It was a really lovely hotel, unfortunately our tv didn't work, the staff tried to fix it a few times and ended up replacing the tv. It was just very disappointing as my daughter and I were only there for 2 nights to rest and unwind and were looking forward to watching movies together and having uninterrupted down time. T

We have stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler many times and are members of the "Seasons Pass" program this year. Overall we find the hotel to be excellent and the staff to be very friendly and service oriented. On our most recent visit (January 11,12,13 2019) I noted two situations that were not ideal. The main situation was that at the time of check-out, I went to the priority line as we are Accor Club members. The customer service agent was not helping anyone, yet there was a line for the regular agents. the Accor Club agent first asked me to wait a moment as she was completing a task - which was just fine - but then she looked up and as I approached the desk she told me that I had to go wait in the other line. I was shocked by the fact that she used the tone that she did, and also that she didn't ask me if I was in fact a club member eligible to use that line before taking the tone she did. I was quite offended, and also didn't want to wait in the lengthy line to simply ask if we had to formally check out. I visited the concierge where we were able to confirm that we could depart without visiting an agent if our bill was OK as presented that morning as the remainder would be charged to our credit card on file. We also were surprised (as were many of the families in the hot tub we were with) that the hotel had run out of ice cream to make milkshakes. One of my daughters was celebrating her birthday and she had been looking forward to that all week. She picked an alternate drink with blackberries - which you had also run out of, so it was substituted with raspberries which unfortunately she didn't like. The staff were so busy as the hotel was so busy - it seemed almost impossible for them to provide the usual level of customer service. This was also true at the Montebello restaurant when we were there on two occasions. Thank you for providing an opportunity for feedback.

I have stayed at several five star hotels, and this one absolutely exceeded our expectations. Between the honeymoon welcome champagne and chocolates to the wonderful housekeeping , concierge, dining, ski valet, and location, staying here truly helped make our honeymoon the best! We will 100% be staying here again and recommend any of our friends who come to Whistler to stay here.

One afternoon I came back from skiing and found the maids had left an almost empty plastic bottle of vodka in my bathroom. Another day I turned my shower on and found they had left the nozzle pointed directly outward so I sprayed water all over the bathroom. Unacceptable.

« A disney cruise on the mountain »

first room was stinky, second room was fine. both were very dated in furnishings. eventually moved to a nicer room due to the crying/yelling children in the adjacent room. that was more updated, but overall not very nice rooms or modern/updated for the price. According to your staff there were 400 children of 1300 guests. Adults traveling for vacation should be told it would be children everywhere. If i signed up for a disney cruise, i'd expect children. not the case at a high-end resort or so i thought. very disappointed

First day, shower wouldn't drain. I fiddled with the stopper & a HUGE wad of OTHER people's hair came out. I was so disgusted, I couldn't bathe my children. Window wouldn't close, maintenance came & "fixed it" - didn't. Cold freezing air came in all night. We were so miserable we left 1 night early even though I had paid for the 2nd night.

We booked the Chateau for our honeymoon but were disappointed when the hotel did not acknowledge our honeymoon. They had also forgot to give us robs, so we had to ask for them. In addition, the light in our room was broken and we have to ask to get it fixed. It still didn't work consistently during our stay.

Staff were generally very helpful, friendly and eager to help. Very impressed with housekeeping. Unhappy with: - the valet service which didn’t deliver on commitment - the pool manager who made us leave at 11pm when sign says open to midnight - The server at the pool who finally delivered our drinks shortly before we were told to leave
