From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were extremely well looked after! The Landmark Room was very nice, comfortable bed, claw-foot bath in a lovely bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent, Elephant Bar had lovely ambience, the French restaurant was fabulous, the pool area was peaceful with plenty of shade. We couldn’t fault this hotel!

My most recent stay at Raffles gave me better opportunities to explore the place further -- I finally was able to swim in the warm pool, make use of the gym facilities, and enjoy my meals without rush. In my previous stays, it was mostly just to sleep and eat, all in a rushed manner. But now, I took the time to listen to the bamboo xylophone being played by the musician at the lobby, observe the artworks and displays, and everything this beautiful hotel has to offer. :-) People are now calling me by my first name. I love it.

Hotel staff members were friendly and helpful. I appreciated seeing the same faces again after returning for the third time. While the hotel was old and I seemed to have some issue with the room each time, the issue was always fixed promptly. Breakfast quality and selection were amazing. I look forward to having the hotel fully join the Accor so that LeClub points can be accumulated.

I love this hotel and all its warm, welcoming staff from the front door to check-in desk, the butler, the waitresses in the Elephant Bar and Lobby lounge, the Spa and the Cafe. I always get a sense that I am staying in a very special place at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh. My room overlooking the pool in this historic site seemed like a fairytale out of a timeless novel.

« Room issues, Service Fantastic »

When checking into your hotel, the entire staff shows excellent customer service. The only issues I had was with the room where I had a lizard crawling the ceiling and they could not find it when it went into the lighting fixture. The TV reception was poor and could not get all the English channels. The breakfast buffet was average not up to standards and offering varieties like other 5 star hotels. My last day, I went to the Elephant Bar and ordered a hamburger which took over 20-25 minutes to get my order. The staff never came back to see how was my meal or refilled my water.
