Had a great time with my family when we stayed at this hotel last month. In addition to my previous review where I talked about how excellent Sudi was, I also wanted to say that the lady from housekeeping and the bellman were both incredibly friendly and professional. They made our stay a lot better.

I do like Fairmont hotel but I find they I don’t always get the benefits of upgrade or special treatment as diamond/ platinum Accor member. I often have to ask for the upgrade or Club floor and for the past two times I was not given club floor as an upgrade although I did once in the past. The rooms are not all to the same standard and sometimes there are no welcome amenities. It doesn’t feel a particularly personalized service either as u have asked for healthy snacks and healthy / non sugary welcome gift but then I got a chocolate. It is a shame as it is a good hotel and in a good location. But pricey for the value that they give to Accor members.

As a Platinum card holder, I expected a bit more attention/treatment from the hotel in general. Despite spending approx $430 a night (including parking, excluding breakfast), I was not offered an room upgrade, my WIFI was not upgraded (in fact, wifi signal wasn't up to scratch and couldn't stream on the room's TV because I had to pay more), welcome drink was given for 2 people (we were 4 people).... I expected at least an acknowledgment. Having said that, the front desk was courteous, the room was clean and spacious, the hotel is located in a nice chic area of DC. Valet service professional but costly.
