« Good service, our son was catered for with his allergies. »

We really enjoyed our stay. Having stayed on the Gold floor 2 times before we felt our son always managed to get a wider selection of food as part of the Gold floor service I.e chicken prepared for him at evening canapés. Restaurants and breakfasts were excellent as usual, really impressed with my son having special crossiants made for him. Swimming pools and hot tubs are always an enjoyable experience.

We had booked with continental breakfast but one day some of us wanted to have instead of the continental breakfast just some fried egg with bacon (instead and not in addition). The service personnel tald us that this is not possible they would have to charge the egg additionally. This is not understandable and not at all consumer friendly.

As mentioned, the personnel are all extremely professional, friendly and hard working, In particular, Rolly who works in the food service area of the gold floor, Charmaine and Quincy on the concierge desk are outstanding in their roles. Housekeeping also does an amazing job of refreshing the rooms as well.

Enjoyed the hotel's gold sixth floor very much with exceptional service and delicious morning breakfast with many food options for our 6-year old and 4-year old(they loved the fruit options, chocolate croissants, eggs, and bacon). The rooms were well insulated and we slept very well absent of any neighboring noises at night. The view of the ocean was breathtaking and plenty of space and amenities in our suite. Friendly staff was very helpful with excursion questions and dinner reservations. Servers during breakfast would have the coffee on the table expeditiously, and the sugar cubes were a hit with our kids. The hotel would certainly excel if the staff would refer to the guest by Mr. and Mrs. and take the service to the next level. I did appreciate the reminder calls for luggage or transportation to the airport. I also loved the bar staff by the private beach as they would go out of their way to make the guests feel welcome. Overall a 5 star experience.

The major problem was check-in about 20.15 on Fri 28 Dec 2018. Having arrived on BA flight we had to wait 1/2 hr to check in. We were the only ones there to check in. After 10 minutes my nephew asked if this was a queue and we were told by the manager "I'm busy, you'll have to wait". (She was dealing with a complaint in FRONT of the desk from a guest, another young lady behind it.) This from a Manager at a Fairmont hotel!!! After another 15 mins we went up to the desk again and this time the young person dealt with us perfectly well. Other "little" irritations: I'd asked (a few days before arrival) for an empty fridge but it wasn't put in room. The next day I said forget it as too late. The day of arrival I asked for a roll-up bed for the night of 29th Dec for 1 night (I'd been told on my phone call a few days before this was what I should do)...took THREE times of asking before it arrived. Consequently it took THREE times of asking for it to be removed. Had to ask for a hairdrier. Interestingly, I asked why there was no dressing gown and told by another manager that you had to ask for one. Corkscrew missing also. Breakfast was very good and the waiters attentive, more so because I was there by 7.15am! Concierge very good; and a special thank you to Ayana in Royal Service. Great service having transport up and down to the main road/ferry/beach. Overall a very good stay in good part of the island. The booking said "no view" but that meant a view of the Great Sound out to Dockyard, much better than just South Shore beaches! Just wish the initial greeting was so poor--rather non-existent.

The staff was great. Spa was top notch. Pool was great! Taxi's and shuttle were awesome. Breakfast was okay and only did one day. We had issues with our door that never got fixed. If we had been from the East Coast of US we would have been more of a pain about it. Noise from motors below our deck. The beach area didn't have snorkels available. Which was a bummer.

My husband and I treated ourselves to a night at the hotel and a day at the Willowstream Spa. The treatments were wonderful, and the spa was great, but the larger hot tub wasn't hot at all and there were a few "dirty" bubbles floating around in it. We had a delicious dinner at Waterlot and a comfortable sleep. The morning of checkout, the shower room light wasn't working. We called, but no one came. Since we decided to forgo the shower and wait until we got home (we're local). we never went back into the room and ended up leaving our bathing suits hanging on the back of the door. Our fault for that, but still quite disappointing and I don't think they've been turned in at all. Still a great stay.
