Lovely hotel with very gracious employees however we didn't appreciate being told at check out that we owed a "tax" of €30. We had paid in advance (months ago) and thought this was information we should have been told when we checked in, NOT when we checked out. I expected more for such a high quality hotel.

My family and I were greeted with warm smiles and were given helpful tips to navigate the city. The room was very clean and elegantly designed. The breakfast was delicious and the chef catered to our needs. My parents celebrated their anniversary and the staff brought them champagne and dessert. Will definitely stay with Fairmont again in the future!

Check in with Anna was quick and efficient, and check out with was also smooth and quick , reception team over all is so great. Jose Maria, Juan and Olga at breakfast were so attentive and perfect service. Hearcwe beed to mention the Housekeeping team also who made turn down service were so amazing.

It’s our third stay this hotel . All I can say is everything was excellent . We felt at home and welcomed and special guest. The recipcionest are very friendly and helpful. The food are excellent and restaurants staff are very efficient. The whole experience is perfect.

From the moment I stepped into The Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I I received a warm welcome at both the reception desk and concierge desk. I was given a very helpful map before being talked through the hotel's facilities and being given my welcome drink voucher and room upgrade.

I did not have the best of stays with your hotel, from dirty bath water to the room being far to cold! I also got stuck in the lift for over an hour.... I called down to reception so many times and nothing was done, I even escalated the issue to management (Laura Lopez) but again nothing got sorted out! It was very disappointing and I stay in Barcelona a lot. I am yet to contact the hotel as I am traveling on business in Cambodia & Vietnam at the moment, I will follow this up when I get back to the UK. Regards Greg Gr… 07…

People’s service and restaurant were very good. However, there was almost no Platimum member benefit. I enjoyed two free breakfast and room upgrade but all benefits were what I requested. After we found rust water in bath room, we could stay there anymore. Jaewon

The Fairmont TEAM was AMAZING. The suite was large, functional and well appointed. The beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms were perfect. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service staff was warm and friendly. The only downsides were the location, pretty far outside the city center, the cost of food and drinks and the location of our suite, which was positioned only 1 floor above the bar and DJ. When we checked in, we asked for a suite on a higher level or further from the noise, but were told that all the suites were on the 1st level, which is close the nighttime noise, and has a view of the roof. It wasn't unbearably noisy, but you could hear the festivities below well into the early morning.

The stay was great. The bed was really awesome and the pillows were just right giving me a very restfull sleep. All service was great and the complimentary items were nice too. I had an issue will drainage in the bathroom on the first day and this was quickly resolved when I reported it the next morning. My suggestion to have all these things checked prior to a new guest checking-in as it's a pet-hate to not have everything perfect on check-in day which forms the first impression of any hotel. Other than this - it was all good.

One thing that stood out was end to end how well trained the staff were from a customer service perspective. Nothing was too much trouble, service was extremely efficient and the team were so friendly. This was consistent from reception, housekeeping, room service, concierge to wait staff in bar/restaurant areas
