« The staff was great the room so-so »

I was very impressed with the staff. They were kind and helpful. The room was not as expected. I had a shower that leaked all the time. Also the room never cooled off. As well, I did not receive my email bill. Lastly, my Son went to the Grill on Sunday night with my Sister. They waited 20 minutes and were not acknowledged by the staff. They are both part African American which I assume had nothing to do with this.

« Wonderful weekend stay »

We attended a friend daughter's wedding. It was an exciting event meeting friends from high school but the hotel's ambiance and location made it even more exciting and superb. There are lots of restaurants around it. The check-in was so easy with Perla. She was really nice and very helpful with all our questions. Excellent and wonderful stay over all.

« Ok experience »

There's no toiletry amenities. The lobby is extremely noisy. Check-in and check-out had difficulties. At check-in, confusion with Booking.com which I was asked to call Booking myself when I've already showed confirmation on my phone instead of fixing the problem directly. Then at check-out, I was wrongly charged cancellation fee which should have already been clarified at check-in.

« Comfortable Stay »

This was my second stay at the Fairmont and each time was wonderful. The facilities are clean and updated. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location is close to many amenities, restaurants and attractions.

« Not as smooth as usual »

Upon check in our keys didn't work had to lug our badges back downstairs and have keys reissued! Our refrigerator was leaking and it was never address even though they said they would. Additionally, there were two drinks missing and I was charged for them!

I stay with the Fairmont fairly regularly for both business and pleasure, and have never been disappointed regardless of which location I'm at. The accommodations and service make you remember how staying in a hotel should feel. In fact, my wife and I love the Fairmont so much, we got married there ;)

I enjoy staying at the Fairmont. I was surprised this visit that there was no bottled water offered on top of the dresser, nor were there any wine glasses. Below average. The tub was not cleaned during my stay, although it had been used.

« Great hotel, signing up for the Presidential Club was a pain and unsuccessful »

Great hotel, very clean and nice staff. Setting up for the presidential club on desktop or mobile was tedious and frustrating so I eventually gave up, very poorly designed, better not to have anything with it being that bad.

Everything was clean and reasonably fresh, the staff was nice and overall it was okay. But there was a mixup with our rooms upon arrival which was a bit stressful. And how come you do not offer free wifi? Such an expensive room and no wifi. That is a total disgrace. That will be a cause for me not to recommend a stay at the Fairmont.

« Nice hotel, but the age shows in the infrastructure »

I stayed at the Fairmont San Jose as an attendee of a conference at the convention center, which is a relatively short walk away. The location is nice, backing up to an area rich in restaurants. The room was good, with a nice view of the city skyline as well. However, the WifI (which is an additional expense on top of the room) was so poor as to require that I do work from the convention center after hours rather than working from my hotel room.

« it was underwhelming. »

i was under the impression that the fairmont was an upscale hotel. i was disappointed when i realized that i had to flush the toilet with my foot like i was at a Target or something. The showerhead was less than satisfactory, very sharp spray. At one point one of the shower gaskets fell off and resulted in a stream that resembled water coming from a yard hose. Engineering fixed it but replaced with the cheap shower head again that was like needle spray. The rose scented shampoo and conditioner were obnoxious and too odorous for me.

« Great location – but hotel needs to up its game for the price point »

I loved the location of the hotel. Easy access to the San Jose convention center. For the amount paid per night, I see this hotel as a premier destination. It took several calls to the front desk to get all the loose plumbing fixed. These are items the cleaning staff would have noticed on the even a basic refresh of the room. The front desk didn't have basic toiletry items When the gift shop was closed. The rooftop pool was amazing, but the infrastructure was clearly dated and in need of a refresh

« Wasp sting! »

It was wonderful. We enjoyed the room, the scents of the lotion body wash etc, the bed, the pool. I got stung by a wasp out by the pool though. Ouch! We noticed 4-5 others. So maybe some wasp traps would be ideal up there.

« nice quiet room »

the only problem was with the cleanliness of the glass wall in the shower. It was streaky and not fully cleaned - lots of hard water build up near the bottom of the pane.

My check in was a breeze with friendly faces and an offer for a tour through the hotel. The room seemed a bit run down (Chips in desk and dust) and very noisy. Noisy in the sense the pipes in the bathroom moved so much it caused the Toilet to move. When I called downstairs, earplugs were offered and a possible change to the room if need be. The room they were going to switch me to had two beds instead of one, so that was a no go. My internet kept putting me in away status and cutting me off. When I called the "Royal Service" about getting me fixed, a woman suggested the Presidents program. When I declined the woman condescendingly and abruptly said," you want to pay 13.95 a day for your internet service?" I replied, "No, but do you think I should pay for something that is not working right". She replied, No.. and then switched me to Tech line to discuss. When I called back the second time for the internet issue, I got a nice gentleman that explained the President Rewards program a bit more and assured me it was a free reward program. I reluctantly signed up because I really did not want to pay for internet that kept cutting off. The gentleman did his very best to satisfy the situation and that I am grateful for. The entire reason for the rating of 5 above is because some of the staff did their best to accommodate the issues presented and even gave some compensation for the room costs. Also, I planned on scheduling an appointment to get my nails done at the spa, but my coworkers had such a terrible time there.. I skipped out. Most of the amenities in the spa were not working(I think the hot-tub was the only thing available). Also heard the woman doing the nails was way too timid and didn't seem like she was confident in her skills. All in all- it wasn't a great experience, but it's not the worst I've had either.

« Unexpected level of service. »

Your text messaging system was the first I've experienced. I'm assuming automated was quite responsive. However, when I requested a sharps container it was clear that the staff was unaware of it's usage as it arrived closed. In other words, unusable (they should be closed when filled with sharps. Once closed they are designed not to be opened for safety reasons). Although I appreciate the offer/service.
