« Not close to any 5 star rated hotel experience »

Well we had booked 3 rooms 315,715,714 under the name of Shehzeed A., Sadiqua A. and Saif Hazarika for primarily 2 nights and let me start from the beginning. 1. We had called the hotel multiple time for various reasons. Every time the experience of waiting too long for someone to respond the call was unlike any 5star experience. Additionally, not an exaggeration but everytime I called to the hotel, either to reserve the hotel pick up or requesting to give us the same floor rooms, the reception would ask the booing reference and then immediately ask me to hold as they want to transfer the call and then I have to repeat the exact same information again. 2. Soon after we checked into our room in the evening, my dad killed 4 mosquitoes and lined them up in the bathroom sink. I have a picture of it as well. When I requested to be taken care of, something seems to have been done because my father was able to kill only 2 more mosquitoes. On further complaint, he was handed over a mosquito zapper bat to take care of the mosquitoes himself. 3. We had loads of luggage and there as no bell boy assisting us with the luggage. It came 20 mins after we reached the room. 4. As soon as we got the card, we head to the rooms and the card didnt work. Since no once was with us, we again had to head back to the reception to fix the card. This is the only hotel I was given instructions that the card should not be kept next to electronic devices because the card gets deactivated. I mean seriously! I wont mind if I was handed over a physical key to unlock a brass lock on my room door. 5. We had the jacuzzi turned on the next morning around 10am and the water didnt even get close to lukewarm even after 5 hrs at 3pm. The weather in Kolkata was probably 25 degrees which was warmer than the water. 6. The only good part was that one of your hotel staff handed me his personal usb charging block to charge my phone because I had misplaced by own iphone charging block. Frankly I asked a bell boy if the hotel was 5 star and he said that it was actually 4 star. I asked the same question to the reception and the receptionist said that its definitely 5 star. I compliment the bell boys honesty.

I regret that your experience of the overall stay with us was less than satisfactory. We are looking into the highlights of your response. You were not very happy with the check-in, check-out experience and the quality of accommodation. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you due to mosquitoes present in your room. We have taken up the issue as a crucial concern. Various steps are initiated with immediate effect. Fumigation are being done on a regular basis .We are sealing all the corridor entrances, as far as practically possible, to avoid influx of mosquitoes. Mosquito repellants are being plugged on in every room. Incense sticks and diffusers are being placed at various points in the hotel. We are doing our best to keep our guests comfortable. The door key issue was really uncalled for. We shall surely come up with a positive solution. However, just to keep you posted, we have a land phone kept on every floor next to the lift landing from where you can reach Swiss Service by dialing ‘0’. The issues pertaining to the Jacuzzi not getting warm has been taken up into our maintenance follow up and we assure you of our sincerest attention to every small detail. We also regret the issue regarding the luggage assistance and the unattended phone calls. We shall do our investigations, emphasis more on soft skill trainings and motivation exercises to come up with a positive solution. We appreciate you sharing your concerns with us and my Front Office Manager shall be in touch with you to know more details of your feedback. This would help us in a stride to step-up on our quality control and ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented. I reached the hotel at late hours (10.30 pm). Immediately ordered my food. It was Khichadi, Aloo Jeera, & Paratha. All the stuff was ok except Khichadi. To my utter surprise it was stale & sour. Called the room service. Also the duty manager. Both of them readily came, accepted the fault & apologized. But this is not an issue to be sorted out by apologies. This either shows total negligence towards quality, guest service & also towards the health of the guests.

This was my repeat visit so obviously am happy with what i get and see here. A small lobby when you enter but good sized rooms. Room was neat and clean with all standard facilities that you get in such class of hotels. The restaurant had good spread for breakfast but Rava dosa was a disappointment. The best part was the bar. It is pleasant to sit out on the terrace enjoying the evening cold climate. The big plus for a city like Kolkata where the traffic will madden you, is that it is close to the airport. Will come back for sure but would love to some change the next time around.

Everything was fine. Today I realize that ₹3000 which was blocked on my card is not yet reverted back. It is charged to my card. Besides, the amount utilized by me was less. I expected professional and proactive behavior from Hotel folks to close this. Customer raising this is not correct.
