We had an amazing experience at the Raffles the staff members are extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable which is important, also have Dyson blow dryers . We loved the breakfast and the fresh juice was delightful!! The concierge team was helpful with hotel reservations and making sure we never had to stand in the VERY long lines for the Long Bar. The hotel is a tourist stop for pictures and the staff does a great job of keeping the hotel guests the priority and keep visitors from entering past the hotel lobby. I would definitely recommend this hotel not only for its history but its beauty. Love the touch that they name the rooms after the famous stars and royalty that have stayed. Walked by John Wayne’s room on my way to the coffee shop. Check out the hall of fame hallway!!

From the very first second, on pick up at the airport, to the last moment of saying goodbye on departure, this was the most perfect stay at Raffles. The whole experience was truly wonderful; the stunning rooms, the main guest area, restaurants, grounds and every member of staff was fantastic. The attention to detail was beyond anything I've ever experienced in a hotel previously and the whole experience was out of this world!

Email communication responses leading up to stay were poor and I have to chase numerous times for response. Excellent check-in, amazing room, helpful butler and Clarence by the pool was great. Service at breakfast extremely poor. We were put outside in the lobby area as tiffin room was full. Service was slow, I requested milk numerous times and it never came out, I had to get my own glass and go to cereal area to obtain milk and the staff did not even apologise when I told them this. The staff at the pool area are lovely but they have too many jobs to do (serving behind bar, helping people to beds, laying towels, taking orders, moving umbrellas). An additional person should be stationed by the pool at all times to obtain guests food and drink orders or there should be a button to press for service. I booked prior to the increase in government tax. When I checked out I was surprised that it was a higher amount to what I was confirmed and I was told it was due to this. I understand it is a legal requirement to pay the additional tax but raffles should shoulder this cost for guests that booked prior to the rate change so that guests that booked prior are not affected. Or at the very least, an email should have gone out to all guests advising of the rate change once it was announced so that guests are prepared that they would be paying more for their room than what was originally agreed. Overall a nice stay but some fundamental shortfalls for the price you are paying.
