« You have got to be kidding? I expected better service given the brand and costs! »

We were checking in at 2:45, knowing that check-in wasn’t until 3, and our room wasn’t ready yet. Hard to believe the Fairmont runs such a tight schedule? After the delay, which extended our check-in beyond 3 PM, the concierge was no more accommodating that a Super 8 Hotel, first fail... and where are the complimentary drinks upon arrival, this is a resort is it not? Second fail. It was great to have a desk, but the internet speed is terrible, I’ve had better internet in remote locations of Northn BC, third fail. Why is the coffee machine tucked away in a bottom cabinet? Seriously some elderly chap could probably pull there back trying to make a coffee in the morning, fourth fail. And finally, what bothers me the most is that this ‘resort’ costs $300/night but doesn’t provide breakfast. That is gouging at an extreme precedent. Fifth and sixth fail. I am completely dissatisfied with this experience.

« Wondeful experience, very beautiful hotel and facility »

The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. I absolutely loved the flowers. The arrangements inside the resort as well as the gardens. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean... and the views, well unbelievable. I was at a conference and the space was very nice and comfortable. The food was very good. Both for the conference as well as in the restaurants. Overall, an experience of 10++++. I plan to attend the conference again next year. Looking for to it and plan to bring family and stay longer.

Everything is excellent except continuous cost tipping . We were early so valet took our bags said they would be in our roomgave a good tip for that. Call room is ready go to our room within seconds completely different person shows up with our bags not valet. More tips. Bought a bottle of pop just under five dollars. Why do you charge ridiculous amounts for simple things. How do you justify the cost for simple things. Went golfing chateau payed premium rate cart did not work no gps got gee sorry. Should have been reimbursed not just sorry. Charge premium service should be premium.

Great: Staff Good: property* Bad: property* THe property is definitely 5 stars, as is the service. The only caveat is INCREDIBLY POOR SOUND INSULATION (mostly from the doors). I could hear (and participate if I wanted to) fairly QUIET conversations happening in the hallway. I imagine any sound made from the rooms would be easily detected in the hallway as well. There is just no excuse for it-and it has to be a pretty well known issue. That said, I was not bothered by any noise at night- as the guests are thankfully very courteous. The shower pressure was great!

First and foremost I would like to thank you for your loyalty towards the Fairmont brand and even more importantly for taking the time to provide us your feedback in this survey. I am very sorry to hear that your recent experience to our property was less than perfect. As a regular Fairmont guest who has come to know and enjoy our service, it was disappointing to learn that we fell short of your expectations and our standards in almost every aspect of your stay. We certainly let you down on this occasion and we are extremely embarrassed that we did not deliver on our brand as promised. Although we have recently transitioned to Le Club Accor Hotels, our cores values and our service should still be as impeccable. Although I cannot improve or fix the lost time and experience that occurred, I do want you to know that I am terribly apologetic it was not possible to upgrade your room and that you received a poor service at breakfast. Your observations have been constructive and purposeful thereby enabling me and my team to improve for future guests’ experiences. Rest assured that I have taken your feedback to heart and will use them in focal point discussions with my team, while continuously improving our transition to Le Club. Our 6 year old son had a wonderful time. So did his parents. Once again, the reception was painless. The front dest staff surprised us by offering us an upgrade because of a review we placed on Trip Advisor in 2016. We were shocked and extremely appreciative of the gesture. The room was amazing. The view was awesome. We arrived late on Friday on a bus from Vancouver. We still managed to have time for a fun dip in the pools. Our 6 year old son made friends instantly in the pools. We were there the weekend of The Whistler Children's Festival. It is July and Summer-Season. There were plenty of kids our son's age staying at the Fairmont. It was perfect storm. All very nice, outgoing kids in the pool...playing and having fun. Enjoyed breakfast at Portobello Sat-Sun. The Dirty Bowl!! My goodness. Family of 3 leaves completely full for less than $30. Farmers Market on Sunday morning outside the hotel. We had a great weekend. My wife, Marilou, slept from 7:30pm Sat until 8:00am Sunday! She needed it. There was so much for our son and I to do.
