Staff are very helpful and friendly. But the bath room door lock doesn’t work well and the room is a bit small for 3 persons.

Rusts in the bath. Room was dirty.

Outstanding hotel; Savoy Grill a disappointment

The hotel was beautiful and the staff made us feel very special. Although it was expensive, somewhat paradoxically it seemed like very good value for money. The only disappointing aspect was the Savoy Grill, which wasn't cheap but served very average food. I had oysters which were small and a bit scrappy, and my rib-eye wasn't tender. The sauce, however, was outstanding. It was also annoying that crepe suzettes were evidently very popular, but you had to book the dessert beforehand. There can't be a better way to make your guests feel second-rate. So the Grill was more nightmare than dream for me. My wife was happier with her meal. Thankfully we got to eat at the Le Gavroche a couple of nights later.

Our booking was made on what we thought was the Savoy website, on completion of the transaction it revealed that the reservation was actually made with Get A Room.com, who charged an additional £1,262.20 Tax recovery & service fees, additional to the room tarrif, neither Get a Room, or this fee being highlighted during the booking process, in short its a con. Immediately after the transaction was complete we rang the Savoy talking to the reservation, again as we thought the booking was made on the Savoy website, the disappointing part was that it became very clear, very quickly, that the Savoy showed no interested in our issue with the booking, closing the call as quickly as possible, the least the Savoy should do is distance them selves from Get A Room.com. We cannot be the first party that this has happened to and will continue to do so. The issue with the booking spoiled what should have been a very memorable experience with the Savoy..

1st time at the Savoy i thought I might feel a bit out of place but everybody was so friendly so helpful very informative and happy to chat like they had all the time in the world just for you. Rooms lovely, spacious we had a river view . Fantastic stay. We stayed for our 1st wedding anniversary and the small touches like came in our room with small note wishing us happy anniversary and the stationary gift made it for us . Those little things make a huge impact, couldn't believe it.

Unfortunately there was a few issues in the Savoy grill that spoilt our experience. Breakfast staff and high tea staff were amazing and couldn’t fault in anyway.
