very single staff member fro the concierge, reception, restaurant, room service and all other staff I encountered were welcoming, friendly and made it easy for me to unwind after a long day of business meetings. We found the hotel easily and were pleasantly surprised by the courteousness and attentiveness of your door staff and check in counter. The building and rooms are well maintained and have a nice luxury feel, without the stuffiness. We loved having a bathtub in our bathroom - what a plus! (We were travelling with an infant, so a real bonus for bedtime). We found the bed comfortable, the climate control very effective, and the easy come-and-go location superb. The one thing that reduced my rating here was the breakfast. We had two mornings and two breakfast experiences at the hotel. The second morning was far superior to the first in terms of service, but in general these experiences were what let down the overall feel of the hotel. The actual food offered at breakfast was fine. Nothing 'wow' factor about it, especially given the cost of it, although the make-your-own-juice bar was a nice touch. The real issue though was that the service, especially on our first morning, was sub-par. It didn't appear particularly busy, but once we were seated we had trouble getting hold of a staff member. We had no spoons on our table, couldn't find one for about 5 minutes as all the refills were empty up at the food counter, and there were no staff to be seen. Seems small, but if you've ever had a hungry baby sitting in his highchair expecting to be fed, 5 minutes is a long time! Following this, after being at our table for at least 20 minutes, we had to approach staff ourselves to ask for a coffee. We then ended up needing to give our coffee order three separate times (it was a long black and a cappuccino - not complex) before they were remembered and understood, and when the coffee did finally arrive, it was set down unceremoniously on the table and then the staff member rushed away. There were two issues with this: first, at least spare five seconds to ask who's coffee is which, and put it in front of the appropriate person, and second, the staff member left both cups of steaming hot liquid right in front of our 13 month old, then walked away. Obviously I was sitting at the table supervising the baby anyway, but I had to dive across the table to move the coffee out of his reach - he was straight on to it. I know this is a little long-winded and perhaps sounds like whinging, but these little service-related experiences really impacted our overall view of our stay at the hotel. If we are paying $35 each for breakfast at your hotel instead of going out to one of the dozens of other options nearby, I expect a superior experience. I was travelling for business but needed to bring my little one with me, so was pressed for time on two fronts. One of the benefits of choosing a nicer hotel when I travel for work is that the little things are taken care of for me!

I told a waitress that it was my daughters birthday and they arrange a birthday surprise for her. All staff were friendly and helpful and very professional. Car was parked and ready on time, chocolates and wine deliver to the room. was made to feel special.

Good overall except check in was hopeless. Rooms not ready (Ok) so at 3pm there was a crush of people back to check in with only two people on desk. Took 20 minutes to get key despite having done all the paperwork earlier in the morning

Set is the heart of Sydney, above an iconic landmark of Myer made it easy to access all points of the city. Professional staff without the pompous some other upmarket hotels can give. Good facilities and very comfy beds + pillows [very important to me]. I'll be back!

Nice room. Very convenient location. Friendly staff. The tissue box was almost empty on arrival though (only two sheets!) . Not nice. And I didn't know what that red button outside the door was for. It was on the whole time I stayed. And my room was not cleaned. I only found out when I asked the reception on check out.

I wish I had stayed longer is my only complaint!
