Swissotel has over the last 3-4 years lost some of its exclusive feel. Food (especially breakfast) has become quite mediocre and overall feel is not what it used to be.

Overall a nice stay. But given the price paid vs other 5-star hotels in China and the fact that the entire hotel had a strong smoke odor, including my non-smoking room, I would probably not stay here again.

I have been staying at the Swissotel Foshan for the last 5 years! The people there are wonderful and I always feel welcome. The rooms are what is expected of a 5 start hotel and the food is good. The regular staff Jack, Leona, Rose, Jeffrey and Eva are the best! They are now friends and I always enjoy catching up with them.

There was an issue with the A/C in the room 4009 (not working properly) so we had to move to another room 4011. In this room the Nespresso coffee machine was leaking and it was replaced with another one. We thought we could used the DVD player but the open/close button didn’t work as it has to be. The technician came and has shown us (me and my husband Mr. Pan) a trick so we knew how to operate it. The room clean, superb view and comfortable. Breakfast in 50th floor, area too narrow, a bit hassle to keep asking for food, like the steam dumplings, Siu Mai, fried noodles/vermicelli. Apart from that was alright. Apple was very friendly and tried to assist me. Thank you Apple.

I have always enjoyed staying at the hotel over the past 6 years but many things have aged and are in need of repair. Prices in the restaurants are high and make it necessary to have dinner in other locations. The staff have always tried very hard to please and have no complaints.

« Superb View and Lounge with great choice of gourmet »

My second stay with Swissotel Foshan, staffs are nice and polite as usual. The concierge is very considerate and willing to help. Since the lounge is unavailable, lounge afternoon tea (happy hour) was hosted at Café with really delicious and great selection of food, not to mentioned that it is a great place for the fantastic view of Foshan at the magic moment.
