« Another Great Experience »

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for a weekend Staycation. We had an amazing time. The Spa was a definite highlight. With Addison closed for the week, we went to Amaya for the first time and had an incredible meal. It was quite memorable. The only disappointment was Club M. We checked it out on Saturday night to watch the dueling pianos and have a nice night. Unfortunately all of the seating in the entire place was reserved for a private party. Instead of closing to the public for the night, they remained open for a very poor public experience. After 20 minutes of trying to find a spot to watch the show and grab a drink we ended up leaving. It seemed like a fun place, but it wasn’t for us that night.

We booked a three night stay to celebrate our Anniversary. Unfortunately my mother passed on Jan 1st and we arrived extremely exhausted and very sad. The warm reception we received from the bellman who shuttled us in and the front desk agent set the tone for our stay. Thank you so much for the festive prosecco and choc covered strawberries that cheered us up. We enjoyed the special efforts by the chef and staff of Amaya the friendliness, enthusiasm and of course the delicious cuisine. All of which made our Anniverary dinner memorable. We laid low, relaxed in our suite, tested by the pools and rode bicycles on the grounds. Thank you very much to all of the outstanding hospitality workers who go above and beyond for their guests

FOURTH visit to Del Mar. Stayed over new year with family. Had a great time. Issue at check in needed 2 rooms close by due to child with special needs. MR. Abukar Hussein personally addressed the issue and was able to provide the ideal solution. His follow up, care and services was above and beyond. True asset to the hotel.

« A little disappointing for a Fairmont property. »

Overall experience was disappointing, certainly a few highlights the bellman, concierge were great and the dinner at Addison was wonderful. We've stayed at a lot of Fairmont's and this is not the same level of service we've received else where. I had a suite which included dishes and every day the dishes were left dirty, I finally left a note and a $20 to have the dishes done or asked them to leave soap for us to do them - they left soap. Sad really.

The Christmas festivities were terrific. My daughter loved the ferris wheel and merry-go-round while my wife and I enjoyed the champagne! The hotel is as top notch as it has been.

« Excellent, but we didn't stay long enough to take advantage of everything. »

All staff were great! We like their style--not too stiff and formal. The room was terrific and grounds beautiful. We were only there for four days, though, and had plans elsewhere for most of those, so we were unable to take advantage of all of the amenities, like the spa.

« We came in October and enjoyed our visit so much we came back in January. »

The stay was great, hotel service and amenities were fantastic. The only issue we encountered was at the Clubhouse Grill. Both occasions we dined there the service was unfortunately very slow and one of the meals was not that good. Other than that we very much enjoyed our visit.

My husband and I enjoyed the last day of the Winter Festival. But we had the most fun at the NYE party in the main lobby. Music was great...I practically danced my feet off!!! Next year you should offer photo booth/ ops.

« Absolutely lovely stay at the Fairmont staff is incredible. »

Stay was extremely enjoyable staff and spa were wonderful, the Addison was superb. The Grounds at the Fairmont are beautiful and walking the property is great. The only downside was the invoice found a number of errors and took some time to have corrected.

The staff is exceptional. We played golf and Bru, our caddy make the experience very enjoyabale. Our New Years Eve was wonderful. Fabien at Amaya provided over the top service and made our evening very special. We will return in the near future
