I have stayed in probably 100 hotels or more and The team at the Savoy represent what i consider to be the pinnacle of the industry in focus, effortlessly assisting customers whilst seeming to do so and not affecting their privacy. The front door staff always remember you, your likes and dislikes. Rob has made a significant impression by being flawless in his approach. The Corporate Reservations Leadership, particularly Sophie is exemplary in every aspect of customer care, helping to come to an arrangement that makes the customers time effortless a massive thank you to her. The bar staff make wonderfully executed cocktails, remember what you like and ensure you have a 'later' evenign than anticipated. The restaurants are wonderful with beautifully fresh ingredients. The rooms are well appointed, well lit with comfortable bedding. I cannot recommend this stable of British hospitality history more.

Everything was perfect. Treated with the greatest of attention. My check in could perhaps have been a little smoother - I had a small difficulty in locating my room - took the wrong staircase.

I stay at the Savoy every year as we hold our annual client conference there. The conference went well but my stay was disappointing. The check in procedure was very poor. I waited 20 mins to check in as there was only one person dealing with customers. Only one of the green lifts was working so it took me a little while to get to my room. The most disappointing asepct was my breakfast experience on my second day. I joined a colleague at 7.15am in a large queue to be seated. We waited 20 mins to be eventually seated. I mentioned this to the lady who seated me, she suggested that I could have breakfast in my room if I wanted which is hardly appropriate given I was having breakfast with a female colleague. The check out procedure was similarly poor with a long wait so in the end I gave up and my company called to make sure the room was settled on the account.

« All that one would expect from staying at this iconic hotel. »

All of the staff were very courteous, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was excellent as was the breakfast menu. The only mild criticism was that on one occasion there was a 10 minute or so wait to be seated for breakfast although there were tables available. The problem being that there was only one person 'meeting and greeting' resulting in a queue of about 6 couples.
