thought turn down service could have done a better job straightening up the room. the concierge who told us to walk to the lighthouse dinner we had failed to tell us to stay on the right side of the road when walking there and i was almost hit by a van. staff for morning breakfast on gold floor were great! felt like the wait staff in the gold area and in Mediterra were working so hard, appeared they needed more help. dive shop and staff were awesome. beach staff were also awesome.

For the most part, we enjoyed our stay. Shuttle service was a plus and staff was very helpful. Our room service was pretty good, although we didn’t have new robes to replace what was used and we asked for a complimentary paper each morning, we received it only twice. The worst was the conventions going on. Too many people, too noisy and chaotic. They monopolized everything and it was very intimidating to get in a shuttle filled with business men and women. We are retired and would have liked a slower pace and not dealing with rushing to get a seat or place in line at the coffee bar. They just took over the whole place. We will never stay during a convention again. As a side note, we were there celebrating our 50th anniversary and didn’t even receive one complimentary drink. We were always asked if we were celebrating anything but apparently it didn’t matter.

We stayed at the Southampton for three nights. The hotel is beautiful and very picturesque and lovely. We felt welcome and everyone was extremely friendly. A slight snafu with check in but after that we had a great time. We especially liked the shuttles to the beachfront and a few restaurants on property as it made it easy to get around. We cant wait to come back !

We loved the hotel and location. The one drawback was the private beach. The first two days on the beach were great but the remainder of the trip was terrible. Piles and piles of seaweed washed ashore. I understand that you can’t help Mother Nature but the hotel should have removed it off the beach. Horseshoe bay beach had the same issue but they did remove it with tractor.

Great property, but room wasn't ready when I arrived after 3 pm. They said I would get a text when the room as ready it never came, so at 5:30 pm I went to the front desk and got the key to my room with no mention of why they didn't send a text. When checking out there was a no-show charge on my bill.

Very beautiful place. I didn't appreciated some things: 1) the room cleaning (much dust) and in the bathroom I found some hairs on the wall of the bathtub. 2) The bottle of water sited outside of the refrigerator is always for free, in all the hotels worldwide; I didn't find easily information that explain that the bottle of water was at 10$ each; furthermore with sensor for pickup. 3) Breakfast: is not clear that some foods (for example "pancakes") have additional costs. For your future improvement.

I come here every year for a conference and look forward to returning again, maybe for a vacation if I can find some affordable rates. There are faces I have seen for years, Wyndham, the bartender who leaves me with a smile every time, and new people, Shauntai, at the concierge desk, who is an absolute delight! The only thing that kept this from being a 10 was the bath smelled of mildew the entire time and I stepped on piece of glass in the bathroom. To be fair, there is no way the housekeeping staff could have seen the tiny piece that my foot found, some previous occupant may have broken a glass. The shower area is an HVAC issue, which I understand is hard to control in a property this large.

The staff was always helpful and went out of their way to make sure your stay was great. Top notch staff and we have stayed at some amazing 5 star hotels. We were expecting opulence and what we got was old and tired with bugs thrown in the mix. Not worth the price we paid and we got a break because we were part of a conference. We could hear the people next door “ getting busy” and thumper on the floor above woke us up a few times. Disappointing, so we would not recommend the hotel because of this.

Our stay was very relaxing! The rooms were spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the lighthouse. The restaurants were excellent. I do wish Wickets was open later so we could have grabbed just a burger and salad sitting buy the pool at night. We did use room service several times it was wonderful and the staff were very polite and efficient. Our overall experience was outstanding. A very well run resort, your staff seems to really want to make all guests have the best experience possible. We have been coming to Bermuda for 31 years and the last five years at Fairmont twice a year and are very happy with all our stays.

Pros-Overall, excellent location and hotel being comfortable, clean, and having access to many things. Probably would return again for another experience. Anniversary trip and hotel sent chocolate strawberries which we very much appreciated. Concierge servers were excellent! Cons-A little dated with decor. Some concierge and desk help were excellent and others meh??? The first night we arrived very late and were put in a room next to noisy doors of concierge lounge and our balcony stared at concierge lounge. Woken up at 6:00 AM with sliding doors so we had to ask to change room, and also didn't sleep enough. Huge inconvenience since we kept valuables on us at the beach and had to pack and unpack everything once the new room was ready. Anniversary trip and hotel sent chocolate strawberries though which we very much appreciated. We hope to try the Fairmont again soon!

Good service on the Gold floor; terrible service everywhere else

The hotel was underwhelming but the location was perfect. I wouldn’t rate this hotel as five star, but more 3.5 star. It needs a renovation and the main floor staff needs training on how to be more hospitable. Food options were decent but pricey. My room was fine but very noisy. For the money I paid, I would rather stay at the Rosewood (better service and amenities). Pros: the service on the gold floor was amazing. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They brought us food everyday with a smile despite working very long hours. Cons: Service outside the gold floor was terrible! The main floor concierge was rude and unhelpful. I asked if they had a list of activities for the day and they told me to look at the screen (which wasn’t helpful since it flashed the whole week’s activities). I specifically asked about the beach walk and they didn’t even know it was happening. They were dismissive and smug. The WORST service I ever experienced was at the beach by the lady who ran the towel booth. She ran out of towels and snapped at me for even asking for one. One morning the booth was empty so I waited until a few mins when a nice gentleman came to help me. He went in to get towels but the mean lady came running to the booth yelling at us because she thought we were stealing the towels. She then noticed someone else was there to help us and stopped yelling but didn’t even apologize for her rudeness. I’m not a child and don’t deserve to be accused or reprimanded. She should really be put into the back where she doesn’t interact with guests. The hotel room itself was fine but we were next to service elevator and we could hear the “swish” of the elevators go up and down.

We enjoyed the beautiful location and the welcoming and attentive service at the Fairmont! All of the accommodations were first class and all services excellent. We enjoyed the private beach, the pool and the Water Aerobics, restaurants, evening music in the bar, transportation, etc. We are anxious to return soon!
