« BUT...Like all five star hotels no hand grips in the shower WHY? »

The staff are good and unobtrusive, however as mentioned above, you don't have to be elderly to slip in a shower yet it is the one safety factor missing in all hotels the world over and should be addressed by all hoteliers.

« The experience didn't match the cost »

I paid for a King Room, but was in a wheelchair accessible room, nearest the lift. There are some features I don't like about wheelchair accessible rooms. Such as the toilet lid and seat had to be lifted 180 degrees. The room was spacious and well appointed. The layout was great. The room access card did not work well in the main light switch (located next to the entry door). Sometimes, I did not have lighting. I don't think the room access card is designed to work in the main light switch. Wifi reception was strong and I was able to work without internet issues. Room service food was excellent. Room service waiter was excellent. However, I don't understand the need to charge $8 for in-house delivery. Unless you are trying to encourage restaurant dining? Breakfast service was not a good experience. The restaurant appeared understaffed. I had to wait at least 5 minutes to be seated at 6:15am - there only appeared to be 1 person on duty. After ordering, I waited 20 minutes for my order to be served. Concierge and Front Desk staff were excellent.

As someone who has stayed at this hotel regularly, each time I check in, it is always difficult. The staff never seem to have a record that I have stayed before, and I always have to repeat my phone number/email/address. Not a way to make guests feel valuable. Also, I keep being assigned a twin room, despite not requesting this and travelling alone.

The welcome at hotel was more about the upsell than welcoming me to hotel. Service at bar was extremely slow When we returned in the evening we tried to get room service but no one answered the phone on multiple occasions. The buffet the following morning was less than pleasing. There were a number of empty dishes and the coffee was appalling. I have stayed at a number of 5 Star venues and have been at your property before but will not be in a hurry to return.

The accommodation was up to its usual very high standard, the food in the restaurant was also very good but what has made our stays previously so memorable has been the great service and friendliness of the bar staff. However this time we were very disappointed. We organised to meet people at the bar for drinks on two of the nights we stayed because it had always been so good, they couldn't make a bellini because they had no peach liqueur, one person could only have one Appletons rum because they had run out, on another night we asked for an Irish Coffee and they couldn't do this because the hotel had run out of cream??? The hotel is in a wonderful location,the rooms are very good but after being out all day it has always been nice to come in and have a couple of drinks at the bar and then later come back and have a few drinks in the evening and unfortunately as it was not up to its previous standard it did put a bit of a damper on our holiday.

I have just returned from an amazing 3 day stay here. This is my go-to hotel whenever I am in Sydney - the location is amazing and the rooms are spacious, clean and inviting. I am always impressed with the service that I receive when I stay but this time, I have to say, I was blown away with how professional and friendly the service was from everyone that I came into contact with. Nothing was a problem at any time. I have to say a very big thank you to the Concierge Team, they were the best - so friendly and always organizing taking my parcels from me to bring back to my room. It was a very special stay!

« Efficient service and convenient location. »

The best part of the hotel is its ideal location, great for shopping and lots of eateries nearby. The room and the bathroom was good size. The bathroom shower was leaking which affected the force of the water but it was not a deal breaker for us. Our room was cleaned everyday which made our stay even more pleasant. The fact that the hotel has 3 lifts is great especially during peak hours.
