Reception was excellent... roooms are very nice .... but Room service was not on the level ... Iwas there with my wife and I found everything was prepared for one person only ...one cup , no extra towels I contacted room service they took more than one hour to reply after I spoke to him personally

Extremely pleased with every aspect of our stay. The team on the Gold Floor is world class; cannot say enough good about them. Food within the hotel was exceptional; as was the bar in the Asian lounge. Congratulations Fairmont Nile our stay with you was an absolute highlight in our trip to Egypt.

Big shame about pool opening times, but health spa and restaurants were top class. Although smoking endemic and difficult to avoid the food offered was incredible with impeccable service! !

Unfortunately, it was bad since the check in time was at 10 pm and it took around 2 hours to get the rooms key. while waiting, i asked for a glass of water and then the reception man went to bring it and he disappear for 10 min then he bring 1 bottle from the supermarket without any glass and he give it to me by hand. my friend was standing beside me and he didn't bother to bring him any thing or even ask him. Later on, after waiting the manger came to us and he said the hotel is fully booked but we are trying to find you 2 rooms despite that we have confirmed reservations then he gave us after two hours 2 rooms in different floors!!!

The room facilities was excellent as I was upgraded to a suit complementary from the hotel when they learned it is our wedding anniversary. Food in room service as well as in the main restaurant was very tasty and good value for money. The music in the restaurant was great .

« 5 star hotel third world service »

Smoking in the hotel lobby. Food on the floor in the common area. I stayed for 11 days, the breakfast was the same thing over and over. The food quality was average nothing exceptional. I needed to pass two security points to get into the hotel and one is from a mall when I was dropped off by a cab. The lines to get into the hotel took 20 minutes so getting dropped off in front was much faster. This was a terrible experience not getting dropped in the front of the hotel. I was charged a debit to my credit card when I asked for a credit. They had no idea between the difference of using a debit or a credit they use terms like hold which is not western language. It is debit and credit to the rest of the world. I was upset because as a business trip I need it to be a credit not a debit. I asked for a simple Iphone plug to my room they wanted to charge me. I have never heard of such a thing. Most 5 star hotels have charges in the room for guests.

« First Class except for smoking »

We had a wonderful experience except for the noise of Egyptian guests yelling up and down the halls keeping us up all night. Asked for a non-smoking floor but Egyptian guests walked out of their room and smoked in the hall next to our door. Smoke was coming in under our door. I am asthmatic and allergic to smoke. It made my breathing difficult. Hard to recommend your hotel knowing how much smoke is in the lobby and hallways.
