« Dusty Lift Lobby & Lifts. Noise Construction noises. »

Lift lobby was dusty and had to literally hold my breadth for not breathing in the construction dust. Construction noise can be heard and at times affecting sleep. One of the male room cleaners was rude - choose to only answer in Mandarin when spoken to in English. Breakfast was terrible; service was really bad. Standards have dropped since my last stay.

The hotel is beautifully appointed. We were on the 9th floor but had a lovely harbour view. The room was a great size. It was immaculately clean. We appreciated the quality of the shampoos and other personal hygiene products. The food was exceptional. We enjoyed breakfast and a dinner buffet at the Swiss Cafe. I was a bit disappointed that the Tea Cafe (not it's name) was seperate to the hotel and we were unable to add this to our bill. This could have been made more obvious. Otherwise it was truly fantastic. Roslyn (Concierge) gave us such useful advise as well.

Good quality of room renovations. Check-in cleaning appeared rushed, assume due to the power and capacity issues experienced prior. Room cleaning was consistent thereafter. Restaurant service could be improved by smoother welcome of queued customers.

« Self check in was confusing and a guy kept kicking the door next to ours at 2am which scared my kids. »

Whilst self check in seems to be the new way of the world, the personal touch was missing in some cases. Wanted to take my kids up to the bar on the 72nd floor to show them the view, checking on the menu (on the screen) in the room it said kids allowed before 10pm, when I called the bar itself they said kids were not allowed at any time, frustrated with two different pieces of information supplied.....

The Hotel is lovely and everything about it is well organised and very easy to deal with. The check in and check out process was very smooth and and the staff members were very helpful. The room was a pleasure to stay in and lovely and clean. I am an Accor member, but this holiday was booked by my Travel Agent, so I was a little disappointed not to get any of the normal benefits as I did not book on the Accor web site. The only other issue was the credit card I originally used for the pending $400 deposit we believed did not work and I had to give another card for the transaction, in actual fact both cards had a $400 pending deposit applied and I am hoping that they will both be reversed.

We had issues on check in due to the room we were allocated being dirty, unmade and with rubbish. This was rectified and complimentary breakfast provided. We were disappointed there was no lounge bar / relaxing bar with which to have a drink after 5pm with our children. Bar Rouge is not a child suitable venue in our opinion. Check out was swift and no further issues were had.

Excellent check in, although very early in morning, room good, everything functions. Closet could have a couple of shelves - high shelf is too high for me, a draw or a shelf for underwear, folded clothes would be helpful. Nespresso pods - 3 only - a bit ungenerous - I know one can call service and ask for more, but sometimes dont feel like bothering. Same applies to tea bags, one of each type not really satisfactory if 2 people. Not enough bags of sugar........ Feels ungenerous - a biscuit would be nice! Breakfast in room also a bit 'ungenerous' and although I asked if orange juice is freshly squeezed, and was told that it is, it isn't and at this standard, either it should be, or it should not be identified as freshly squeezed.

It was a very pleasant 3 nights stay at the hotel. All staff were polite and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and very newly renovated. Loved the lighting programs, especially the relax mood and night mode when we no longer have to leave the bathroom lights on. Great improvement and saves electricity too! Only unhappy with one incident when the lifts (all 6) stopped working when I needed to use it at around 2-3am. I understand that upgrades is underway and notices has been put up. But can't you just leave ONE lift functional? Had to wait over 20 minutes for reception to send security to bring me downstairs to meet my friend. Otherwise, extremely happy with our stay! My parents will be staying at the end of November, so will surely make sure they know all the good things about your hotel.

Overall experience was good. Room was clean, and staff were helpful during check-in. However, the self-checkin kiosk was not easy to use and require staff assistance. The room TV does not allow external HDMI connection and USB connection, limiting the options of entertainment as the in-built TV options have its limitations.
