack in service. But still, the standards of service for an Accor platinum member should be offered automatically.

We stayed in a gold penthouse suite. Accommodations, service, and amenities were all top-shelf. The facilities and personalized service throughout the hotel was exemplary. For those unsure, the VIP lounge is highly recommended.

« Service Not Perfect Like it Used to Be »

Booked direct with Yummy - as usual Yummy was excellent with arrangements and prompt with responses Main Restaurant - standards have slipped here. Food not as good and service not great. Staff spoke very little english Concierge - Eric and Hans are great (miss John Spooner though since he's retired) Gold Lounge - Journey, Selena , Jorya and Saga are excellent. English isn't great with all of them but try very hard. Food standard has definitely slipped. Very little atmosphere. Needs some music! Rooms- always clean, beds always comfortable. Aircon never seems to be cold enough.
