« We had a lovely visit »

We loved San Diego & loved the Fairmont. The grounds are beautiful. The restaurants are lovely. The location is perfect. Del Mar beach is fantastic. Our suite was perfectly appointed. Housekeeping was amazing. Valet was top notch. Concierge was also impeccable. Our only negatives were the poolside service, it seemed as though they were short staffed.

We loved the property and really enjoyed our stay. Service at the restaurant for breakfast was very slow (from the kitchen) on the days there was no buffet. Otherwise, everything was perfect

« Love your Spa and landscaping, didn't enjoy my suite and the food. »

Stunning grounds, amazing spa (and spa staff) but the room and food were not a good value. Was disappointed and will not return. Upon checkout, I also let the desk team know my main concerns and troubles and they removed the resort fee. I appreciated this but a lot more could have been done to make my stay as comfortable as possible - especially given the amount of money I spent and the suite I booked.

Friendly staff, well maintained room, One problem though, middle of a night a phone was going crazy making loud noise, siren alarm. Just woken up, could not figure out to turn the phone off. Eventually it stoped and we could not go back to sleep.

Our experience was great. Staff were welcoming. Bellmen and concierge staff were plentiful and helpful. Housekeeping was good, but a little stingy with supplies. I've found no matter where we stay, including DelMar that all the towels get washed every day even if hung, despite your stated commitment to being green. Wait staff is seriously understaffed. Neither pool staff nor lounge staff could keep up, and they seemed overwhelmed. Loved the welcoming cookies for the kids and the nightly oreos.

« Amazingly beautiful property and exceptional service »

We stayed 5 nights over our spring break. The staff is excellent and the grounds wonderful. We used the pool several days and had an amazing Easter brunch along with an egg hunt and games for our kids. The concierge, Mindy, was excellent. She booked our whale boat trip and Sea Workd tickets. She also told us that the tickets we wanted for Sea World would be cheaper in a couple days so we waited to buy them with her

It was good. The staff was great. Only complaints are that the WiFi barely works and I paid 150$ for champagne and strawberries, for 150$ I expect nicer than a 20$ bottle of champagne.
