The room was exceptional and very clean. A refrigerator in the room would be a nice added benefit instead of the mini-fridge that is filled with all of the beverages in there for extra charge. Although the $20 resort fee is disclosed and I was aware of it upfront, it still sort of shocks you when you get the final bill. It would go a long way towards better customer satisfaction if you got rid of the resort fee and just added the $20 to the overall room rate. This is much more realistic and transparent. I was also shocked at the $42/day valet parking rate. We were asked if we wanted to valet park, but were never told there was a charge. I would have expected some charge but was completely shocked at $42/day. That seems a bit outrageous to me. Also, the "Fairmont Friday" in the lounge sure seemed to be a lot more then just guests and it was so crowded it made it hard to enjoy the lounge on Friday for the short stay we had.

Fantastic, beautiful place and staff throughout the resort were all very friendly and pleasant

Very comfortable hotel. Excellent service. My only disappointment was with the lack of recycling facilities in the rooms or on the premises. This is not what I would expect from a top hotel in 2019. Also, some of the portions food were embarrassingly large. We couldn't finish the items, so they went in the garbage. Again...not very environmental. Charge a bit less, serve a bit less.

The experiance was not consistent, we had breakfast the first day and the waiter was EXCEPTIONAL, the next day for breakfast and a different waiter was gone most of the time, did he take a half hour break ? And when he did show up he was concentrating on cleaning tables when we could of had our dirty plates removed, etc. The new trainee on the front desk, KUTA, needed a lot more training, I asked when checking in if there were any free upgrades available, she took about 15 mins, yes of course, and then asked for another 150 per night, I said, no, FREE was the word you missed. She was on the desk at checkout, I told her something was wrong with the bed, she asked me how I broke it...no, i didn't break anything, something was wrong, she ignored me. I told her I was charged more than the 100 cap for a pet in the room, she looked at my account and counted out, 1,2,3 x 50 is 150, I reminded her that there was a 100.00 cap, she was confused, but after looking in her system, removed a 50 credit. I went to the concierge to tell them about the bed, it was droped on one side, he said it was missing a part and would have it fixed and I asked for a credit on my bill, absolutely he said, no credit. The valet men out side were awesome, remembered your name, were always polite. Your housecleaning staff are terrified of dogs yet you are a dog friendly hotel, it was embarrassing as they jumped behind their wagon. We have a very gentle dog and he was more startled with their behaviour.

We had a fantastic stay, the breakfast provided was delicious, the service throughout the hotel is attentive and polite. Stayed only one night for a business conference and it was a great experience. 5-star customer service from the Front Desk and Concierge agents, great willingness to help store my bags as well as exuded genuine active listening and communication skills rather than portray scripted tone and responses; I think the 5-star empathy and communication skills in a hospitality environment is what sets apart competition. The facility itself is beautiful, living in Vancouver, BC, I can appreciate the gorgeous nature-induced classical design of the building, the lobby, the location near the mountains, and the overall fresh smell of both man-made cleanliness surrounded by nature’s serenity. All-in-all, I was extremely satisfied as a first-time customer and will certainly return and recommend this hotel to colleagues, family and friends. Thank you!

While the hotel was beautiful, my room had issues - the door stuck, the curtains didn't close and all of my pillows were obviously well used. I did not complain about any of these issues as I was only staying for two nights. I also found that the lack of a "corner store" to purchase snacks or drinks was frustrating.

Our stay with Fairmont Whistler was fantastic. All the things you expect from the Fairmont Whistler were present but it's the little things that steal the show. as an example: I had bought some beer for my room and put a few in the ice bucket to stay cold, after returning from being out all day it was a pleasant surprise to see that the staff had refreshed the ice in the bucket and I had a cold beer waiting.

I was very happy with my experience with Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Right from booking my room over the phone to check out. Every staff member was lovely and helpful. You can tell the hotel has taken time to foster staff culture because everyone seemed very happy and proud to be working there. Once we were staying at other hotels later on our trip, I started to notice all the nuances that were present at Fairmont and not at theirs. Good job! Also, my Dad said to me "why has it taken me til being 85 years old to stay at such a nice hotel?!" It was a great trip for my parents and I.
