« Wonderful, except for the spa »

As usual, the hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed the gold club and the staff there is absolutely amazing, but the spa was extremely disappointing this trip. The massage therapist had rough fingernails with a hangnail that left one of us with scratches all over the neck and shoulders that swelled up. Being in the spa industry, I know sometimes it is necessary to do a check on your massage therapist’s nails. When you’re paying that much at a luxury spa, you would expect that to be done. Very disappointing. I’m so sorry to say. Also, there was a group of girls in both the sauna and the rooftop pool that made the relaxation areas less than enjoyable. They should be quiet areas, for relaxation and meditation, so maybe a sign posted would help? I heard a lot of guests complaining about the same particular areas. We really love the Fairmont princess and will continue to visit, but the spa needs a little attention.

We recently stayed to celebrate my parents 75th birthdays and the Fairmont Gold team made us feel so special. Also, great experiences for us at Bourbon Steak and La Hacienda. Excellent food and service.

« Good Setting for a Mother/Daughter Weekend »

This was a mother and 3 adult daughter weekend reunion getaway. We enjoyed staying all together in a casita. We left one evening for dinner in Scottsdale, then decided that it was more enjoyable to eat on your campus. We had active hiking each morning on the wonderful local hikes and enjoyed relaxed spa time in the afternoons.

« No longer meets the value that you pay the extra for »

Nothing blatantly wrong. The little things are no longer happening. Service is slipping and the facilities are getting warn out and repairs/replacements are being attended to. Lights are out plumbing fixtures broken ect.

Nice restaurants and bars. The finishes of the rooms was obviously sloppy. The bumpy tiles in the walkways was very loud and I felt like I was waking up anyone trying to sleep

« Disappointing »

This is a resort, and we paid a lot for the amenities. In all honesty, I did not use the amenities and maybe that would have dramatically have changed my perception. However, the hotel experience was pretty disappointing for the price range. The room was serviceable, but pretty dated. The shower was cold 3 of the 5 days I was there, the overhead heat lamp turned on but did not actually heat the bathroom. The hotel is sprawling. It was a 10 minute trip from the lobby to my room - that doesn’t sound like a problem except that I had to run back and fourth four or five times a day. The staff was very nice. The amenities in the room were pretty standard.

Gorgeous property, nice rooms. When we first walked into our room there was poop in the toilet and on the toilet seat, which was bizarre since the rest of the room was immaculate. Really gross and not Something that you would expect from such a nice place!

« great facility and service, unpleasant odor on the entire 2nd floor of building G for two days »

Overall, I thought that the facilities (spa/gym, pools), rooms, restaurant, location, and service were all great. The first evening there, a crib and a diaper bin sat outside a room down the hall (I was in room 2208). They remained there for some time and there was a pervasive, offensive smell throughout the floor for the following two days. This was never addressed by management.

« Ridiculously expensive »

The facilities were nice and the staff was pleasant, however, everything was terrifically overpriced. We did not choose to stay here and as meeting facilitators were given a Casita as our room. It was too far from our meeting space and too big for just 2 people. We changed to a standard room, 3010, and that felt much more reasonable.

« Nice hotel. Not easy to find rooms »

The hotel room was nice, clean, well equipped. The bed prob needs to be replaced - it had a large sinkhole in it. The grounds are very pretty. My real prob was. I couldn’t find my room. Building B! No signs no anything to help guide you. I was very annoyed after my long flight to walk around trying to find my room The girl at checkin was very nice and offered someone to help me. I said no and she said. Just Go out the doors and to the left. Well. It may of been my fault for not asking the bellhop to help me. But the hotel really needs to add signs for this building. Other wise I enjoyed my stay and will be back for my next Spear course.

« Beautiful facility »

Only negative was .....I came in late Wed and discovered my room did not have functioning heat and there were no blankets in closet,woke up repeatedly only to discover cold air blowing out of vents.Temp was 62 when I got up They did repair system while I was at class. No one seemed too concerned when I mentioned it.

« Very beautiful place and great experience »

Tournament weekend was so very hectic and everyone made it extremely pleasant and stay was great. However they placed us in room above the bar where the music was extremely loud because of the event. Didn't mind the music but the room wasn't tolerable with it being that loud. They moved us upon request and everything was fine. Overall stay was great.
