Above average for everything else but below expectations in the room: - Was bitten by bed bug in the foot, believe it’s the carpet for the bed - My personal travel size facial wash was cleared and removed along with the previous day’s toiletries. While it’s not expensive, it’s disappointing. Why don’t you just provide new sets without throwing the old ones?

Excellent. However, we are distressed to hear that the hotel is renovating. We have always stayed in the Somerset Maugham suite. If this is substantially changed, we will probably not return. We love your hotel because of its history. If the hotel becomes too corporate, or more corporate than it already is, we will not find it compatible with our aesthetic criteria. We hope that the changes will not be great. We love your staff. They are excellent. We also love the butler system. We hope this kind of amenity will still be available upon our return next year.

Stayed at Raffles Hotel Le Royal on July 2019 for holidays. Overall: 5/5. Delightful stay in a historical hotel Location: 5/5. Close to the center in a semi-residential/administrative area. Next to the National Library and walking distance of Wat Phom (worth a visit). Facilities: 5/5. Beautiful historical wing of the hotel with high ceilings, dark woods and local decor. (I do like historical buildings). Dual swimming pools were quiet and a delight to experience. Lobby is calming and bar is memorable. Food: 4.5/5. International breakfast with the usual mix of Western and Eastern food. Good and well presented, but I personally missed something more local (Khmer food is very varied and tasty). Bar food was excellent. I cannot comment on the restaurants as we did not dine there (went to Malis, highly recommended). Service: 5/5. Very polite and helpful staff.

We had truly memorable stay at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, which managed to even excede fairly high expectation. The staff were truly excellent, expecting our every need and promptly seeing to it. I would particularly like to highlight Mr. Easy from the Elephant Bar - whose bar tending skills, beverage knowledge, and easy charm are second to few I have witnessed; the Manager of Café Monivong - who always greeted us with a smile whether for lunch or breakfast, and even was kind enough to give us a tour of the breakfast offerings!; and, our driver to and from the hotel - who was punctual and courteous throughout. This hotel is what it is because of the excellent work of staff and its architectural marvel!

The stay at Raffles was excellent. The staff in all parts of the hotel were top notch. The breakfast buffet was very good and seemed to be improved since my last visit. The Elephant Bar was excellent and the food I had there was very good. The room was comfortable. The bathroom could use a refresher, but it was also very nice. I look forward to my return trip to Raffles and I intend to bring friends.

I wasn't impressed by Raffles Singapore few years back so I was biased. However, as my FB testimony said, Le Royal is worth the Crown. Overall, from service to breakfast, from bed linen to cleanliness - it was a true 5 star experience, and the best Colonial style stay of 15 years in Asia. What could be improved is the old noisy Airco's but the rest should stay as-is. Keeping its charm !
