« Underimpressed, particularly at the price point »

It was fine, but not great. The general attitude seemed to be to prevent us from enjoying ourselves. That started with the valet as we pulled up and then continued through a 90 minute check-in process.

« A slight slip from perfection »

While I always like the Fairmont, this time there were a few hiccups. Our room was oddly cleaned. Room service was slow -- and one time entirely wrong. Drinks at the pool were extremely slow (though Sarah was amazing) and the areas around pool chairs was often left cluttered and messy including drinks, food, etc. Incredible yoga class. Spa is always terrific.

« An amazing beach vacation nowhere near the beach! »

We had an awesome girls long weekend in Sunny Arizona at the Scottsdale Fairmount Princess. Our room was perfect for the four of us to share, with three places to sleep (two of us doubling up), two bathroom sinks and loads of counterspace and a huge walkin closet. And having the selection of all the various pools gave us an awesome place to go each day to relax in the sun. Mojitos and service were awesome too! We'll be back!

« Disappointed. »

We expected a higher level of customer service, better food and overall higher caliber of a resort than we experienced.

« Amazing »

We booked a four night stay for my husbands 40th bday! We absolutely loved everything about the Fairmont! The grounds were stunning and the service was outstanding! We were not completely satisfied with our room initially in terms of location and updates but Sean the manager on duty without hesitation offered us a room in a gorgeous upgraded section of the hotel! We loved it and would return in the future! Gorgeous grounds, scenery and outstanding service!

« Just one Complaint »

It was a girls weekend away and we had the best time until Saturday night when we went to the Plaza Bar to watch the Golden State Warriors game before we had a reservation at the Bourbon Steakhouse at 8pm.. 4 Screens at the Plaza bar had the Arizona College foot ball game on and the other screen below as well. So we asked the bartender if he could switch one screen to the Warriors Game and he said NO! "Everybody wants to watch the football game". On our side there was only one person (we asked) who watched the game. So we bought a drink and were definitely not happy. The bartenders need to realize that not everybody is from Arizona and interested in their college game. So we went to the Steak House which also had 2 screens and they also said that they would not switch it. For a 5 Star hotel that is extremely inconsiderate. I advised the lady who checked us out who was very, very nice and she took off the 2 drinks we had at the Plaza Bar. I just wanted to advise you since if this happened to my clients they would not be as forgiving. Overall the resort is wonderful and the service great, we loved it and will be back

« My room didn’t lock. »

I paid $300 a night and couldn’t get a locked room until night time. The entire morning/afternoon, I had to share my room with an engineer who was trying to fix the lock. Then I find out I was charged $24 for a baggage fee, but I carried my own bags. If you’re going to charge someone regardless if they use the service, you need to tell them that you’re charging them. Absolutely ridiculous for such an expensive hotel not to get me into a secure room until nighttime. I will never again stay at the Fairmont, I’ve never had these problems at the Phoenician. I wasted my money and time dealing with my room situation.

« Lovely resort, but once the myriad of taxes (not disclosed until check out) and fees were added to the stay the overall cost was not commensurate with the level of luxury; rather the cost exceeded the level of quality. »

Overall good experience. Lighting in bathroom was insufficient. Tub valve for hot did not work last evening and no time to call maintenance when I wanted a bath at that time, not an hour later or the next am. Overpriced for the room if one was not taking advantage of the golf and other amenities, but merely going to the meetings and dining. Nail salon could only do regular manicures-no acrylic or gel, and this was not stated when I made the call for the repair.

« Good stay »

We had a good experience, the resort is beautiful and the staff is great. Our only problem was that this was a getaway trip for my wife and I to rest and relax and no one told us that there was construction going on right outside of our room (6114) and the workers started hammering away and using the saws even before 7:00 AM which made it somewhat annoying. If we had known about this we would have more than likely requested a different room in another area of the resort.

« We always have wonderful experiences when at the property as it all starts with the staff. »

From the time we walk thru the door until we leave we have a great time. The property is beautiful, the staff outstanding, all room categories excellent. There is an activity available for any age person staying at the Princess.

« Hotel amenities were nice, location was nice, BUT I got eaten up by bedbugs room 2083. »

I really liked everything about the hotel. Nice onsite dining and lounge. Picturesque views, and the rooms were large. But, I personally have never had a bedbug encounter before in my life - ever. I've stayed at my share of 3 star motels, and I've never had a bedbug encounter. For this to be a resort labeled 5 star (my reference on 5 star is Ritz Carlton Atlanta, Sea Island/Cloister, Waldorf Astoria Bonnett Creek) I'm literally scratching my head - pun intended. Please send maintenance or engineering to room 2083 and inspect it before someone else has to deal with what I've been dealing with the last few days (i.e. itching and welps). This was my first visit here and to Scottsdale. I was attending a class at Spear Education. I will be back to Spear, but Fairmont has to make sure this never happens again or I feel compelled to make the Spear faculty aware of the conditions at what appears to be their favored recommendation on accommodations. Honestly, I'm not one to complain - this is the first time I have ever had this experience, so imagine my horror.

« Two pool days-Gorgeous suite after my long booking »

I called American Express Platinum to book - they state Best rate guaranteed. As I was on the phone with her I found it for half the price she quoted for a casita. I continued to Call Central reservations-same experience! Finally I booked it mysel. When I arrived Ryan was great! He gave me two options to upgrade to the casitas. Our stay was great. Beautiful property and fun place to celebrate my Birthday!!

« Nice but not great »

Everything good but room service needs attention. Dirty dishes at the front door when we arrived at 10:00 pm. Long delivery times with incomplete order (no salt or pepper for eggs at breakfast) with a long time to correct the order so everything was cold once salt and pepper arrived. Wrong newspaper delivered, and then our room service breakfast we finished and put out side our door was moved to the room with the ice maker room where it remained overnight and was partially removed 24 hours after we finished it and only after I called room service to have it picked up. Then they still left a few items which were still there when we checked out.. People delivering the food were friendly and the food was good but that is about all I can say about room service at your resort.
