« A fantastic hotel with some of the best staff, facilities and food. »

As always the service was excellent as was the food, room and staff. The only complaint was with the hotel driver that took us to the airport, he spent an awful amount of time taking on his cell phone instead of watching the road, which resulted in two near accidents, my wife actually told him to put the phone down and concentrate on his driving. Shame about the work taking place on the beach, but we understand that is not your fault.

« Nice hotel in a good location, good service. »

We stayed at Fairmont the palm for a week. Upon arrival at 3am checkin was smooth, no issues. Room was good and had a decent balcony view to the sea. Water was complimentary and always restocked every day. We went with the half board option and the buffet service in the flow kitchen was good. We did eat out a few times but the meals we did have in the hotel were nice. Kids enjoyed it as well. My only problem here is you have to pay for a drink including water. So one diet pepsi and a bottle of water was over 40 dirhams. In the end I came to the conclusion its better to eat your meal then go back to the room for the complimentary bottles of water. I have been to other 5 star hotels in the world like the hard rock hotel in Tenerife and they always gave you a complimentary drink plus water. I guess this is the attitude in Dubai in general, to charge you for anything extra which I find is penny pinching. The hotel grounds were nice, good swimming pools and shallow pools for the kids. I did feel having a small water slide would take the pool experience to a new level. Also there needs to be a play area for kids like a slide and swing area which kids really like. The hard rock hotel in Tenerife is a great example of a hotel that does this well. The beach area was nice and we went there a few times. Nice and clean and as its private to the hotel its not too busy. Hotel location was good and easy to get around with taxis which were not too expensive. Overall a good hotel, no major issues. Dubai in general is a nice place to visit in easter due to the weather but it is very expensive so be prepared to fork out a lot not only for flights and accommodation but for living there for a week as well.

« Good but could be better »

Enjoyable family holiday, but I think with the challanges of all the building works around the hotel and how that impinges on guests that some flexibility in other areas to go above and beyond would have been nice. The service in the Seagrill restaurant wasn’t up to the excellent standard in the main buffet area.

« Great hotel with fantastic staff »

It was a family holiday, the hotel was one of the best we have stayed in. The hotel was immaculate, other than some on-going building work near the beach which is nothing to do with the hotel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent with plenty of choice, our room was very nice but as a family room could have done with some more cupboard space for clothes but that's the only little thing that wasn't quite right. We would definitely stay there again .

Room and Room service was good , however we didn’t inform about the construction and the beache situation , and the checkout experience was not good at all as I have been promised to check out late afternoon and got confirmed from the front desk however the back office and the room service were not aware and we have been pushed to leave the room at 12:30.

Bad mattress, no view, at 1pm still no one came for cleaning and replace towels, shower gel and water. Stressed lady was rude to us twice at the breakfast lounge and she did a face to us both times when we requested to sit at the area with more sunlight. At the beach the employee who was supposed to help us to find sunbeds, was keeping dirty towels on them, so he will give them he said to expected guests, even if we were guests too. Two nights we paid for nothing.and it should be very easy to please a young couple but this hotel didn’t show that it cares about us which is the bare minimum.

« A week of sheer luxury »

We chose to return as our previous stay was so memorable, and this one surpassed even that. The staff seemed genuinely pleased to welcome us back, and it was wonderful to recognise some of them. Our stay on the Gold floor made the holiday that much more enjoyable as did our fabulous suite. The building work was unavoidable, however we were warned, and the hotel did the most to minimise disruption. We are now planning our return again next year, and we will definitely return to the Fairmont.

I found the pool service to be bad-the servers were overwhelmed and you need more staff. I waited forever for drink service. Also, the service in the lobby restaurant was awful. There was a lot of construction going-that should have been listed on your website prior to booking. Also-my room was periodically not cleaned until 4 pm. For the amount of money I spent I would have expected much better service.

Surprised by the amount of building work during our stay considering that we were returning guests and little information was issued by Emirates Holidays or Fairmont Hotels. The facilities and staff service were both very good but we may have chosen a quieter hotel on Jumeirah Beach for this year's holiday. We will be back next year but will be checking carefully before booking the Fairmont Palm. Gordon & Alex S..

« Generally great, just a few disappointments »

Very polite staff, great soundproofing in room, replenished water whenever needed, great adult pool, lovely food. The half board at Seagrill rules changed halfway through our stay and it was not offered as per the agreement we had signed. We should have received 195 dirhams each towards the full menu. Instead we were offered a more limited menu that we didn’t want, and it was not what we had the 2 days previous. The salmon I eventually ordered was so raw it could have swum off the plate. Drinks were very expensive. Not enough staff seating at breakfast causing queues. Construction was also very intrusive with the dust and noise. For the price of the hotel I expect more. But other than these niggles we had a great stay and would try your hotel again, perhaps post construction.

« Our stay was a wonderful experience with excellent food, accommodations and service. »

We were very pleased with so many aspects of our stay. The room was AMAZING, the layout with plenty of beds, the quality of all decor, the beds, and, of course, the view! And the grounds that were already constructed were quite nice too! The service was wonderful and I have to mention the wonderful breakfasts! Our additional feedback below is only to help you. Obviously, once the construction is completed, the views and pool/beach experiences will improve. Coming from the US, the electrical setup in the rooms is challenging. There were very few outlets, which of course require converters, but they were not located in good spots nor were there enough, and none very easily located for hairdryers and dressing. The restaurants are difficult to decipher at first. Maybe more signage or posted menus, etc. The room’s AC seemed difficult to control, always seemingly going back to a very cold setting. The only other concern was the ATM machine had no cash making it difficult to pull currency. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. We will look for other Fairmont Hotels as we travel now.

« Lovely hotel , let down by the half board package »

The hotel is beautiful , staff are wonderful , the room was immaculately cleaned . However the half board package was not good , apart from the buffet restaurant which is not a place we would choose to have our evening meal as we like to sit chat and relax together not be going up and down to a buffet , there was no other restaurant that you could eat at for the included price, also sea grill was closed for 3 of our 5 night stay leaving us frevo as our only option for a meal i think you should make this more clear to customers before they book and not wait until they arrive to be told how limited the half board deal is
