« I stayed at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport because of a missed flight. My experience was very good. »

Due to multiple flight delays, I missed a late connection and had to overnight in Vancouver. I elected to stay at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport, arriving at the room at midnight and departing at 6AM

Checked in online only to find that this had not actually be taken care of as it has in the past. No kiosk check in and had to wait in line at the front desk for 15 minutes. As a presidents club member I would have expected to be offered an upgraded room without asking especially in light the failed on line check in.

« Asked for a quiet room so I could sleep got woken up at 4 in the morning »

I absolutely loved everything about the hotel other than the most important thing. When I called and made the reservation and when I checked in I said all I wanted was a clean quiet room because I was exhausted, hadn’t slept well for a couple days and was desperate for a good night sleep before my flight home. Then I got WOKEN UP at 4 am by the people in the next room. Sounded like a couple of adults and a small child who maybe just checked in. The hotel was nowhere near full so why put someone in the room right next to me when all I wanted was to sleep? Finally at 4:30 I called down to the front desk but by that time I was wide awake and didn’t sleep after that. So disappointing! I had dinner in the lounge and breakfast in the restaurant and both meals were stellar. Servers were fantastic and the food was second to none but nothing can make up for the fact that I was woken up at 4 am when I didn’t need to be if the front desk hadn’t dropped the ball. Very upsetting and defeated the purpose of me reserving a room at the airport hotel In the first place.

I checked in late Saturday night 10:00 pm. Room was nice except the toilet was loud and ran constantly, had to turn it off at shutoff valve. No biggie. Slept great, bed was super comfortable. Up early at 6 AM for breakfast buffet, paid for ahead of time $31.00. Food was so-so, knats flying around uncovered muffins and croissants which weren't fresh rather stale, yuck. hot food items were just ok. Big serving dishes with lids and no place to put lids. Server behind counter didn't remove lids so I got to hold my plate and dish lid all while wishing I had an additional arm to serve my food. Anyway, it was to say the least clunky! coffee urn lid stuck which allowed coffee to go everywhere when I carefully attempted to pour it in my cup, didn't work. Service was slow and poor. I wasnt' offered water, dishes weren't taken away between trips to buffet. Had to catch my flight and never saw server again to get bill, good thing we had already paid for the overpriced buffet. Grabbed my luggage ran to front desk to checkout and woman at desk was a super unkind! Worst experience ever at a Fairmont hotel, would love my money back at least for the buffet.

Experience was great. This was our second time here and the experience was true to what we expected. The restaurant needs a few more "quiet areas" for romantic times. Having reserved seating for a different experience would bring this up to 10/10. Food as always, outstanding! Room with a view, king size bed, you can't go wrong.

I am a frequent guest of this hotel and Fairmont Presdident's Club member as well as Accor Club. When we checked in we were given the worst room I have ever seen at the hotel, right over the loading dock and roof deck on the south side. I asked to have the room changed and the receptionist was very good and took care of my request promptly. I was surprised there was no welcome amenity and also that I was placed in such a poor room given my frequency of staying in the hotel.

It's always a pleasure to stay at a Fairmont Property, courteous staff, excellent amenities. Overall it was enjoyable, the change room area by the gym/pool needed attention as there was discarded clothing, used towels and garbage on the floor.

« Nice locatation »

Unfortunaltly the mattress in our room had huge body pits in it. The right worst than left. Didn't sleep well at all, and had sore back. Not what you should get at a Fairmont. The check out person was nice about it and gave us 50% off our stay which was appreciated. However upon checking my Visa I was double charged for my stay. I called yesterday and was told it would be corrected.

Our stay was very nice overall. We like coming from our flight landing to the hotel. Our check in was quick. The room had a great view, beautiful bathroom and tasty coffee.
