I stayed 2 nights for the Aluminum Association's annual meeting. The rooms were nice and the food was good. The location is awesome. Room rate was a little pricey. I would not spend that kind of money, if not for the convention.

The Royal service team notably, Souad Machkor, was excellent, proactive and thoughtful. I greatly appreciated their attention to detail. Your good floor service is wonderful. However, while checking out (by tel), the operator informed me that I could eat breakfast in the restaurant and that I would not be charged because I had paid for the gold floor service. However, the gold floor lounge person and the receptionist were not in agreement but said they would follow up with me later. They did not and charged me the additional fees. For me, this is a communication failure. I was informed something would be free and it was not. I was informed I would be contacted prior to charging my card and I was not. Please don’t create expectations and then not follow through. Sadly, this left a bad final impression on an otherwise enjoyable stay. Edith A.

The rooms were nice- the venue for the wedding, cocktail hour and reception were very good as was the food. I was just notified however that my card has been charged close to a thousand dollars from a tab at the bar for drinks consumed there after the wedding by unidentified people. That was something I was not expecting.

All charges for this room were set to go to the master account. I am sorry this caught you as a surprise. If Mr. Hummel wants to provide another form of payment we can at that time then rebate your that charge on your credit card. Please advise if this is what he will do. When I arrived, the computer system had unfortunately gone down. I was not in a hurry to check into my room and I told the staff that. Nevertheless, the front desk staff were so gracious and accommodating in spite of the pressure they had under the circumstances. They were top class from the beginning to the end of my stay. The room was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, and the proximity to the Howard house was an added plus. I will always remember this hotel if and when I return to Washington DC.

I was there attending the Realty Alliance meeting. I woke up both nights and was hot. do you turn the AC off at night. I can stay at Motel 6 and get free Wifi. But when I stay at the Fairmont I have to pay extra for this basic service. The Fairmont needs to get in todays world. Wifi is basic service just like AC and a TV. It is expected and should be part of the price at every hotel. Free at Holiday Inn. Free at Hampton Inn. Free at all basic hotels and motels.

I requested early check-in, 2pm. Room was not ready. Front desk person said there is very little chance to get into my room before 4pm. So I went to town to sightsee. 20 minutes later I get a text that my room is ready... What??? I could have waited for my room in the hotel. There was no lotion in my bathroom. Bed mattress is not comfortable. Small nail is sticking up from the carpet in the left corner area of the window. Confusion with renting the hotel provided bikes. Bar in the lobby closed too soon.

From our arrival to our departure the Fairmont staff did an excellent job with customer service. The bellman staff were very attentive in getting our bags inside and to the front desk. The front desk staff were very efficient in checking us in and asking if we had any questions or special requests. The Juniper staff (Oscar and Julio) did an excellent job with our breakfast. They were attentive to ensure we had coffee and juice plus ensuring there was nothing missing from the buffet that we wanted for breakfast. Check-out was smooth and efficient. We look forward to return to this great hotel in the near future. Thank You!
