From first impressions on checking in, to front of house, concierge, housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff - everyone was incredibly lovely, accommodating and welcoming and we could not be happier with our stay. So many beautiful people and lovely smiles, everyone so willing to assist, this is something that you always remember about a holiday. I have stayed in some very good hotels all around the world and this was one of my favourites. I am a travel agency manager in Australia and I have told my team of 20 staff what an incredible property Raffles Grand Hotel d-Angkor is and that I would highly recommend to any of their clients.

I have stayed twice during July. Once for four nights then again for one night. I liked being welcomed home on my second visit. My tours and tuk tuk driver was very well organised and tickets for Phare circus were easily organised. It was a shame so few people ate in the hotel which made the hotel restaurant a little soulless. Unfortunately no one told me about the evening dinners at Apsara Terrace.

My husband and I stayed at The Raffles Grand Hotel D’Angkor, right in the middle of our trip around the world. We’d stayed in 5 star accommodations across Ireland, London, and Singapore. There was something off about our stay at this Raffles location. We had spent the day traveling, so rather than venture out into the town, we dined in their upscale restaurant the first night. That meal cost us $250US. One glass of wine each, so this was appetizer, entree and dessert. That shocked us. We had just come from Chiang Mai, where prices reflected that we were in Thailand, but even in a castle in Ireland we didn’t pay that much for our Michelan Star meal! The next night, we had spent the whole day going to temples near and far, so we dined in their casual dining room... that meal was $150 and my husband had a sandwich while I had pasta. Still totally shocking, because I’ll tell you this. That money isn’t translating into livable wages for their employees... the cost of doing business is absolutely, unequivocally not equal to the cost of doing business in the states. So where is that money going, exactly? Because we had bugs in our room... and while the employees were nice, we had TWO tell us they couldn’t give us recommendations in the dining room because they haven’t eaten there. One of them had been employed for the hotel for 5 years. Are you paying them comparable wages to the US? Are these employees making $15 an hour w/ benefit packages? Because if they aren’t, then this is a total and complete rip off. For comparison, so we knew this wasn’t the experience throughout Cambodia, we ate at a restaurant in the Angkor Wat temple complex and paid $30US for four people, with beers. Oh, and, to cap things off, our taxi driver that we’d hired throughout the trip had told us a police official had seen my husband and I get into his taxi while at his post in the Raffles parking lot, and pressured him to take us to a tourist trap gift shop because we had money. We refused to go, but that gives me the idea that things aren’t what they seem at this hotel, and we will not be staying there again. Shame on you.

Was classic from the word go. The welcome,the lounge, the original lift from 1929. The rooms retained their old world charm too with the appropriate modernization including fast WiFi. The traditional dress worn by the Bell boys, the huge pool, the gardens, the tennis courts - all of them added the Grand touch. The breakfast spread was extensive too. Would love to go back there in cooler climes, but the July weather took nothing away from the Raffles Grand d'Angkor.

e were warmly welcome and service’s been amazing from the moment we step into the property. The ambience of the lobby is so serene – just what my husband and I expected. Check In was very prompt! The staff (Dara Vichet) remembered our room number and already made their way to return us the key even before we reach the lobby (Observant at its best!) and we were greeted by our names each time we made eye contact. Thank you Dara Vichet! We stayed in the suite room category. Huge and spacious! Love the design of the suite, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. I love the colonial style! There are 2 bathroom which comes with a bathtub each. I don’t mind spending a whole day in the room, it is that good! Welcome fruit was generous, I saw my favourite Mango hence I really enjoyed it. On our first day at breakfast we opt for a seat nearer to the window as we both love the sun, had our usual tea, apple juice and pancake. A very quiet and relaxed environment. On our subsequent visit for breakfast, the staffs knew our room number and greeted us by name. Showed us to our favourite seat and immediately told us that they know we would like to have tea and apple juice. Applause for that! A for effort. I am so touched. Thank you Srey and Borany for your amazing service! Spent most of our stay exploring the hotel facilities and by the poolside. Just what we needed – a breather from a super hectic city lifestyle. We had a 60 minutes couple spa treatment; Som as my therapist for the Aromatherapy session. I love the whole relaxing experience and her pressure was perfect! Thank you, Som! Housekeeping - Very prompt service, kept our room tidy all the time. Check Out was very prompt – Thank you Bunnath for assisting us and reminding us to ensure we did not leave anything behind (but we left our heart! J) Chris from the Front Office was very thoughtful to share with us some of the places we can visit for Halal Restaurant in Siem Reap as I was wearing a Hijab. It is very kind of him to provide us recommendations and shared a namecard of the person we can contact. Simple gesture but it goes a long way! Thank you Raffles Hotel Sieam Reap for making our very first ever wedding anniversary a relaxing and memorable one. We look forward to coming back with our little baby hopefully! It is a gem! Staff is truly committed to creating service excellence!
