« Bad experience In Swissotel Beijing »

1. Furniture Old 2. Mattress soft and without Supportive ( My hb have back bone issue become his cannot sleep well at night , although front desk change room for us , the issue still same. ) 3. In Bath Room towel brackets already started get rusty. 4. Carpet Smelly 5. Front Desk Provide Bad services. I have curious , It's 5 star hotel ? i never have the issues before and spoil my wedding anniversary trip.

« Really Great People, Great Location and soon to be refurbished building »

I stay in this hotel a lot and the people who work there are second to none. So helpful and friendly, it feels as close to being at home as you could hope for (especially when you are actually 8,000 km from home!). The location is fantastic for transport, as you fall out of the front door and into the Metro - so great for business or tourism. The fabric is a bit run down, but doesn't really detract from the experience and in any case, this will all be sorted with a refurbishment that is planned for the New Year. Overall can only be rated as great!

« Well kept room, doting staff and good overall experience »

Overall pretty good -- everything was clean and replenished when needed. They even delivered a surprise birthday cake to our room for my wife's birthday! A nice touch. The staff was friendly. I would come again. Only one complaint -- a staffer came to my room in the afternoon, to deliver a letter telling us that the power would be out for ten minutes in the middle of the night. But she didn't knock, and just walked right in! And I had just gotten out of the shower, too. Very awkward, and disturbing.

Overall is nice, but I wasn't happy to be asked to pay upfront 8000 RMB deposit by cash or credit card, never experienced such requirement in any other hotels in China and abroad.

« Great location »

The room was a bit dated, but was clean. The biggest plus going for the hotel was its location -- directly beside a major metro line, with convenient access to the entire city. I thought the hotel staff could have been a bit more fluent in English, especially for a major international hotel chain.

Very disappointed. I booked two rooms at the same price, my colleague who is a caucasian, was placed on executive floor while I was placed on 9th floor. I had a 5-year old kid with me but stayed in a two-single bedroom. That was very disgusting.

« Many great amenities at a reasonable rate »

We really enjoyed staying at the Swissotel. The location was perfect for our touring needs and the amenities at the hotel made it our home away from home for the week. Our only hiccups were with English speakers, which is completely understandable. I had a couple of difficult interactions with staff who did not understand me. The decor and rooms did seem a bit old as well. We would stay here again.

The internet speed was really slow and it's been an issue for many many years. Air conditioning system was noise and too cold (temp control doesn't work) and shower head was loose.

« My stay at the hotel was fine but your hotel charged the actual rate and the deposit amounts to my credit card account. »

My stay at the hotel was nice but when I returned to my home I realized your hotel overcharged to my credit card account. The deposit amount that was supposed to just block it was actually charged to my account and the room rate also charged to my account. I called your hotel to request make a correction but your staff was not able to resolve the problem.
