« Very lovely hotel »

I travel here for work and was delighted to see a Fairmont hotel in town. Hotel as expected was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable and the staff on the 3rd floor gym/recreation room are exceptionally courteous and helpful. Now as for the staff downstairs at the check-in desk, it will be nice of them to atleast be friendly and as welcoming as the lady at the recreational facility. The front reception people were not receptive at all and in my opinion gives off a look of "do not speak to me". Overall, I really like this hotel and I will be back again in-town for work and will be lodging here again.

Clean and comfortable with the exception of AC - either too hot or too cold Could not get through to in room dining and room services - needed to call front desk - was this due to reservations.

Front staff was welcoming and helpful. Concierge (Eric) was outstanding! Always went the extra mile. Health club is second to none and staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast offered many selections and the wait staff was great!

« Beautiful luxury hotel, attentive service/staff, but no free wifi?? »

I loved everything about my stay at the Fairmont except for how difficult it was to get cell service/wifi. I stayed here for a friend's wedding, which was also at the hotel. The room was large and luxurious, the bathrooms were beautiful. Everything we needed was right there for us, and the view from the room was stunning. The concierge sent a engineer to the parking garage to help jump my car when the battery died, and several members of the staff that I ran into during my stay at the Fairmon asked if everything was to my liking. However--and I don't think this is all the Fairmont's fault--I had an extremely difficult time getting cell service and wifi/LTE data access during my stay here. This was pretty critical as I was a part of the wedding party and was running all over the hotel all day running errands and delivering things from one room to another. I think one major issue was that my network, Sprint, doesn't get great coverage in Pittsburgh. But where the Fairmont comes in is that we did not get complimentary wifi in the rooms, which seems like a pretty glaring oversight for a luxury hotel where all the other aspects of the stay are otherwise so well thought out. For example, the bride and groom booked a suite, and even in that room we did not get complimentary wifi. Perhaps 10 years ago, wifi could be seen as an extra, but I think in this day and age, it's become a basic need for many people. Something to consider in the future, perhaps?

« Great, not perfect »

Service was a 10. Only negatives were cleanliness was 8/10. We requested a crib and the one that was waiting in the room for us was covered in dust. We called down and they did replace it for us in a timely fashion. Also a lot of the air vents and light fixtures in the room were very dusty. Normally at a fairmont the cleanliness is a 10/10. But the stay was great besides that. Great room service.

Not the level of service I am used to. You could not get your act together with food for cocktail party in our suite. Called on Sunday. Spoke with 4 different people and still did not get a menu until the folliwing Thursday. Selection on receipt was very limited to serve 9 people. Not much other than nuts and crudités. Embarrassing for me with my guests. Had to go outside for catering

« It was amazing!!! »

Everything was fantastic. I arrived very late ...close to 2AM and my only concern was no help with my luggage to my room....otherwise the place is perfect in everyway...can't wait for my next work trip to Pittsburgh. I had never been to Pittsburgh before and I have to stay it stole a piece of my heart.

« Check in was mixed up service that followed was 1st class »

They put us in queen beds instead of the King I reserved and it took a bit of running around to get us in the right room. The bell hop, David was extremely helpful. Then during our stay the concierge, Eric was absolutely incredible. He got us dinner reservations and really cared about our experience. David and Eric's service is the reason why we will be staying at the Fairmont every time we come to Pittsburgh.

Electrical system malfunctioned causing TV and light to unexpectedly go on/off without warning. Fixed on day 2 but we lost sleep on first night. Bose unit in LR of suite so loud it was heard outside room, down the hallway. Engineer looked at it, tried a second subwoofer, could not repair so disconnected the unit. Wash cloths were not left.

We love staying at the Fairmont! The staff is so helpful and always makes us feel welcome. The only thing I would like to see is a few "kid friendly" options on the menu. We would love to stay and eat at the hotel but find ourselves having to go elsewhere because the menu is more for adults. Just a suggestion. Thank You, Cheryl R.

« Our stay at the Fairmont in Pittsburg was everything you would expect of a world class hotel. »

This was our first time in PIttsburg, so we wanted it to be memorable. We chose the Fairmont because of it was highly rated. We included the valet parking with our stay. This was great and allowed us to come and go with ease. The front desk staff was very personable and friendly. Since we were not familiar with Pittsburg, the concierge was invaluable. He gave us some great suggestions on places to eat. The room was clean and well appointed. We had a great view of the baseball field. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs. Overall, the Fairmont Pittsburgh would rank up there with the nicest hotels that we have stayed in. Thank you for a great stay!

I was impressed with the design of my suite. It is the best I have ever seen for its size. The room was clean but there was an area near bed on rug that was not cleaned as well as it could.

Your staff was so helpful. We got there in the pouring rain and late at night. All your people at the front door went out of their way to make sure we were dry, unloaded and up to our rooms. Plus they parked our vehicle which we affectionately named "the church van". It was a wonderful experience. Thanks for making our travel with a large group so easy.
