We came to DC for the Smith wedding which was held downstairs in the ballroom. Our room was great and the staff was very helpful. Would stay there the next time we are in DC!

« A fair price for the experience - good location that is as "off the beaten path" as you can get in DC. »

Stayed to get my status for 2017. Was a very reasonable $179. There were restaurant malfunctions, but the bar service ended up being delicious (one of the best drinks I have had). Rooms beautiful and I did like the location being walking distance to Georgetown which is nice during Christmas season. Valet/Bellboy service was top notch. My only nitpicks - for some reason I got an email prompting me to upgrade to Fairmont Gold - even though it was not available during this season. And the outdoor stuff was a bit shutdown. Only a Nit because I understand it was not very busy - why waste the energy on heating an empty chair (although it is kind of self-fulfilling and cyclic)

Superb ! Couldn't be more happy. We were staying on the 4th floor with a Courtyard view room. Although, everything was fine, we would have preferred a higher storey room, as the Courtyard view was almost eye level. Anyways, our stay was perfect with clean rooms and all amenities as expected. Infact the House Keeping staff needs a special mention here wherein they even made sure to mend my clothes and keep them properly. Breakfast buffet was amazingg with plenty of options. The Valet charges seemed a little expensive. Just wanted to confirm if these are the standard valet charges around DC.

Gift shop closed permanently. Salad missing from room service. Room not cleaned properly. Bathtub not cleaned daily. No slippers in room. No newspaper delivered to room in spite of being asked on web site whether we wanted local or national paper. When queried the reply was "We're modernizing". Would we like a paper delivered next day? Yes. No paper next day. Buffet breakfast items not replenished promptly. Nice lobby, though.

Overall it was good. The hotel is very comfortable and welcoming. Our room was nice but having staying at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, it felt dated.

As always, I was generally pleased. The food at Juniper and service was superb as always. However, we didn't get a paper in the morning as we always do. Additionally, it took extremely long to get our car at the end of our stay. We were on the 4th floor and it was sometimes loud from the alleyway. But, overall I think this was a fantastic, albeit short, stay. We always stay with you and plan to continue that!

« A comfortable base from which to explore the Smithsonian museums »

We appreciated the comfortable bed and good night's sleep though noise woke us up around 7:00 am every morning. We could also hear people in the corridor outside. We had problems with the heating in that we could turn the thermostat up and warm air would blow but the temperature would slowly drop. We liked the fluffy towels in the bathroom but the water took a while to warm up sufficiently. We used the Chromecast on the TV but it kept dropping. Service from every department was excellent. The restaurant was good though we were disappointed in the breakfast buffet compared to the Fairmont in Banff. Access to the Balance gym was a big plus and we enjoyed several different classes.
