« Overall fine service but outdated facilities »

We have stayed in Nankai Swissotel for 3 nights. 1 night at 24 Nov and 2 night at 28-29 Nov. The room of 24 Nov seems had go through remodeling, all room facilities had been updated. However the room of 28-29 Nov is very outdated, although the room is very large and comfortable. The reason we said the room is outdated is that we can find only 1 electric socket available on the desk. As you know, there are many electronic appliance(i.e mobile phone, tablet, camera and notebook computer etc.) one will bring along either vacation trip or business trip. So, more electric socket available in the room would be much better.

« We like the hotel and the location very much so we came during Christmas period in the last 3 year. »

During the period of between Nov. 26 - Dec. 4, 2018, we came to Osaka and stayed Swissotel for the first 2 nights, went to Kyoto and stayed at Horel Granvia for 2 nights, came back to the Swissotel again for the last 3 nights. We found that the room for the first 2 nights was under our expecting since the room was smaller and the renovation was old. But when we came back on Dec. 1 for the second part of stay, that room was much better. It was the normal Swissotel standard. We know the hotel very well since we came to Swissotel Osaka in the pass 3 year during Christmas time. My suggestion to you is to renovate the rooms in lower floor so to maintain the 5 stars hotel standard. My wife used and compare the quality of the bath gel, shampoo and conditioner of Swissotel and Hotel Granvia Kyoto, she found that her body and hair was smoother. She would grade Hotel Granvia bath gel, shampoo and conditioner an “A” whiles could only grade you only a “C” for your hotel. Hope that Swissotel could improve the above and we could have a more comfortable stay next time when we come again in the Christmas of 2019.

- It's an unkind & impolite staff when we were checking in at counter. - It's ridiculous that staff gave us a call at mid night 12am and asked for deposit guarantee (your staff forgot to make it when we check in) - There's no any sign/instruction that I need to queue up for check out and your staff asked me to queue up impolitely (but there's no any guest at counter).

In could given you an excellent review, but i was dissatified with the room accommodations. You see we booked for triple sharing, thinking that it will be a bigger room with 3 beds, instead we had a room that was just enough for two beds with thee sofa bed spread out which made the room so cramped , one would hardly mkove around. I would have appreciated it if I was informed before hand because our payment was for three persons for a room that was only for two. We could have booked two rooms instead

People at check-in, check-out and luggage desks are very nice and they speak English well. There are many people stay in this hotel the lift always available in short time. The room is spacious and very clean (including the washroom). However the light at the desk is not enough especially when using notebook (computer). If there's a lamp at the desk table will be good.

Overall Service was excellent and efficient. Special thank you to Front line manager, off, he was on counter and attending to guests in waiting area. He was able to give us early check in seeing us with 2 children and luggages. Also special thank you to Kingsady of Concierge. We have less than 15 min to catch the train to the airport, he proactively helped us with getting train tickets and helped us with luggages and loaded them onto the train. These people have made our trip an easy, definitely they are in the right track being in customer service industry.

« Probably the best hotel in Namba/Osaka »

Great service by the hotel staff, best location for shopping in Namba, Osaka located right at the Namba Nankai train station. Wonderful view of Shinsaibashi as well as the Xmas illumination at Namba Park. The gym was very well maintained.

« A Short but very nice Stay »

The hotel concierge staff friendly supported us went down to 3F together to purchase the Nanhai train tickets from Nanba to Kansei airport, who is a gentleman from Columbia working as Trainee in the hotel. This was really helpful to me as first time visitor to Osaka and will take early morning train for airport. Thank you very much!
