Upon checking in, we were treated as old friends and made to feel exceptionally welcome. The staff were accommodating and obliging. Our room had been upgraded to a seaview, which was greatly appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to our next stay with you.

The Fairmont Monte Carlo was a dream. Service from the moment you enter, to the moment you depart is unparalleled. I found the Fairmont's service to be far superior to the service found at the Hermitage. When ordering room service, they tell you the exact moment the meal will arrive, and it actually arrives at that moment. Access to Nikki Beach was excellent. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at The Fairmont because it is iconic for Monte Carlo. We were dissapointed at how dates it was. And in particular how bad the corridors leading to our room smelt. Also, for the price you pay the little costs like paying 20 euros to clear the mini bar should not exist. Also - the quality of the bacon in the breakfast buffet was bad. We won't be staying here again as it is not worth the money.

Everything was superb as far as staff, service , restaurants go. We just feel the rooms and exterior are very tired. Your reception staff are all excellent as are the roof bar girls too

Must do more to reduce waiting times to check in, the queue was far too long. Room was comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent in there politeness, work and looking after us.

« Rooms could be better »

We were originally placed in a room that seemed like it was unoccupied for months. Smelled musty with mold. Was moved to a slightly better room, but these rooms definitely need renovating. We also mentioned we were staying for our honeymoon and got no consideration at all.

Unfortunately we encountered several issues during our stay from excessive waiting time to check in, incorrect room set up and several rude and abrupt members of staff. Sadly it was a very different experience to my last stay back in 2012.

« It seemed like everyone at the hotel didn't want to do their job.. their first word was always "no" »

We were supposed to have a deluxe ocean view but ended up on the first floor right next to the restaurant so there was no privacy. I would warn guests about the aggressive seagulls before setting up room service on the balcony. Additionally we ordered room service for the second time the flower came in rotting water. It smelled like someone relieved themselves into the vase. It was so bad we had to spray it with poop-pury and cover it with towels and pillows to make it through the night to check out because when we called down to complain they didn't offer to move our room. We had free drink credits at Nikki beach and the hotel restaurant and both were charged on the final bill and had to be removed.

I am a Platinum member at Fairmont (now a part of Le Club AccorHotels), and the service is rarely anything less than excellent. This has set a new bar: from the time I first spoke with Gilles at Reception, they made me feel like I was the most important guest at the hotel. They upgraded our suite to have a sea view. The manager on duty came to introduce himself and arranged for my wife and I to have a beautiful dinner at Horizons that evening. We came back to our room to find a bottle of champagne chilling. The list of many things, both great and small, that were so wonderfully thoughtful went on from there. The occasion of our visit was for a milestone birthday for my wife, and the team at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo made it her best. I was beyond words, and had only a simple “thank-you” to offer in return. This is what a luxury hotel experience should be.

Had the highest expectation from this hotel and definitely was not happy and will not be returning due to the fact that overall service was poor and rude staff and terrible experience from check in from the point of entering the hotel without anyone greeting you or helping you with your big heavy luggage to the check in desk finding out all information you had was wrong , extremely disappointed and will not be returning We paid quiet a lot of money for our stay but got nothing good in return Sad to say

« Stayed for 5 days. two days with Silver sea, 3 on my own. »

Because of the above, my reservations were confusing to staff, accept for Giles in Reception, who handled averything perfectly and gave us one room nice for the entire trip.

After a very long day of flying the hotel was a welcome site and place. Everyone was helpful and courteous. We had a special request to keep ice packs for medication and you accommodated us very nicely. Our best thing was that since our last name "B." was right up the street we had a bonus experience. We know from family history that ancestors of my husband changed their name to B. after the beautiful place in France. Thank you.
