« A lovely hotel »

This was our second stay at this beautiful hotel and location. We stayed under a Valentine promotion which included breakfast and some other amenities ( cake and champagne). The room was excellent and in general the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome - particularly the restaurant staff and room service attendant. There was an issue with the key system when we arrived so we had to be let into our room by the staff and the keys were not delivered to the room but later in the evening we stopped by the front desk to get our keys. The one issue we experienced was that the pool was not in service during our stay (this was the second year in a row- last time it was closed for 2 of the 4 days we were there) and as we have a young child I would have liked to have been made aware of this beforehand as I was flexible with my dates of travel and might have come at a different time as a pool is important to my child and not having one slightly effected our vacation. All in all a very pleasant stay otherwise.

« The Fairmont Monte Carlo is not as good as it used to be »

I have been staying at the Fairmont Monte Carlo for many years, maybe 25+ years? Whilst I understand why there are no longer chocolates on the pillow in the evening, the level of service in your hotel has seriously gone down. No night time room service and bed turn down? really?!? No cotton wool in the bathroom (yes, you brought some when we asked but I didn't expect to ask) Great hotels are not about architecture, there are about service, and your service has seriously gone down. shame in you!

« Pleasant stay, and a very qualified personnel »

Except the night when people started to walk and to use a trolley just above my room at 5:30 AM the first night (but better than those who had the works on the sea in front of their room at the first floor) , the rest of my stay was really nice. I did not have the pleasure of going to the pool, but the hotel is really pleasant and very well located in the city. And, please, thanks your personnel for me, for their reactivity and professionalism. Change nothing, everything was perfect.

We have previously stayed at the Fairmont and been satisfied, but I have to say that since being taken over by Accor they definitely seemed to have improved, particularly noticeable on arrival/check-in and breakfast, which offered a really nice selection of food and a lovely place to eat it. Overall a very nice stay enhanced by an upgrade to a sea view room.

Regarding the car park, please note that the valet parking service allows you to leave your vehicle to the good care of our caretakers who park it for you safely and in the immediate vicinity, avoiding the search and back and forth to one of the public parking that offers the Principality. There are parking also lots around the hotel for self-parking. Our fee includes the parking service and the convenience of having the car in a safe place and close at hand. You will also notice that our price is similar to other hotels in Monaco.
