« Exceptional service during our Thanksgiving week stay. »

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We utilized the concierge service, which resulted in second row seats to Trevor Noah’s show. This was a great memory and the family loved it. Thank you Zach. The housekeeping staff did a great job and left us thank you notes. The kitchen staff at the continental breakfast were always smiling. I wish I had thanked them all personally. It started our days off with a calm enjoyable meal. Our daughter lives in San Francisco and we will be returning to your hotel many times in the future!

« Not what the hotel used to be »

I am a returning customer to this hotel property and sadly I will not be back. The hotel is not currently operating as a luxury property. The hotel rooms are in need of renovation. There is significant wear and tear which is apparent in the common areas, breakfast room and hotel suite. The staff, while very friendly are not up to date on San Francisco museums or local restaurants. We were sent to two museums on a Wednesday, only to find out once we got there that museums are closed on Wednesday’s. Our room was facing ongoing construction and we were awoken at 5:30 am eacj morning. Due to occupancy we were not able to be moved. It was an underwhelming experience and I would not recommend this hotel property.

We waited multiple times for our car for over twenty minutes with no apparent reason as there were not others waiting too. The doorman had big problems taking the car from our guests. I am not sure he is capable of the job.

Everyone was courteous. Cristina Lopez was very helpful; she showed us around and explained a little of the hotel history. Overall stay was just wonderful. Looking forward to return in the future.

« The fairmont is well located & very comfortable. Especially enjoyed the fact there were complimentary bikes avbl to guests, although we had to bring ours back for some mechanical adjustments. »

Very pleasant, esp Fabiola & Jessica, the two concierges, who helped us a great deal! I was surprised when taking my first shower that the hand-held pipe dislocated from the wall. This was repaired by maintenance that day (I'm surprised that the cleaning staff did not report this when cleaning the unit before our arrival. Also, I had to ask, after cleaning, for housekeeping to replace some of the amenities. They had not paid attention to what they were leaving - eg. 3 body lotions but no shampoo. This may just be an oversight on their part but a big inconvenience when getting ready to go out & there's no shampoo, etc! This survey asks for feedback about noise in room but does not give an opportunity to say what specifically it was therefore how do you correct it? The noise was a yapping dog, obviously left on its own all day. I understand you allow dogs but they should not have priority to your other guest's comfort.

We really enjoyed the Fairmont. The location and set up was fantastic. It really suited our needs and we'd do it again in a heartbeat. The only negative, which really surprises me to say, is that the beds were really uncomfortable. They were very stiff and hard. Of all the ER properties we have visited, we've never experienced such hard and uncomfortable beds. It's interesting because we prefer firm beds. However, your beds weren't firm, they were HARD. Other than that, everything else was literally perfect.

« Beautiful property but don't think I'll stay again. »

I've stayed here many times, because it's a beautiful property and I like being able to run along the water. This time I felt like everyone would always smile and say ok to any request I made and then not do it. I didn't feel welcome. I don't think I'll stay here again. I requested a property with a patio the 2nd time in particular because my husband was going to be working most of the time and we have no outdoor space in NY so I thought it would be special for him but didn't get it. I requested my room be cleaned while we were out for a few hours so that my husband could return and work uninterrupted and they didn't do that; instead we had to go sit outside on a bench and wait for them to finish. I requested a car ride and was told the car was not available, then stood in the entryway waiting for my Uber and heard the doorman tell another guest that the car was being used but there was a backup car. Also, the breakfasts are really awful, and the coffee machine never seemed to be operating.

« Unit needs updating. Very tired furnishing, carpet living area. Did not feel clean. »

No water pressure, windows were filthy in all rooms. Bathrooms need updating. Very disappointing. Not enough towels, as there is no turn down service.

« Perfect Location, Amazing Room »

So glad we picked this property in San Francisco even though our stay was brief. The greeting from the team was friendly and genuine, the view from room #406 was incredible (thanks for the upgrade!). A perfect location by the bay, Garibaldi Square, Fisherman's Wharf, restaurants, cable cars. Really appreciated the breakfast offering and the breakfast room/patio with the fire pit, the complimentary car service was also a nice touch on a scorching hot day.
