It was a great way to spend our first anniversary weekend! We loved the room, how cozy it felt, and the different types of drinks that were offered at the hotel bar! To top it off, it was a beautiful morning to soak in the baths outdoors. It was serene and quiet, and a perfect way to get ready for the day.

It was good except for trying to get dinner in the restaurant on the evening of the 18th. The manager was not up to par with helping a single guest and said he was busy with a group coming in. Took a long time and therefore I left. Not impressed. Should have been able to handle it.

The staff was excellent. The hotel was elegant but cosy. We really enjoyed ourselves, both at the conference and when enjoying the amenities, such as the pool and restaurant. It is a beautiful setting, quiet and surrounded by nature but still reasonably close to Whistler village.

« Not as family friendly as I thought »

We were gifted this stay for my birthday and have three little kids. I didn’t feel like the hotel was very family friendly for the kids there was t much for them to do and the room had no fridge to store any snacks for them and we were never offered it. Check in was slow and so was checkout and it was extremely confusing and we were charged twice for breakfast and our stay and it took so long for staff to make it right.

I am disappointed to hear that your recent stay with us was less than perfect and that the overall experience, in many sectors, was below what you can expect from a Fairmont. « A magical weekend! »

From beginning to end our weekend away at the Chateau was beyond our expectations! It was our anniversary and we were upgraded, surprised with chocolate and strawberries, checked in early, checked out late, driven to dinner in a private BMW, and enjoyed multiple visits to the spa. Everything was a first class experience. We hope to do this every other year on our anniversary... can't think of a better place to go! I am sorry, I thought that I had filled this out already. The above is the same review I put on Tripadvisor. Thank you to all the Chateau staff who made this such a memorable weekend!

« It was really great...we were there on a busy weekend »

It was as usual the typical experience you expect from a Fairmont. The Spa I found a bit lacking compared to some of the others I have visited, but the massage was fantastic so I really could not complain. We were missing some amenities in our room (Slippers) but really all so minor things. The time we went there was a very large contingent of KIDS and Families so was pretty busy, which was not characteristic of other Fairmont's I have been to, but it was so nice to see so many smiles, and all the dogs just chilling. Cost is always a concern for me, and like usual I find the prices in the lounge a bit much as well as the cost of breakfast, but I go there expecting that and we just venture out due to that. All in all I love the Fairmonts as they are always reliable and friendly

« Absolutely amazing staff »

Everyone on the staff was totally amazing, attentive, helpful, courteous, professional, and friendly. The ambience was wonderful, the room was beautiful, clean, and modern. The scenery was spectacular. The only complaint that we have was that there was a lot of noise from the remodeling construction during the day when we were trying to take a nap. We would have requested a different room farther away from the noisy construction, but the hotel was full the entire week.
