« Rooms were tired - Front desk staff was not informed properly »

Stay was fine - room was tired and not up to date. We were charged our entire stay before arriving and wanted to change the credit card upon check in. We had both cards with us and was told it was taken care of. When checking out - it seemed that the original card was never credited (and we had to ask about it) and was told that they needed the card to make the switch (mind you the alternate card was ALSO charged). There was a note on our file saying that the card was needed - but - no message was left for us during our 2 day stay about this and frankly had we not asked - it would not have been done since we would have left with our card in hand. Not only was this not right and annoying - but never heard from anyone with an apology. Frankly - it colored our stay in the negative. I am a Platinum Elite Member of Marriott and have had over 120 hotel nights so far this year and wanted to give the Fairmont a shot - but the poor front desk experience checking in and out - and the clearly tired room was very disappointing to say the least. Your bellman and car valet services were great - but the rest - lackluster. The rooms need an upgrade given the level of hotel that you present.

« Nice stay even though expensive and the room was dated. »

Spent two nights for wife’s birthday. Beautiful grounds, very nice staff. Room was a bit dated but acceptable. Big disappointment was Bourbon Steak restaurant. Wagyu steak was chewy and should have been sent back. BTW, even though they knew it was a birthday dinner, no recognition. Overall nice get-away even if overly expensive.

As I stated above the facility is extremely nice. The personnel were very attentive and accommodating to every request. I did not like the fact the internet access was an add on charge and being that I was there for a conference, no free internet access even in the conference area was a huge negative. I feel if the total room charge exceed $300+/night, charging for internet is a major negative.

One of the best resort experiences I've ever had. The staff I encountered were second to none. Marine at the hotel pool was fantastic. She and Daniel went above and beyond. Ygor at La Hacienda bar has a personality that matches his skills as a bartender. If your resort was closer to my home it would be my new "go to" destination. I can't express how impressed my team was by Ygor.

« Well appointed room, but not great service »

It seems to me that excellent service and value (regardless of the price) are the key things a resort should provide to its guests. The grounds of Fairmont Princess were absolutely beautiful, that level of attention and detail should be paid to maintenance in the rooms and quality of service. I was attending a conference at the hotel and had to present the morning I checked out. I asked if I could extend my checkout to 1:00 and was given a well rehearsed response - due to occupancy levels, we cannot extend checkout times. I understand and appreciate the desire to have rooms available to turn as efficiently as possible, but for a "5 star resort" I would expect a higher level of service than I would receive at Hampton Inn. And, although its not top tier, I am Silver with Accor hotels and one of the "benefits" is late check out. Along the lines of value, charging a room rate and then hiding extra fees in "housekeeping fee" and "porterage fee" is ridiculous. Especially since no one ever touched my bag and $4 extra for housekeeping is just silly. If you are going to charge extra fees, at least provide service for those fees. My first experience with this hotel was not good and I hope that you will take the feedback and consider improving your service and providing actual value for the fees you charge.

We wanted a relaxing, romantic and fun weekend getaway for our babymoon and anniversary. Concierge went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable and memorable. I had flowers delivered to the room on short notice, extra pillows for my wife (she’s pregnant) and everyone was super attentive. The resort was beautiful and we had a great time. Can’t wait to come back with our family during Christmas time!

« The perfect long weekend golf get-away »

We escaped the cold fall weather in Calgary for a three-night stay at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, it was a perfect long weekend get-away. It was our first visit to this Fairmont property but it won't be our last. The resort is beautiful and well worth walking around at least once. Our room had a lovely view over the pool and the 5th hole at TPC Scottsdale (which we golfed during our visit), and we spent most evenings on the deck sipping wine and relaxing. All the staff - from front line to groundskeepers to restaurant staff - were friendly and helpful, and definitely elevated our experience. We particularly enjoyed our dinner at La Hacienda and the exceptional recommendations and good sense of humour of our server Angel A. (you're right, the hummus trio is fantastic). Thanks so much for making it very difficult for us to leave on Monday morning. Now to figure out when we can come back!

We stayed in the casitas but the people above us were extremely loud and kept us up all night every night. It was our honeymoon and wanted some romantic time together but found it hard with the people upstairs. As well, the AC would not come on at night and left me and my new husband dying of heat in the middle of the night. With how much we paid for the room I was hoping for a better experience. With that being said, the staff was amazing and quick to help with whatever we needed. The restaurants were divine and food was 5 stars. We had champagne and a card waiting for us in our room which was a nice after a 7 hour drive in.
