My stay was three nights and the purpose was for both business and pleasure. I did enjoy the stay. The reception staff were friendly, kind, and helpful, however; they could have been done a bit more I believe. In the past, the reception staff made me feel at home - not this new (young) generation. They could use a senior member experience. At the restaurant (not sure about the name - down by the reception - I think Jazz), we sat to order, we were given menus, we asked for dessert menu and were given the same. Our order was taken, but then we were asked to move to a different area (or the bar) as this place was only designated for dinner. The time was passed 9:30 - 10:00 pm. I don't think there were new clients to come at that hour. Moreover there were a couple of empty tables. And it was not kind/professional to ask us to move after taking the order. Why were we given the dessert menu in the first place - if the table was not for that purpose?

We stayed in Montreux Palace before and it is always a big pleasure staying in this beautiful hotel at christmas time! Enjoying the views, the christmas market just opposite and use it as a base to go to the mountains from there. Breakfast room with its views and friendly staff, the nice spa area and pool. We loved the atmospheric Montreux Jazz Cafe Christmas Eve dinner and the quality of food and service! The sweet surprises in the room and the great entertainment and brunch/dinner options during the festive season!

We stayed at the Montreux Palace for 3 nights on our honeymoon around Switzerland and Italy and both agree that the Montreux Palace was our favorite hotel we stayed at. We absolutely loved waking up every morning to room service breakfast on our veranda overlooking the lake and distant alps. All staff were extremely professional and friendly, and they were willing to help us in any way we needed (including finding and buying me a lint roller for my coat on Christmas Day, when most shops were closed).

We arrived with some slight reservations of a large corporate style hotel and immediately found these reservations to be blown away. Yes it is a large hotel but very well separated so does not feel so large on the inside. In fact the the only real criticism of the hotel is a lack of a comfortable lounge area in which to sit and read or chat. The large area between MP's and the breakfast room is imposing but a bit impersonal. The bedrooms were magnificent with fantastic views of the lake and very very comfortable beds. The electric shutters lowered during the turn down service did mean that we overslept due to the darkness and quiet, but we were on holiday so should not really complain about sleeping too much. The entertainment facilities were excellent with enough tv channels for everyone and the very useful feature of being able to search by language.The only criticism of the rooms was that the daily cleaning was not done until quite late in the day on some says. We ate in the hotel every night and again found the food much much better than we had expected. The choice between the 3 restaurants was excellent. Although only 4 of us we were not an easy group with 1 non meat eater and 1 non fish eater but each restaurant dealt with this excellently. We had 2 gala diners in MP's and whilst, I have to say a bit pricy, the quality of the food could not be faulted. The normal menu in both MP's and Jazz Cafe were varied enough to keep us happy. The only fault was the lack of a Pressecco option in MP's. I have not mentioned the service yet and will deal with this at the end. The swimming pool and spa area was also lovely. The pool was always clean and the perfect temperature. The only problem was a lack of seats and it would be good if this could be increased. The real beauty of this hotel are the staff and the atmosphere they create. Staying for 8 nights over Christmas and New Year allowed us to see a lot of people come and go and gave us plenty of time to drive the staff mad but they were just fantastic. From the incredibly helpful concierge, through the very friendly room staff to the absolutely outstanding restaurant staff. We have stayed in many hotels around the world and I have to sat the atmosphere created but the staff is better than anywhere we have stayed. A very special thank you goes to Julia in MP's who was so patient in arranging gala menu's and then so lovely to meet and to Camile in MP's and Fillapa in Jazz Cafe (sorry if names are spelt incorrectly) and to the fantastic house band (duo) who entertained every night in Funky's and also created a great New Years Eve in MP's. A very big thank you to all the staff of Le Montreux Palace. From very experienced travellers, you should all be very proud in making this one of the best hotels we have stayed in (the views aren't bad either).

My family and i have been staying at Fairmont Le Montreux palace for the past 4 years and will come again every time we visit Switzerland. We loved our room and the excellent service and attention to detail throughout our 5-night stay. Our room (612) had a beautiful view and a luxurious feel. Everything in the room was in perfect condition with the exception of a spot on the ceiling near the bed, which may need to be re-painted. We were delighted by the delicious Christmas sweets and fruits that appeared in our room every day, and we appreciated that the bottled water was consistently refreshed. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Every time I interacted with a hotel employee, I was greeted with a warm smile and gracious manners. Five employees provided exceptional service: Nelson and James (evening front desk), Sarah (MP's Grill), and Seraina and Alexandra (brunch reservations). Nelson, James and Sarah went out of their way to help me set up my son's Christmas gift under the tree in the lobby. Nelson watched it overnight until my son woke up and found what "Santa" had left him. Seraina and Alexandra found our Christmas brunch reservations when I thought they had been lost. We appreciated the extra pool hours given to kids during the holidays. The pool area was pleasant and clean and I liked that the temperature of the hot tub was not too hot - just perfect. The only small complaint is that the large jacuzzi tub in the women's locker room looks worn and a bit dirty, and one of the small tubs was out of order. I had two treatments in the spa. The ladies who performed these were extremely professional and gracious, and the products used on me were very good quality. We were extremely impressed by quality of the cuisine, the service, the atmosphere and the music at the Christmas brunch. The price was just right for adults, but I do feel that perhaps you could lower the cost for children under 12. My son (age 7) ate cereal, a piece of meat and a bit from the chocolate fountain, so we did feel that 70 CHF was a high price for this age. Nevertheless, we greatly enjoyed ourselves. I appreciated all of the attention to detail: the shellfish room was chilled, the variety of garnishes at the food stations and how quickly food was replenished. We take a trip every year at Christmas and always stay in a different location but we were so impressed with the Fairmont that we are seriously considering returning to your hotel next Christmas. Thank you so much for a memorable, wonderful Christmas vacation.

On a short notice, I booked directly with the hotel and arrived to find them waiting for me and took me to my rooms. Quick and efficient check in. The rooms were great with views on the lake. The next day breakfast was served in a very beautiful glass room with an extensive buffet. Overall, I had an amazing stay.

We enjoyed a stay over the Christmas holiday that was fantastic. The rooms were gorgeous with views overlooking Lake Geneva that were wonderful. I would like to mention 2 staff members in the breakfast restaurant every morning who were extra special and I regret not knowing their names to mention how well we were looked after by them. The lady who was host and managed the restaurant in the morning went above and beyond to make everyone happy. We observed her going out of her way on many occasions for guests and she was exceptional. There was a kind lady with red hair from Portugal who was our server a few times who also was special and extremely thoughtful. We adored our morning breakfast daily. The treats left nightly in our suite were appreciated. The location near the Christmas market and train station was ideal. We look forward to returning soon.
