Wonderful view from the room. Shower could be improved as was difficult to get right temperature (kept fluctuating) and not much room when standing in the bath. Otherwise all great.

Simply wonderful. The main difference between the Montreux Palace and other grand hotels, is its truly exceptional personnel. Every interaction we had with staff members was marked with great professionalism yet infused with a welcoming smile. The staff is the reason we love to return to this hotel. Front desk (Emily?), breakfast personnel (Alberto Moreira, Benoit Cuinot) and housekeeping stood out particularly during this short but very enjoyable stay.

Overall quite good. However, we found that the staff in the downstairs bar were quite uninterested in approaching us when they saw us standing waiting for a table in the evenings.We ate there one evening & after two unsuccessful attempts to get a member of staff's attention on two other evenings we ate in other restaurants in Montreux as being vegan the menu in the restaurant upstairs did not suit me.

« A bit messy stay »

First, the twin was a double, so we got another room - this time at the at the back. Then, the other room was given to someone else, when we we were already in the other room. Then our keycards didn't work anymore, so we had to get other.

« Everything was perfect, from the greeting at check in to the service, to the room. »

Our travel agent had told the hotel that we were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary and the hotel went all-out, with a cake and fruit and a beautiful upgrade. The only possible fly in the ointment was a roomful of noisy neighbors with children who were permitted to stay up until all hours and run wild. But that is hardly the fault of the hotel.

Hotel is magnificent. Room was not particularly special. AC was poor. We had problems with the shower that were not addressed. Had to call housekeepinga number of times for missing items. Jazz cafe food and service were awful.
