As usual, the amenities were great and everything in the room was lovely. I travel often for work and sample the hotels along the waterfront, looking for a favourite. The Fairmont is often my go-to in different cities, and was close to the top of the list until this stay. The restaurant washroom was occupied by some intoxicated young people - so I was seeking an alternate facility without having to go all the way back up to my room, so I went down to the conference floor. I knew where the washroom was here as I was attending a physician leadership conference there all day. After using the washroom, I was awkwardly followed by a staff member who then asked me a series of questions and needed to know what my room number was, then asked to see my hotel key as if they did not believe my answer. I suppose he thought I was a homeless person using hotel facilities. Even if that were the case, I was clearly politely leaving via the elevator and he could have subtly ensured this was the case by riding the elevator with me, instead of stopping me from pushing the elevator button before I answered his questions. Would someone homeless be detained for such behaviour? Either way the approach was odd and off-putting, and I was quite upset to be treated as such.

Was nice and no problems, room got a little cold at some points and felt I needed to turn the heat up to much but other than that was nice. The option to have a mini fridge for my room was nice and holding and delivering the boxes I had sent ahead was nice

I was attending a conference in the Convention Centre, West Building. Your front desk said that I could not get there underground and would have to go outside. I was surprised because before booking I had actually telephoned to speak to someone to ensure that I would not have to put on my coat to get to the West Building. On day 2 of the conference when I arrived in the rain, a fellow delegate told me how to get there (through the concourse food court to Canada place and through Canada place to the west building). Please give better information to your staff.

We were there for a conference, and were upgraded to the gold floors. The private breakfast lounge was fantastic. From the concierge, to the desk staff, to the housekeeping staff, everyone was very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful stay.

Everything was great. It was nice to see that the rooms have been refreshed since my last stay a couple of years ago. My only complaint is that the shower head it too low. I am 6'1" and could not stand under it.

Parties every night and very sleepless nights due to noise. Called security several times. One very impolite doorman. Not typical Fairmont service. Second stay at waterfront and will not be back. The only excellent Fairmont service was the doorman named “Alfredo I think”

Wonderful experience from first minute to last. Our mother/daughter shopping weekend started with a lovely upgrade to a room with a spectacular view that made us feel very welcome indeed. We had such a great time then I've convinced my husband that we should spend this weekend at the Fairmont after an evening at the xmas market.

I wasn't sleeping at first because of an uncomfortable bed and a sound from outside. Nicola investigated and really looked for solutions, she communicated promptly and explained her process. She offered a new mattress in the room or to move to another suite. The balance of my staff I slept perfectly and was amazed by the response and genuine concern for my satisfaction.

You helped make our daugter’s dream day come true. Everyone looked after us, our family and our guests in fine style. The food in reception Ballroom A was outstandIng. A small glitch in our soninlaw’s fav desert was missed, but you compensated handily for that. The ballroom mgr. was right on, but I forget her name...(she was polish) needs to be commended.

We arrived from a long journey from Thailand, spending one night in Vancouver before heading home to Edmonton. The room was on the top floor with gorgeous view of the shipyards and the mountains but the room was tired and old. The bathtub needs refinishing. The service and the food is typical 5 star Fairmont. Outstanding buffet breakfast and service. The room wasn't worth $400 and change. My understanding is that they're renovating from the bottom up. Should be the other way around you'd think as rooms are generally more expensive at height. Next time I'll stay at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver where the rooms are more recent.
