Fantastic experience - HOWEVER, very loud music very late into the night was not ideal. At a minimum, the front desk should give the ocean-facing guests a heads up that it will be very loud late into the night.

I was really pleased with my stay until the AM of my last day when I discovered one of my personal toiletry items was missing. I am sure that I did not misplace it, and upon check out, brought the issue up to the front desk. They said they would check with the housekeeping management, but their attitude indicated lack of concern. I never heard from them, or results.

First room was above the nightclub. Jetlagged and trying to sleep, I asked to move at 11PM when the noise was unbearable. AT first they said they had no more rooms but when I said I would sleep in the hall, they "found" another room.

We preregistered to let the hotel know we would be arriving late due to our flight times. They placed us in the appropriate category of room in the Palisades part of the building which we historically really liked, bigger rooms. Upon check we sensed something was amiss. They offer to put us in the Ocean tower but the rooms are much smaller. When we arrived I. Our room and after the bellman had left we discovered the issue. The air conditioning was out and did not work. On our way to dinner we stopped but the front desk and there had been a change in shift. That group said they would send maintenance up to our room. After dinner we checked back with the desk personnel and they said the u it could not be fixed and ended a part. They then offered to put us in a bungalow which they did. The unit was near the entrance to that area so it was pretty loud. We found the recent updates to the decor of the palisades rooms was a real downgrade. The paint etc made the rooms feel cheap. After years of staying at the hotel which dates back to our children attended college there I do t think we will stay there anymore. The staff as very nice and tried to accommodate us but we felt misled in check in.

My favorite part was the personal touch of the wake up calls. Least favorite parts where being given the wrong room number on my room keys pouch and finding used dental floss on the bathroom counter. The street noise was not great either

So-so. We were in the old part of the hotel. The room looked and felt run down. The mattress on the pull out bed was terribly hard and had no padding at all. I felt bad that my kids had to sleep on it. The menu doesn’t have enough variety and the overall cost of food was way overpriced for what it was. The full size mattresses were comfortable. The steak at Fig was sub par and chewy, and once again overpriced. We’ve stay at this hotel before several times without our kids and really enjoyed it. The room quality itself was the biggest disappointment.

Inattentive and Loud room

I arrived around 1:30pm to check in. I checked in at the front desk and was told I was lucky, that even though it was before official check-in time at 3pm, my room was ready and just needed to be double checked by housekeeping. I provided my phone number for notification when it was ready and sat down in the lounge across the hall from the check-in desk. There was a couple also sitting in the lounge waiting for their room. After 45 minutes, one of the desk attendants came over and gave the couple the key to their room. After receiving no text message or signal from the desk attendants, I approached the desk at 3:15 to check on the status. The same attendant that helped me when I arrived gave mock surprise that I never received a text message saying my room was ready. He took my name again and gave me my key and a coupon for a drink at the bar. I expected the same amount of service the couple next to me received, where once my room was ready (and I didn't respond to the "supposed" text message), that my key was brought to me. I was in line-of-sight from the front desk and I waited for an hour and a half for my room. Additionally, I received a room on the ground floor, on the street. Both the street noise, and pedestrian traffic was extremely loud. I couldn't have my blinds open without having people from the street being able to see me, so I had to leave them closed and dark in the room the entire time I was there.

Was nice hotel. No issues. The staff in the lobby restaurant was not very efficient or pleasant when had breakfast on 6/1/19.

From check in to check out, everything was smooth and well-orchestrated. My room was phenomenal, and I enjoyed my accommodations at the Fairmont. The only thing that could have been a smidge better was the speed of service at breakfast - as a business traveler and not a vactioner, I would have appreciated a faster and more expedient breakfast experience. However, I was still able to make my meetings on time, so it wasn't a substantial challenge.

We arrived very early and the desk put a rush on our room and let us know they would text when it was ready. Door service was helpful with the bags and we enjoyed coffee outside while waiting. The room was a nice size, comfortable bed, and every detail was well attended, including bringing a few forgotten toiletries to the room...everyone was friendly, professional and courteous.
