With the help for one member of staff I organised my proposal to my partner. I couldn't have asked for any more it was perfect and as this particular member of staff was actually meant to be off on leave, she made a special trip to work to make sure everything was just perfect.

Well it didn't start so well as the room I paid to updrade too did not meet my expectations. Reception did fix tbis but it took some time to get moved room. New room was very good. Dinners in Savoy Grill and Simpsons were excellent as was the service.

« Iconic hotel, excellent service but serious noise problem caused by air conditioning plant »

Comfort and service go without saying. But I had to change my room twice to avoid noise from air conditioning plant in inner courtyard. I was at first installed in a particularly noisy room despite having specifically requested a quiet room.

« Beautiful hotel excellent food, wine and staff! »

Lovely hotel! Loved eating at Gordon Ramsey’s. We did the wine pairing meal and found it to be one of the best meals we have ever had! The staff at the hotel were wonderful. The room was nice but would have liked to have directions on how to work the shower faucet. Overall great experience.

« The hotel and staff were great, but we were not able to stay in a room with 2 beds that we requested through our touring company, Tauck. »

We were very please by the courteous and very helpful staff- including the reception, concierge and restaurant staffs. The hotel itself is, of course, very impressive and historical. We also had a delightful experience at the High Tea. As mentioned above, however, we were not able to stay in a room with two beds, as we requested through our touring company, Tauck. That is important to us because of our sleeping habits, and as a result we did not sleep very well. We talked to the reception department about this matter on the morning after our first stay and were told that we could upgrade to a larger room for 70 pounds per night. Under the circumstances I think that upgraded room should have been complimentary, but the hotel obviously viewed it differently.

« Great location and very nice hotel, very frustrating room situation and extremely noisy lift. »

While the Savoy is a beautiful hotel and in a great location, our room situation was extremely frustrating. When we checked in we were told we had a room on the 5th floor with a courtyard view but the room was not ready yet. 20 minutes later we were told they moved us to the 2nd floor because the first room could not accommodate 3 beds. Not sure why the staff thought we needed 3 beds, so I explained that I wanted the king room that I booked with a rollaway bed for my son. I specifically stated I wanted the original room on the 5th floor. We left for the day only to return to the hotel and find that we were moved to the 2nd floor. I explained what had happened earlier in the day, so they moved us to the 8th floor, right next to the only working lift. Needless to say, the lift was extremely noisy and it sounded like someone was bowling right next to our heads! The headboard to the king bed was on the wall right next to the lift. Seemed extremely odd that the staff would assign this room to anyone, never mind a party that checked in at 9:00 AM and waited all day for their room to be ready. Needless to say, we got very little restful sleep and that was one of the main reasons that we stayed at The Savoy. After we checked out, I received an email from They Savoy explaining why they changed our room, but it was not at all accurate based on what the staff told us. I responded to the email and documented what we were told, but I never heard back from anyone at The Savoy. As I said, The Savoy is a beautiful hotel, but the room situation was not at all what we expected given the cost!

From the moment we walked in we felt we were treated like really good friends. Everyone was welcoming and kind. Jose, the concierge was especially good to us and helped us out quite a bit. He also sent us a lovely amenity when he learned we were gong to see the Harry Potter show.

Very special visit. We enjoyed a couple of nice dinners at Kaspers. Your servers were very good and accommodating. The chef and his kitchen were great. The octopus carpaccio salad was fantastic!

« First Class - brought back memories of the top hotels in Hong Kong. The best hotel we have stayed in for as long as I have lived in the UK. »

Excellent, from the moment we walked in the concierge took care of us and all our bags and reception was perfect and very swift. Visa was down but the young man on reception handled it perfectly. We were staying for a function at the Guildhall and the location was brilliant and an easy access to our venue. I was incredibly pleased with all aspects of our stay and it inspired me to return to London after many bad hotel experiences. The breakfast choice was also fantastic, slightly let down by the coffee which went cold very quickly. Overall, we would like to return and have certainly recommended you to friends and colleagues.

« Brilliant as usual - the only slight negative comment is that there is some sound penetration between adjoining room. It would always be preferred with a suite to not have an adjoining room or at least if we do to inform us in advance. »

« 7-8. This time there has been quite some problems with the service »

I do have to admit that this time there was no day without having service problems (room service, breakfast). Orders were forgotten, came very late etc. They all took care about it but it should be checked how this can happen. Staff was great, concierge service has been also a help all the time. Still a great hotel, hope to see you soon again.

The hotel location was central and convenient. The facilities were wonderful. The breakfast in the hotel was scrumptious. The service was impeccable. This was our first time to London and we had a fabulous dinner each night due to the concierge recommendations. I cannot say enough regarding our great experience with the Savoy.
