Housekeeping walked into my room at 8:30am without announcing themselves or knocking. Scared the bejeez out of me as I was alone. Otherwise the best place to stay in whistler.

« Excellent »

Everyone was warm and professional. The ski rental was easy with great access to the chair. The concierge service was lovely. I left my charger at home and they kindly charged my phone multiple times a day. The shuttle drivers were professional but friendly/chatty. You should be proud of this hotel.

It was a good experience with 1 main complaint and that was the rather cool temperature just about everywhere, my room was very drafty both from the room door as well as the outdoor windows

« a winter paradise »

We were so entranced with the hotel, that we never left the building! Wallowed in the hot tub, read books poolside, and feasted on in-room dining while watching a just-released movie. Watched fat snowflakes fall while lunching in the bar, loved our breakfast experience. We needed a 24 hour respite, and that's what we got.

You need to provide more water for a guest to drink each night. The rooms are very dry and each of my 3 nights I woke up in the middle of the night wanting more water - the bottle you provided was not enough. I suggest you put additional bottles on the TV stand so a guest can access if need be. The beds were comfortable but once you wake up thirsty at 3-4am it's difficult to get a restful night's sleep!

« Overcharged on invoice for mini bar, management refusal to shorten stay with lots of time to rebook »

Very disappointed, I called ahead to shorten stay by one night. They told me to speak to manager at hotel. Management refused even though they could have resold room at higher rate on Saturday night in Feb. Very weak customer service, so much for any 'Fairmont Club'. To top it off, I was charged for a bottle of wine from mini bar that I didn't touch. Always fun to have to call back to get it adjusted. Enjoy the extra $300, I will avoid Fairmont in the future and strongly recommend as a financial supporter of the conference that we book another venue in future years.

The group was contractually obligated to commit to a certain number of room nights. In order to refund your deposit, the Conference would have been required to pay for your shortening of stay. The group was not willing to cover for this cancellation fee therefore, we were unable to waive the fee. always amazing, they couldn't accommodate me at first and I was put on a wait list for the ICSC conference , then I heard a friend in industry called up 3 nites b4 the conference and got a room so I called the Fairmont and they were kind enough to find space for me I was very grateful!

« Generally good except one major disappointment »

All Good as expected except the drain in the tub was 90% blocked which made for a extremely unpleasant and therefore short shower experience. I maybe expect that from a Motel 6 but not from the Chateau Whistler. Surprised and disappointed.

« Absolutely fantastic! »

From the moment we got out of the bus and were greeted warmly by the valet team, our fast and efficient check-in and then opening the door to our beautiful Deluxe Slopeside view room, the Fairmont Château Whistler did not disappoint! This wonderful, iconic hotel fully lived up to our expectations, from being able to ski back to the hotel and hand over our skis, to jumping into the hot tub to enjoy an apres ski cocktail and then to relaxing next to the beautiful open fire, this hotel certainly is a skier’s dream come true!
