The hotel was very nice, the rooms extremely clean. I didn't have time to try out the pool and Jacuzzi, but it looked clean as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My only complaints: horrible WiFi (shame on Michael Dell -a tech guy), I’ve been there 3 times (each stay 3-5 days) in the past 2 months and the elevators still aren’t working at full capacity, house keeping was still using guest elevators 10 days ago. Now for the great staff. I Travel alone and the staff at the fairmont is always fabulous, friendly, warm and so helpful. Juventino, Fernando and Artur at the lobby bar always remember what I like to drink and eat. They are always attentive not only with me but with my son and his girlfriend when they join me at the hotel. Juventino even remembers my son’s and his girlfriend’s favorite drink. The entire staff always makes me feel comfortable and truly at home. Thank you everyone.

The best hotel experience I've ever had! By day two so many of the breakfast room employees knew my name and brought apple juice without my asking i was in SHOCK. (I had told commented the previous morning that I was allergic to the orange juice.) I also had the smoothest check-in/check-out and my luggage was held without issue. Flawless service!

Love the hotel and have stayed there close to 10 times. A highlight was the sense of home the hotel has. A great lobby environment, exercise classes, a barber shop, plus a wonderful restaurant and a great bar. But a true highlight was the free coffee in the early morning and sitting in the bar/lobby area. It was a wonderful blend of locals and travelers, and gave you a sense of home while being on the road. Now the hotel has a coffee shop so no free coffee which leads to no locals, no travelers and the sense of home is lost. Sorry to see it go - a truly highlight and delight as a traveler.

All the staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful. We hosted a reception the night before our son's wedding in the lobby lounge and the staff went above our expectations. Juanita was our server and was so attentive to our guests and family. The drinks and appetizers were beautifully presented and they even moved us into a private room towards the end of our party. We were so pleased and got wonderful feedback from our guests. Everyone enjoyed it. We loved the breakfasts in the morning and staying by the pool. Some of us used the beauty salon for makeup and hair before the wedding and we were very pleased with that too. Thank you!

Visiting your property is a enjoyable experience your staff is warm and inviting. My only complaint would be the Fig restaurant the service staff are kind and friendly, the food sounds good on paper and fell short as it did our prior trip. Perhaps it’s my fault for having an expectation because it was disappointing. On a positive note the Chocolate chip cookies were wonderful we took an order for our ride home.

It was easy to walk to Santa Monica Pier and enjoy the oceanside park along the way. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The ambiance throughout the hotel was great; from the lounge area in the lobby to the shops and restaurants in the hotel. I really enjoyed the food at The Fig!

Fairmont appears to be penny piching, lack of personnel caused delays to room service, housheeping and valet. No coffee in morning lounge is cheap and a turnoff. To pay a resort fee and not provide this luxuy that has been a manstay for 20 years is pathetic. Mens shower has no razors, deodorant or supplies unless you ask When you go to shave after shower undressed and have to walk out into public and asl for supplies is ridiculoues. This was never the program.

The hotel location and facilities were great. My room location on the third floor facing an intersection that was popular with drunk people who yelled at each other at 2 in the morning was not. My expectation for a quality hotel would be more effective soundproofing for a low level floor facing the street.
