« My home away from Home »

As always, returning to my home away from home, everything was to my expectations. The warm welcome while getting out of the Taxi, just arrived at Changi Airport. The smiling and friendly front desk staff handing me over the room key in a blink of the eye. All well prepared and organised, Any thing out of the ordinary, the staff takes care immediately. The moment I check out - I look forward to come back soon.

We were on a stopover from a two week visit to Europe and I was unwell when we arrived. The chance to upgrade was most appreciated and a later request for Medical assistance was handled promptly.

it was good. The room was comfortable but it was a bit warm. the bathroom was spacious. The Lift was terrible. I waited 15 mins for the lift to come up to the 66th floor to the bridal suite. the lift waiting area very warm. The access cards were periodically not working and the lift took so long to come up to the 61st level or down to the lobby area. And the waiting time in the lift lobby averaged 8 to 15 mins. This was inconvenient as we were trying to get ready for a wedding reception in the stamford ballroom.

We lined up for a long time for check-in. And the air-conditioners didn't work properly in both rooms (5562 and 6166) and the tab in room 6166 also got problem so that we needed to call for help.

Excellent service by all staff. Our special thanks to Mr. Normal Leong for making the arrangements for our stay - he responded to our query immediately and organised the room to meet our request. Thank you Mr. Leong. The breakfast was very good and there was so much choices and every staff worked hard and were very kind and attentive. Mr. Guna seated us in the best seats and was very attentive to us - he seemed to know many of the guests due to his attention to details. We really enjoyed the good spread of breakfast and the omelette station was very popular. The rooms were good proportion and the cleaning staff arranged the room everyday with chocolates on the pillow, which was a big hit with our children. The balcony overlooked the pool and the city sights. The location of the hotel was very convenient and was next to the metro station. On the whole, we had a lovely stay and enjoyed our holiday and savoured the fabled Swiss hospitality.

« The location of the hotel is fabulous. We had great views from our room and a hearty breakfast every morning. »

What we didn't like was we were not told that we didn't have to insert the key card in the elevator for levels below 53 or 57 or something like that. Waiting for the lifts was also an experience in itself. The lifts don't seem to be 'smart' and were always full during peak hours. Our air conditioning also broke down on our second night and we had to sleep with fans. Luckily housekeeping came with the fans very quickly after I called. We also didn't like that I had to pay for breakfast for my 9 year old. It would be great if the hotel could offer free breakfast for all children under 12 as they do not eat much and it would really help out the parents. There is also no complimentary parking for hotel guests which is quite unheard of in all the hotels I have stayed in in Singapore thus far.

Swissotel has been my favourite hotel in Singapore. I have stayed in the Presidential Suite, Classic Room and the latest Executive Room on the Executive Floor (check in date 4/8/2017; check out date 6/8/2017;room no 6059). I was very happy that the hotel allowed for early check in on 4/8/2017 and I have agreed to upgrade to Executive Room by pledging my credit card (CIMB Mastercard). I have booked and made full payment for Classic Room rate via booking.com. Our first night stay at the Executive Room was superb (we had cocktail, customer service very attentive to our needs, air-cond was functioning well). However, on our second day at noon, I had complained to the customer service at the Executive Lounge that our room was not cold and in fact the lounge and the common area were also very warm. They tried to fix the problem but they told us that it was due to the renovation work that had affected the temperature of the aircord at higher floor, obviously our floor on 60th Floor. I couldn't sleep well that night and we checked out early the next day. Before checking out Mariam, the Customer Service apologised for the inconvenience and since we have made full payment via booking.com for the classic room rates, there are only two pending bills which were our dinner at Asian Cafe and the room upgrade bill. We have requested for these two bills to be cancelled upon our check out and she assured that she will assist us and cancelled my credit card slip for the upgrading charges. The inner at Asian cafe was paid using my husband's credit card. Yesterday, when I checked my credit card statement, the amount of upgrade charges was charged to my credit card. I called the hotel receptionist last night and she said only our dinner bill was cancelled. I am very dissapointed and feel that we were not compensated as promised despite my bad night sleep experience. I seek clarification on this matter and hope that Swissotel would consider an appropriate compensation on the issue mentioned above. Tq.

« Staffs should have more initiative »

My family of 3 had checked in on 5 August at about 3 pm. We noticed that the air-con was not functioning well despite adjusting the fan speed to high, it was still warm. We ignored it for the afternoon as we have a wedding solemnisation to attend at 5:30 pm and my son of 21 months was taking his nap. Before i went off for my function, I called up the operator to ask a check on the aircon. Went back to the room at 11+pm and to my dismay, air con was still the same, it too warm to even sleep in. Called operator and ask for a change in room and I had to change to a new room at almost 12 am with a sleepy toddler in hand and the hassle of packing up the place at such hours. If your staffs have taken the initiative to advise and suggest a change of room after the first air-con check, it will greatly be appreciated. Although at the time of check, we are not in the room, I believe that your end would have my personal data to contact me. Personally, I did expect a better service before I checked in.

« A relaxing holiday. »

Although the hotel was under renovation we had a good time. The lift service was infrequent so being on the 57th floor there were some long waiting times. Renovations also meant a circuitous route to the pool via the Fairmont. The executive room was very good with excellent service, food and drink selections.

I was upset by the long wait for the lift and it's throughout my 2 nights there. To make matters worse, I had to wait 2 rounds before I could get in, by then it was a good of 10 minutes wasted.

It was a very pleasant stay except for the trouble of waiting too long for the elevator and an evening of downtime from the air- conditioner. These are factors that will affect my return to the hotel at my next visit. Overall, congratulations for having a wonderful team of staff, including the valet drivers. Thank you!

« Convenient and Comfortable Hotel »

All are very excellent, nice service, convenient transportation, just 3 minutes walk to the MRT station, clean and comfortable hotel room, nice city view from the hotel room, delicious breakfast buffet providing all kinds of food. Worth to earn full 10 stars, but the swimming pool and gym room are not available when we were staying because of the construction work, and it's not convenient to move to another hotel for those facilities.

We had a excellent experience from the time we arrived to leaving, staff were helpful, Room was one of the best I have stayed in our three and half month world trip, highly recommend spending the extra to stay here. In my opinion don't need to change anything to make perfect better. Thanks to all the staff that we encountered,fantastic.
