Easy pull up for checking helpful bell staff. Check went smoothly, but no acknowledgment that I’d been a guest there before. Comfortable room, great gym. Enjoyed use of spa with my wife.

We loved the hotel, the neighborhood! Fl2 was amazing (although we had a weird experience. our server Julie or Julia was super sweet and friendly, and brought us a third dessert "on her" but charged us for it. We let it go.) Loved Andy's, but are wondering why the beverages (beer in particular) are not also available at the bar on Fl2) Disappointed Andy's was not open on Sunday. One thing that didn't bother my husband but I though the executive staff would like to know. The housekeeping storage room was across the hall from us and the door was wide open morning till night - and it was an unsightly mess that I really don't think guests are supposed to see. Brian and all of the welcoming /valet staff were SO accommodating and helpful! 5 stars to them!!!

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived. We got a room that was set up for 1 person. We had issues with the safe as soon as we got there and the air conditioning did not work well.

« Value was not in line with premium price compared to other options. »

Disappointing for the premium price. We have stayed in downtown Pittsburgh many times. This trip was to celebrate our anniversary. It started when our room was not ready and we were checking in at 4:10, after normal check in time. Can't be. I don't expect that at a mid-priced hotel, let alone premium. (We were comped a drink, but that can't fully fix the issue.) The spa was a disappointment in the size, but the service level with NO locker room attendants. Really? I have higher expectations based on the price and reputation of the Fairmont. The actual massages were very good. Finally, the in room air conditioning was poor, creating a poor environment. We like it cold when we sleep. The first night, due to your leed certification and the motion detectors, the AC timed out making it warm in the room. Saturday, we asked for that to be overridden and set at 66. First off, we shouldn't have to select one temperature for the room, we should be able to set it as we please. Second, the room did not get to 66 and did not maintain 66.

Our stay was fantastic. The valet, bellmen, & lobby staff were awesome. Concierge Eric Zawid went above & beyond. He made sure our stay was exactly what we expected. We brought our pup, Violet. He made sure she had what she needed. Thank you Eric. You are the BEST!!

« Gorgeous hotel + kind staff = perfection for my dog & me! »

I needed a dog-friendly hotel along a road trip route, and was so happy to find this gorgeous place. From the moment we pulled up out front to when we walked out the door to leave the next morning, every single staff member I met was amazingly kind and lovely. It's difficult to find a nice hotel that is also dog-friendly, especially to a giant dog like mine. But, the Fairmont Pittsburgh was not only gorgeous and allowed dogs, but was so welcoming.

« poor kept rooms/no attention to detail »

-We were not asked for our Fairmont Rewards member number upon check in -We were eligible for room upgrade through American Platinum Travel, prior to arrival we upgraded our room by calling Fairmont Pittsburg directly, but upon check in that upgrade was not completed -Hotel room was not clean (coffee stains by night stand, stain on desk chair, dust on TV and TV stand, missing wine glasses in mini bar area) -Room service-it took the room service attendant 3 times to bring the correct ice bucket requested -Fairmont wanted to charge us for Wifi although we receive "free" wifi by being a Fairmont Member -Ordered late night menu, food service attendant brought extra food that was not ordered and we were not presented with a copy of the check. -Upon check out Valet person /bell man just threw our luggage in the trunk instead of taking time to make sure it is organized and that it fits in the appropriate compartments

« We stay at the Fairmont Pgh a few times a year. All told, this wasn't our best visit. »

Love the desk and front door staff. Love the massages. Love the roomy baths. Love the views. Andy's drinks and food were unremarkable. Fl.2 drinks were great. Food was not memorable. Would I recommend these two to others - probably not. Housekeeping this visit was also not up to its usual snuff. The coffee countertop in our room was sticky. There was no water bottle and one piece of the corkscrew was missing. And, another room's used cups/glasses were on the floor outside that room on for our entire stay.

The staff was very attentive. Food at fl.2 was very good. I appreciated the accommodation of my gluten free diet. Mary gave an excellent massage in the spa. The bed was comfortable and I was glad for the curtains that blocked light.
