Typically when I stay, I get personal treatment that continues to bring me back to the Swissotel. The concierge is always nice and at times will give me an upgrade to a room with a fantastic view. I stay frequently since I am travelling to Chicago once a month. The only downside is that reward program is non existent. I would like to see a program where I can earn a free hotel stay after a set period of time or points earned.

We were overcharged for candy and beverages The bar closed at 9:45 even though many patrons were still there because the bartender wanted to leave The lobby was freezing The restaurant was under construction and closed

2nd time staying here. Our room was fine but the prices for food etc were a bit overinflated when you are already paying over $200 to stay and park your car. It’s a lovely place with a beautiful view and when I save up again, I’ll bring my husband back when we can enjoy the weather.

« Ok not worth the money »

The lobby was cold n I was charged for parking n when I made my reservations it was included. Mind you I made my reservations in September with my other two cousins telling them we want connecting rooms or at least next to each other but nope my two cousins had 17… n I had 2403 like wtf I gave 4months notice n still wasn’t satisfied. Plus it’s going on over a week n I’m still being charged for parking n supposedly there going to refund me my money but I’ve been getting the run around. So not a satisfied customer here ‍♀️

Great experience across the board!!! The staff was there for my every need!!! They were very knowledgeable with any question I asked!!! The room service team were prompt with meals and the food presentations were on point!!! The food was delicious, too!!! The Concierge was so pleasant, friendly and happy to be of service!!! I felt like a queen at your hotel!!! Staff members greeted me by name--so sweet!!! I will highly recommend your hotel to my friends, family, and associates!!! I will also return to your hotel because of the high quality of service that was received over my two day stay!!! Thanks to all team members!!! PS: the 42nd floor is the best place in Chicago to see the fireworks on New Year's Early Morning--away for the outside elements!!! Thanks for everything!!!

I was very disappointed by the uncleanliness of my room. The linen was soiled on one of the beds and the toilet was dirty. I should've not had to call customer service for something that should have been taken care of prior to my checking in. This had a very negative impact on my stay and I'm not sure if I will stay again.

This is our favorite spot to stay in Chicago. The only downside this year was the service in the Palm restaurant was not the norm. Our concierge Bernard Bilal as always makes our stay very pleasant and memorable he is one of the reasons we return to the Swissotel.

« Expensively cold bathroom experiences..... »

From the heat not working in the bathroom making for a cold bathroom/shower experience to the 5:00am unrequested wake up call..it was not our best experience at Swissotel for those prices. The staff was courteous and apologetic but non the less ineffectual.

Very nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the pillows. The bathroom was great, having a walk-in shower and a tub was wonderful. The only thing I wish the room had is a microwave.

« Very nice facility in the heart of downtown. »

The stay was great with no surprises. Great view, very comfortable bed. The shower door was not really water tight, but what little water escaped was picked up by the floor mat. My only complaint was the room was not ready at check in. After waiting an hour and a half, we got back in line and were assigned the same room on a different floor. It was New Year's Eve, so maybe we need to learn how to check in with our phone.

Where given the wrong room which never would been fixed if I didn’t say anything instead of getting strawberries with my champagne and I got a cupcake not what I paid for then I get double charged for the spa and charged for breakfast when I had the package deal overall was not satisfied with my stay

I had to fight for the room category I had reserved. Your guys tried to give me a way lower category room when we specifically reserved a higher floor lake view room. Then, we had to wait for 3 hours for the room “to be ready” - starting from 3:30pm. I was able to get one of the agents to tell what our room number was going to be - so, I went up to the room to see if housekeeping was working on it...multiple times. Every time, not housekeeping on the entire floor with her exception of my 5th time up when I saw a housekeeper walking down the hall (no cleaning cart, just walking). I stopped her and asked if she knew when our room would be ready and let her know how long we’ve been waiting. Her reply shocked me. She told me that the room had been ready all day! I went back to the lobby to let the front desk know and get our keys. As I was walking to the front desk I got a “your room is ready” text. Hmmmm - thanks housekeeping. We feel lied to, deceived, mistreated, and down right not valued as customers. Horrible experience. By the way, customers talk to each other and we are NOT the only family who were treated this way. It is very clear that those of us who booked early and had nice rates were being shoved out of the way so that Swissotel could sell out rooms at higher rates to other customer who didn’t book early. Double booking, last minute capitalization on making extra money - sooooo shady. I travel a lot ... I mean a lot! I am a Marriott faithful because they know how to treat their customers - with respect and courtesy. They make you feel valued, important, appreciated, welcome, and they don’t try and screw you. In fact, if they mess up (which is very rare) they more than make it up with upgrades etc. That’s with all levels of Marriott properties. You could learn a lesson or two from them.

My stay was perfect! I enjoyed the amenities and we loved the service of the hotel! They also found my debit card and held it for me for 2 days without anyone using my card! Excellent service. Very happy
