« Clean room, good facilities that I used. »

I was staying to attend a conference at a nearby hotel. As a result I only used the Swissotel for sleeping so am unable to comment on any other facility. Staff I met were all very friendly and professional.

Excellent. Stayed for my 40th birthday. Bottle of bubbly, card, balloons from the manager and 2 staff. Excellent room with view and the guy on reception couldn’t donenough to help. Will definitely stay with you again.

This was our second stay, and we really love the hotel. The location is perfect, the staff is wonderful. Unfortunately during this stay, we had problems with our shower, and after complaining twice and having maintenance come, the shower still spontaneously changed from freezing to scalding hot. It wasn’t very pleasant, especially because of the cold in Amsterdam, and wanting a steady shower. The staff did offer us breakfast boxes when we checked out to make up for it, but it was disappointing.

We enjoyed our stay at your hotel (upgraded room was nice and clean, breakfast food and service were excellent) except when we checked-in. We were given a room that was not accessible specially if you have several luggages ( we had 3 big luggages and 2 carry ons with us) and reception did not even bothered telling us that it was a long walk from the elevator and that you have to take the stairs to go up and then down to the room. On top of that, she did not even offered to take our luggages to the room. I have to complain and asked her to just upgrade our room since taking our luggages to the room she gave us was such a horrible experience specially after you had a very long day when you checked in. And i also requested that points to the Acvor hotel be transferred under my name since I am a member but she was insisting that since the booking was under my husband’s name, she cannot credit the points under my name. I told her to just change the booking to my name and she immediately told me she cannot access the computer to alter changes (but my sister who was checking in at the same time right next to me was asked by the guy receptionist if she wants the other room to be transferred under her name - she booked 2 rooms by the way, so she can have the points credited to her). I just did not push it anymore since I didn’t have the energy to argue with her that night when we checked in . We complained to the Manager the following day about the incident and was very apologetic about it. He was very helpful and was able to change the booking under my name without any question.

Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights in Swissotel Amsterdam. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist. He was very helping in allowing us to check in early. Not only that, he even upgraded our room! The room was splendid and we even received a basket of fruits in our room as a welcome gift. The room had a nespresso machine which my wife loved. The location of the hotel is central next to Dam square. It is great as it is close to all the attractions and only a 10 minute walk from the central station! All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Excellent location for siting sites of Amsterdam. Staff were very helpful and responded well at all times. Room was very clean, comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. Only used restaurant on first night and lasagna was poor

The Location was fantastic and Check -in experience was good. However, the room was far too small, dark and unsuitable for a twin share. The sliding door in the bathroom was ill fitting and meant there was a lack of privacy. The price point was too high for that room. The night manager was very rude when a simple request was made for water for the room. I was informed that the small bottle of water were 3.50 Euro which was incorrect. When I challenged this he pushed the water across the counter in a very rude manner. I declined the water and purchased drinking water elsewhere. This issue was ‘addressed’ by Kim and it has been clearly stated that the night manager is a valued member of the team and his approach was acceptable. I will not be returning to your hotel.

Our stay at the Swissotel Amsterdam was very comfortable and we would like to highlight the customer intimacy shown by the front desk led by the Front Desk manager Mr Kim Hauser. The staff take all measures possible to ensure that customers are very well taken care of. The hotel location is excellent - right on Dam Square and within ten min of walk from Amsterdam Centraal.

The location is very good for all tourist attractions. The management team were very helpful (with the exception of night shift team who might be under stress), The rooms are clean and tidy. With the gae of the building it is well decorated but the nature lighting is not brilliant.

Friendly staff and modern hotel in a great location. The room was ridiculously small with no room for two standard size suitcases to work out of. The room was located immediately next to the gym which had the noise of the door shutting early mornings. The house cleaner didn’t clean our room on the second day and turned up at 5pm wanting to do it. The front area manager gave our breakfast free on one day to apologise for the noise but we didn’t mention the room size or the cleaning issue. Just some feedback for you to work with.
