« Empty mini bar »

I like Swissotel Stamford/Singapore a lot. But last time when the mini bar was empty I was told that my room type does not include a mini bar. I found this strange as I will have to pay the items in the mini bar anyway regardless of the room type. So I did not find this reason understandable. Nevertheless I will happily stay at Swissotel Stamford again.

« Modern perfection with a view »

We were given a newly renovated room and it was perfect, modern and full of tech! Huge TV lights that turned on by them selves at night to show the way, waterfall shower head, Nespresso machine, amazing view, huuuuge super king bed. Best Hotel we stayed in. Breakfast was epic, the friendly staff even organised a breakfast box to take on the last day when we had to leave early for the airport, when we return, we will stay here again

« Great Location, wonderful staff but rooms need refurbishing »

The staff is the star of the hotel. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful at every turn. The location is wonderful. The room I was in is a in sad need of refurbishment. The rug is worn badly, the plumbing doesn't drain and the lighting needs to be enhanced.

« Great place, great location, great staff nothing to much trouble. »

Very satisfied with the whole experience. Getting a taxi was quite a different experience for us, not being able to just flag one down. Having to book. But the concierge were fantastic as was every other staff member we dealt with, especially the "help" enquiry desk.

The aircon machine in the ceiling was leaking and water was dripping, carpet was all moist and the entire room was damp, this greatly reduced overall pleasure of staying in such a beautiful room with a panoramic view, facilities and service were nice though

I arrived very late and was told that my reservation was cancelled with no clear explanation. I was offered a room at a substantially higher price. After check-in, the stay was fine.

« Lovely room with an excellent view »

We only stayed in a day room at the end of a cruise but the hotel provided a great end to our holiday. A lovely room, a swim in the pool and somewhere to leave our bags close to the waterfront meant we enjoyed our time in Singapore.

« Honeymoon ruined thanks to Swissotel »

Came in after my wedding late at night. My wife and myself, full wedding attire. Terrible service provided by receptionist Cess, despite giving her details of our booking. We were already exhausted after a long day and my wife was made to stand beside me like a fool. Constantly demanding for my wife's passport. Do take note, that we had a traditional indian wedding, my wife is Japanese, and she is in a full saree with all the add on accessories. Where in hell's name will she keep her passport!? Duty manager Shiva came out when I expressed my dissatisfaction, promptly proceeded to settle things out. We went to our room. When we had thought that was all for thw night. Upon usage of the bath tub, we couldn't drain the water. The lever would not work. As we had enough for the day, we decided to try again the next morning. After our return from breakfast the next day, we noticed the room was made up and that tub had been drained. We don't know how they did it, but your staff did it, so that was a pleasant surprise. We were out the whole day, and came back pretty late. It was than that my wife noticed that the sheets, towels and bath robes were in fact not changed. They were merely put back in place. The toiletries had not been replenished. The bedsheet even had a remanant of the flower petals which your staff had used to decorate out bed with. With the recent scandals around the world about hotel staff using guest toothbrushes to clean or using rags to wipe drinking glasses, it was only natural for my wife to go into a state of shock and start questioning the hygiene of the entire room. For a hotel that I had previously stayed at, somewhere that I had great childhood memories, and as the place which I chose for my honeymoon with my wife, you guys ruined it. Shiva once again tried his best to rectify the situation, but damage had been done. We could never experience our honeymoon again, and everytime we visit Singapore, the mere sight of the hotel will only create bitter memories.

« Great room design and comfort with all necessary amentities. »

The top most I like is the room design that has a balcony that can open and mobile with free data that I can use to roam around without worry. Most important is the great location. The opportunity to improve: 1) The Breakfast restaurant is too small comparing to the number of rooms you have, the guests have to queue up for breakfast which is not a good experience. 2) The swimming pool open at 6:30am, I would suggest to open at 5am onward, considering morning work that need to leave the hotel around 7-8 so we have time to exercise and breakfast before commuting. 3) I came in early with TG flight around noon. The room is not available to check-in. Maybe if you could manage this check-in time and match with the availability would be best. Not sure if there's a room reserved for people that not yet arrived or not.

« Very comfortable and conveniently located. Staff were friendly and courteous. »

A two day rest, following an early flight from Perth gave us time for a quick look around before cruising to Hong Kong. Breakfast was well presented buffet style and offered lots of choice. The view from our room was spectacular but unfortunately the notice on the glass sliding door said we weren't allowed on the balcony which would have added to our experience and given the opportunity for better photos. We greatly appreciated the early check in and late check out. The concierge service in organising a taxi to the cruise terminal for us was also a bonus and appreciated
