Everthing at this hotel is exceptional! The check in staff, concierge ( Jose), maids, restaurant servers, basically everyone we encountered treated us as valued customers. The large concer room with balconies was exquisite! Loved our stay nd will return.

This could be a great hotel. It isn't. With certain exceptions, it is unfriendly, not well managed, perhaps even uncaring, and overpriced. The balconies are rusting, which may be an apt metaphor. We are frequent travelers, and have stayed multiple times at Fairmont hotels in California and in Canada. The only reason we stayed at this hotel was that it was a Fairmont property. We have certain expectations for attentiveness, helpfulness and friendliness by the hotel staff. The hostess Angelina in La Palmeraie restaurant and the concierge Jozef were wonderful and met these expectations. A few of the managers were helpful. But otherwise, no, not at this hotel. In fact, at least one of the front desk staff seemed openly hostile and argumentative. And yes we had to wonder whether it was a case of the notorious Gallic hostility toward Americans, which we had never personally experienced before. It left a bad taste. We are president club members. There is no recognition or special treatment for club members. When we were checking in, the concierge offered to and did arrange for a taxi to pick us up at the train station 300 meters away, as we had a lot of baggage. We were shocked that the charge was 35 franks (US$40) for this short trip. (In Vienna, where we stayed before traveling to Montreux, it would have cost only 5 Euros.) This wasn't explained in advance, and we felt that we had been taken advantage of. The checkout process was a mess. The night before we checked out, we spoke to a manager to make sure we could use our Fairmont dollars. He said he would send us a link to let us use our dollars. He failed to do so. Ultimately when we checked out the next morning, we couldn't use our Fairmont dollars, because the link hadn't been sent timely, and the hotel also refused to honor our Fairmont gift cards. We had to catch a train, so couldn't wait around any longer to try to fix this. We will not be back.

We came to Montreux because my wife and I are Fairmont loyalists. The President's Club loyalty program is outstanding. We wanted to take advantage of visiting other Fairmont properties this year prior to the conversion to the Accor loyalty program as we see the new program will not be as rewarding.

I had my wedding at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace on August 25, 2018, and stayed for 5 nights before and after the event. The staff who took care of the wedding, including Nadine Cattan and Andre, were extremely friendly, accommodating and made sure the day ran flawlessly. Having planned the wedding from abroad, I cannot express how thankful I am to all the staff for making my wedding day the absolute best, and taking care of my guests so well. My husband and I stayed in the Claude Nobs Suite, which we were upgraded into, for the duration of our stay. The room was clean and extremely spacious, and the view was unbelievable. We could not have been more satisfied with our selection of this hotel for our special day.

I loved the initial impression of the hotel. Unfortunately communication was not always good. Asked reception for a Kettle, finally got it on third time of asking. It has been a while since I have experienced Swiss hospitality and service. This trip fell slightly short of my expectations.

Enjoyed my stay, all the people were friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice with a great view. Few issues we encountered include 1 out of 10 days the room was not made up when we returned at 4pm, the air conditioning in the suite was not cold enough or maybe the room was too big, and the walls seem to be too thin as sometimes we can hear regular conversations taking place in the adjacent room.

Excellent rooms great house keeping and restaurant staff but the concierge was nothing short of horrible, unfortunately I don’t remember the guys name but I am pretty sure he doesn’t deserve the golden keys, guys with the golden keys take a lot of pride in conducting their duties but this man fails miserably, over all a great hotel but the experience with the concierge disappointed me to a great extent and there is no substitute to rude behaviour in the hospitality industry, I hope the GM reads this message however in any case I’m sure no action will be taken

the suite was spacious and comfortable, bu the air conditioning was not working well. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful with a great attitude. The concierge was not helpful as expected, The jazz bar had superb food with excellent service.
