« Still Our Favorite Place Away From Home »

This was our second three night stay since January 1 and we have already booked an additional nine nights over the Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day weekends. The Fairmont Washington is an exceptionally well-managed and well appointed hotel in our favorite American city. Very competent, very professional, personable staff. Probably the best hotel breakfast in DC. We always book a rate that includes breakfast. For this stay we booked two rooms and hosted my brother and his wife. They agreed with our assessment and will be returning.

Another great stay at your lovely hotel. The level of service is always 5 stars, the lobby still a stunner, and the room service menu is the best in DC. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms with heavenly beds. Love the couch for lounging and the decor so modern but timeless.

« Wonderful stay at a fine & convenient hotel. »

We had booked a room at the hotel, but Opal Barrett contacted us (club members) to see if we wanted to upgrade. We did and it was great! We travel a lot and this was one of the best experiences we have had. Staying on the 9th floor, the Executive Suite improved a great deal our stay in Georgetown and DC. Opal is a spectacular Supervisor and the Fairmont is a very fine hotel. o

Seamless check-in; amazing staff; beautiful facilities; perfect accommodations - well suited for my work/leisure combo stay. Excellent location to Georgetown, Dupont, monuments. Given the nearby options, the staff made the overall experience that much more worthwhile.

« Good food, comfy room, but there was a cockroach on my pillow. »

Enjoyed the stay, food was very good and bed was very comfortable, but on the last night a small cockroach crawled onto my pillow as I was laying on it!

Great bed: Slept very comfortably. Great service: requested and was provided a refrigerator for my room. So-so shower: hot water was poor every morning; requested and received assistance, but not fully resolved; hotel helped make up for it after day one with small credit to room account.

The Hotel was wonderful, amenities where great. My only issue was with the restroom the chain kept on getting caught every-time it flushed and would run until we would uncover to fix.

« Challenaging review to write - staff were out of this world but the food was a huge disappointment »

It was a tale of 2 experiences: The gold floor staff went out of there way to make my wife’s birthday a huge success. I couldn’t have been happier. That said the food in the lounge wasn’t very good and that also goes with both the restaurant and the lobby bar. I’ve stayed at many Fairmont properties and I would have to say that this ranks lowest in food quality.

« First time in 6 years that I stay at your hotel that my experience was as I rated above. »

My staff and I stay at your hotel twice a year and this is time I was taken back. First we requested a late check in for the staff member because he was flying on the red eye. They stated they did not have it, took the room off, he would not have a room until the afternoon, normal check in time and charge for the no-show. Spoke with the manager and he re-stated the policy. When I said we would be staying across the street moving forward he accommodated him with a room and was not going to charge for the no show. As of today we have not received the credit for the no show.

« Room and service overall met the standards expected for the price »

I've been attending conferences twice a year at this Fairmont for the past 4 years and found the condition of the rooms and service to be excellent. When I requested a different room location at check-in this was not a problem. My only beef is that the charge for internet service is outdated and should be included in the price.

I have stayed there many times. This time, the room was not as clean as I would have liked. There was a half eaten cookie in the night stand drawer. I am still waiting for a response about a charge on my bill that I did not make.
