Am anticipating an relaxing day in Zurich with Swissotel. However the check-in experience and room did not live up to expectations. Julie (good effort from her) did try attempt some recovery after feedback obtained from website survey after the internet connection.

Rather disorganised messages on checking-in regarding the availability of a room, and a rather small room when eventually allocated, but staff in the bar/restaurant very friendly and quick service, even if the food would not win any Michelin stars.

Everything was wonderful, especially the breakfast. Only complaints were no wash cloths ever appeared in my bathroom after the first day and the mattress was covered with a rubber cover which made me sweat at night--I eventually took it off.

Good staff and reception. The room was too small and the carpet was stained and did not feel clean. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel and rooms are generally speaking fine, although price/quality ratio is moderate. One main issue I faced during this stay (and repeated on other stays there) is that the Accor LeClub membership "advantages" are fully ignored. I show fidelity to Accor and am a silver (almost gold) member. At check-in a large was queuing the 2 open counters, so I placed myself at the Accor LeClud priority desk - actually for the first time in years as I never felt the need to take priority over a few people, but in the present case with a group of 50+ persons and 2 small kids with me I sought i should us the membership advantage. I was fully ignored for 15 min with 3 receptionists next to me doing the checking of the group ! After asking several times if I could get a priority checking, it was simply told to me that they have to many people waiting to actually check me in... interesting... is that not the whole point to have this priority check in feature - ie to get in front of a queue ?? At the 3rd or 4th request and seeing my kids getting over-excited, one of the receptionist finally called someone from the back office. On another occasion, when I wanted to be placed on a waiting list, the person at the reservation desk told me that silver members do not have priority (although clearly stated on the silver status advantages list). I asked several times if that's right... and he confirmed. I am really wondering if I should keep this link to Accor. It limits my choices and don't get what they promised.

Nothing particular of note to call out. The room was average/quite small but clean. If I recall there was a rip in the sheets but these things happen. The lady at check in was very nice and quite helpful. I did really like the work spaces in the reception area.

Welcome card in the room with the wrong name. Climatisation makes incredibly much noise, we turned it off but it was way too warm. We could not sleep with and without. I have been in many hotels, I have never slept that bad

Perfect hotel right outside zurich (5 min train) and close to the airport. Great staff. Upgraded to a corner suite which was very spacious and well decorated. Good breakfast. Would def return and recommend.

As stated in the title above, Performance/Cost was great. Staff at the lobby counter was good and friendly. Meanwhile, I would not stay there if the rate is not discounted significantly. Perfect location. Great facility. However, the room was a little bit smelling bad. While I requested for 1 x Queen size bed through Booking.com, the room was with 2 x regular beds. Breakfast was good, but cooking staff was not so friendly and hall staff was not really sophisticated. However, considerging Performance/Cost, I'm quite satisfied.

we stayed for 2 nights, reception seemed to be understaffed in busy times, check in, we waited in line for 10 minutes before service, check out there were 100 people in lobby but managed to be served by line jumping, got to room, the air-conditioning was very noisy and we could not adjust it at all, the bed was small for two people. staff in all areas were friendly and attentive. good location and east access as major train station next door

Well located and good facilities. In house restaurant was convenient and excellent quality. I had lost some equipment in the hotel and the staff were very supportive in finding this equipment and organising its return.

Visited Zurich with my husband and 3 kids. Our stay at Swissôtel was delightful especially with the Kids Room Package where Swissôtel arranged toys, books and beddings for kids. The food at hotel breakfast is delicious with many options for picky eaters. Swimming pool at the top floor was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the view after a long day of exploring the city. Location wise public transport can be easily accessed as the train station is just across the hotel and gives you a flavour of local life, with lots of restaurants options, quaint shops and Farmer's Market on Saturdays to discover. Hotel staff are friendly, rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Will definitely stay again when in Zurich.
