At checkin I was told at front desk my card would be used to "guarantee" a payment of $1000. ("Accor (or Désaccord) policy". At checkout I advised that I wanted to settle part of the bill with $480 cash. The cashier took the dollars from me and after doing so told me I had then paid "too much" as the so called "guarantee" payment had "gone through". So why did he take the dollars? By then I had paid S1480. Thus my bill was wilfully jacked up to an amount far beyond what I owed, and I am now waiting for a credit. This is patently absurd. I do hope I get it. Do they think at 74yo I am going to run away without paying by sneaking out of the staff entrance or the entrée des artistes with 45kg of luggage? Is there not a better way? No thank you here! Maintenance in this hotel is non existent in my case. I write a lot (as you may have guessed!). On day 2 of my stay I completed an "urgent maintenance" card as the light over the writing desk was not working on arrival. I politely suggested another light might be found if repair was not possible. Maybe the bulbs are hard to find. I don't know. Nothing happened. On day 4 I reported the same issue personally to a charming lady receptionist. Same result. Zero. Wasn't working day 6 when I left either and no replacement or reply or message or apology. Tried buffet breakfast first day at the coffee shop. Never went back. You have to do everything yourself. All they do is pour average coffee or poor tea. When you have carried your breakfast all around the room and found how to work the toaster and nobody else has stolen your toast or you theirs, you reach your table if someone else has not taken it, and enjoy the cold tea or coffee poured ten minutes ago. Buen provecho guys! On the positive side my room and bathroom were kept superbly clean at all times, and laundry was beautifully done and presented. Extra pillows I requested with booking were provided too. Thank you housekeeping. The concierge desk was excellent making dinner reservations and arranging reasonably priced and smart hotel limos at very reasonable cost. They were also interesting to talk to and knowledgeable about Latin America in general (including tragically Venezuela). Thank you. The key redeeming feature here was the wonderful care and service offered by two shifts of superb staff on the Executive floor. They were friendly, efficient, and helpful at all times, serving excellent breakfast and light suppers and drinks with grace and humour and charm, even when the place was full. Full marks for them, 100%. Hooray! Well done! Thank you! Muchísimas gracias Señores.

I arrived at 2:30am on 8/13 and asked for late checkout on 8/20 and was there 5+ hours LESS than 8 days but you charged me 9 days. That is NOT acceptable. I called attention to the error on the bill and was ignored - not what I expected from a 4-5* hotel. Then the cab that arrived was NOT what I had requested causing another over payment. I was very unhappy about the price gouging that was totally unacceptable. When can I expect a refund for the excessive charges?

With regards to your concerns about the overcharge, I would like to explain you that the normal check in time is after 15h00pm and as your check in was at 02h00am, there is the charge for the night, as the room was held free for you. Due to the late check out at 21h00pm, there is the charge for the last night, charging 9 nights in total, like the booking was arranged. The executive taxi from the hotel to the airport, arranged for you with the concierge, has the cost of USD35.00. The cost of the yellow taxis from the streets, have the cost of USD25.00. May I kindly ask you to confirm which kind of vehicle you have used and the amount paid? Hotel staff is always helpful and available, my only complaint is the inability to get accurate international news. CNN, a discredited source was only available news on the network the hotel uses. Fox had several channels, but sports and movies, not good news. I found several Spanish channels that appeared credible, that filled the gap for my stay, but access tp AOL or Fox Business would be good. The hotel breakfast is always outstanding, and the hotel is always a pleasure, in spite of the construction

Everything was nice. The breakfast buffet was quite good. We had a disappointing experience with stolen cash from a wallet, but the wallet was recovered, and security was very attention pursuing the situation.

Rooms were clean and well-appointed. Staff members were polite and professional. It would have been nice to be able to order something "a la carte" for breakfast if we did not want the full buffet. Also there was water available in the lobby and then it disappeared. It was nice to have water to fill up our bottles.

Always wonderful staying at the hotel. However, had a strange experience regarding the WiFi password. We were fortunate to get an early check in, but before that we were given our password which was the room number and my last name. Had no problem with my iPad and cell. The next day I had to use my laptop and couldn’t get onto the site. I called the front desk and I was told it was a different password, JULIE, which is the first name of my friend staying with me. I asked why it was changed. He said, oh this is easier to remember. Are you kidding me, why would I remember my friend’s first name before my own last name., and the room was registered in my name. Net, net. I input the new password and it worked, but why would they change the password and not tell us?

The toilet malfunctioned multiple times during my stay. Also, the kitchen staff were randomly telling me that I could not have dishes which I had the previous evening.

I am not the most frequent visitor, however in every single one of my trips, I have stayed in your hotel. I had the early BOG-UIO flight and I had little to no sleep the night before. I requested to get a room early to see if I could recover some hours of sleep and the answer was not wat I was expecting. I do understand the policy and how hotels work. I guess I was just expecting a bit of comprehension. Long story short, this will be my very last stay in Swissotel. Thanks for the previous service.

The room was clean, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the hotel staff was very accommodating and professional. The consierge service was excellent and assisted us with some sightseeing arrangements and dining recommendations. The business center also helped us complete an early check in for our flight and printed out our boarding passes. We always enjoy our stay at your hotel.

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left we were treated with the utmost in luxury. The hot towels and juice at check in were most welcome after a long day of traveling and things were even better after that. Your concierge, housekeeping, and your true gentlemen in the lobby were all first class. Service in your restaurants and bars were also exceptional. All in all, I would recommend your hotel to anyone. Thank you
