Hotel needs better housekeeping management. Saw dropped food in hall days on end. Coffee maker in room but in 5! Days never any cups. Too many young children without a separate adult section in dining room or pool.

« the service on the 6th floor made my whole family (including my in laws and 2 year older) daughter feel welcomed and special. »

it rained must of the time we were in bermuda. however, the breakfast on the 6th floor, the incredible staff that made my family feel welcomed and important was a great way to start each day. I have a 2 year old who they also made a point to recognize and interact with. This makes the hotel stand out - truly a customer oriented, first class hotel. they made our experience and we will be coming back.

« Overpriced with lackluster customer service »

Even though we had a discounted room rate, we were still charged an extra $150 in extra fees. Upon check in, our room was dirty and we had to clean it with Clorox wipes before unpacking. The crib we ordered for our baby was dirty and the mattress was limp. I had to order an extra mattress to give adequate support. Even though the staff was nice, it does not make up for the outrageous prices and dirty/outdated accommodations.

Entire family had a great time. Hotel was great, restaurants were fantastic and extremely easy and accommodating for my son with food allergies, put his parents at ease during the vacation. Due to a high occupancy during our stay, our two rooms couldn’t be close together or adjoining but that was the only issue we dealt with during our visit. Thank you to the entire staff.

« Very disappointing »

We arrived and as of 5:00pm are two rooms were still not available. We then were giving a different room that smelled horrible and then were given another room that was on the opposite side of the building from our children when we were suppose to be in connecting rooms! We also had mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom. There was no exhaust system. The TV did not display the channels of the correct TV stations. For example the TV would say it was fox news but it was a cartoon. The air conditioning did not work right the room was so humid everyday. There was rust on the chairs on the balcony and the cushions were filthy. There was dust all over the furniture and housekeeping never were consistent. We had many days where there was no floor matt, face clothes of hand towels. The list goes on and on. The service at the Waterlot restaurant was horrific. They messed up our orders, the waiter did not know what he was doing it took 3 1/2 hours to get all our food!

« Room and restaurants were great. Food and drinks overpriced and hotel needed some updates/improvements »

All staff very very friendly and courteous. Our room was a nice size and nicely decorated. While all the restaurants were good and atmosphere was nice, food and drinks were so over priced it did feel like you were being taken advantage of. Love the different dining options, beach was convenient and beautiful. Overall our stay was wonderful. 2 quick things- staff should have country of where they are from on their name tags. Good for conversation and to Learn about different cultures. A walking path at the hotel would be great, my husband and I wanted to walk after dinner but their were no places to do so. Seemed a lot of people were looking to do the same.

« Our stay at the Fairmont was perfect - very relaxing and really enjoyed the high quality service at the resort. »

We truly enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly and excellent. A few small thoughts - we couldn't understand why there were 2 members of the staff opening the interior front door and no one at the exterior front door. Additionally, while the hotel is amazing, the furniture and rooms are feeling a little dated.

« Nice location but very disappointing service and overall stay »

We were looking very forward to our stay, and we enjoyed the location of the property. However, we encountered a number of issues--a few in particular which I'll mention below. I generally wouldn't complain, but our stay in Bermuda was salvaged by staying at another resort on the island, for nearly the same price we paid at the Fairmont. The difference in our experience was incredibly striking. Issues: 1. Front desk - upon check in, we were provided no information regarding navigating the hotel, which is quite large. We even had to return to the front desk to ask where to go to grab a bite for lunch at the hotel. The bellmen ended up being more helpful than the front desk in providing recommendations 2. Food and service - we tried nearly all of the dining options offered by the resort, and we were not impressed with any of the meals. Regarding service, during one lunch at the beach restaurant, a waiter asked if we would like a round of drinks. We declined, and a few minutes later he points at me, in front of a group of 5 or 6 other tables, and exclaims "you should order a drink". It was very uncomfortable and just an example of the service we received 3. Maintenance - one of our biggest issues is that my wife fell to the floor when walking into the women's restroom on the mezzanine level. There was no wet floor sign in the restroom, and she fell to the ground, bruising one knee 4. Room noise - while it is no fault of the hotel for guest behavior, the walls in the hotel are paper thin. We loudly heard both bedroom activities and fights during our stay in two different rooms. We travel weekly for work, and this was a first for both of us Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our stay. Based on our experience, we will not be recommending this hotel to our family and friends. We look forward to returning to Bermuda but not to the Fairmont.

Beach great. Food excellent. Service at front desk was poor. Was placed into occupied room. Sent to other room but keys didnt work. Room wasn’t ready. Room i was first in was nice. Room ai ended up in was dated and had no drawers for clothes. Bathroom was newly remodeled. Hidden charges and fees were about 30% of room charge. Sneaky and in bad taste. Pool area dated and did not take advantage of view. Water slide was not sliding.

We enjoyed ourselves, however Housekeeping was always late to clean our rooms. We waited over 2 1/2 Hours to check in to our rooms. When you traveled all day, and you reach your final destination, it would be nice to get into your room in a timely manner Twice we decided to forgo on having the rooms to be cleaned. It appears the Hotel is short staffed in Housekeeping Department. It would be nice to see the food menus change during the week.

« Not quite what I expected »

The hotels rooms were comfortable and well kept. the one issue I had was on our final night we sat in the balcony overlooking the pool for dinner. there was a group of 8 of us. The waiter was fantastic (Hazem) and the food was decent. My wife cut her mouth on a piece of glass that broke in her mouth. It cut the inside of her lip she was bleeding. My wife handed the broken glass to the manager. The bar manager was gracious and removed a round of drinks. My understanding was the bar manager was going to speak with the hotel manager on this issue but we did not receive a call nor any communication from senior management at the hotel. I have a review to send on a couple of social media sites but have not sent it yet as I still feel annoyed about the whole situation.

First and foremost I would like to apologize for the inconvenience and rest assured that the restaurant manager did bring this to my attention as we take these matters very serious. I'm afraid that it must have been due to miscommunication that I didn't reach out to you directly, it wasn't his or my understanding that you were awaiting a further response after he followed up with you. The incident was very unfortunate and by no means should this have happened. We have gone through an extensive training and checked all our glassware, to ensure we spot even the tiniest of cracks or rough edges. We've concluded that it was an isolated incident, which could have occurred due to uncareful handling of the glassware.
