« The room was exceptional and had a nice view »

We were only there for the Pink concert. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area and sample some of the restaurants. Hotel and room was very nice. Desk was very helpful with several questions we had. The only issue we had was with arrival. We had to drive around the block twice trying to figure out where to park. Finally called the hotel and got instructions on where to go.

Room was very comfortable, well stocked and with a great view. I can't say enough on how very professional, friendly, and helpful the staff was. I will definitely consider staying at the Fairmont before thinking of other hotels next time I am in Pittsburgh.

The stay and room was great. Only one minor item that seemed odd, the Overhead lights above the bed, was backwards, the switch on left turned light above opposite side of bed. This didn't affect the quality of stay, just seemed odd.

« Was VERY disappointing!!! I will be staying at the Kimpton next time I have to stay in Pittsburgh »

The electricity in HALF of the suite I was staying in was NOT working and my suite was DARK and I was unable to enjoy it. I notified one of the staff and she said it would be fixed and it NEVER WAS. The Bartender at the restaurant on the 2nd Floor was beyond RUDE and disrespectful. My friend who had a room key but left it had to sleep on a couch in the Lobby because her name was not added to the reservation and when I called to tell them to just let her up she was denied access and had to sleep on a sofa in the lobby. I paid well over one thousand dollars for the room and that doesn't include what I spent at the Spa. I am BEYOND DISGUSTED that the Fairmont would employ such for lackluster and unfriendly staff. It's horrifying. What is even more horrific is the treatment that me and my friend received and the fact that the electricity wasn't fixed immediately is just testament to the fact that the Fairmont is sub-par. I will NEVER stay at your hotel again and none of my associates or employees or friends will ever stay at the Fairmont. The worst experience ever. The front desk person took $200 off of my bill. At the very least 50% should have been taken off because I couldn't access 50% of the suite because the electricity was not working. The most awful experience ever.

« Clean wonderful view of the city. »

My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend looking at schools in Pittsburgh. The stay at the Fairmont was wonderful. First off my room was very clean. I loved the mini bar set up with the complementary creamers in the fridge. I then went up to use their excellent gym and saw there was also Complementary coffee there as well. The view of the baseball field from our room was great. Love the Binocular‘s. There was a firework show after the game and we watched them from the room. Awesome. The concierge‘s Was so friendly and helpful as well as all the staff. I loved the bar on the 2fl.

We have been staying at the Fairmont for years, and we always have a terrific experience. The team treats all of us as if we are family, and makes us feel at 'home!' The room is great, the staff is great, dining is terrific (when we indulge), fitness is great, etc...

« Below expectations »

Enjoyed Mt Washington view from 23rd floor and location near Market Square. Bathroom was dirty when we arrived.....sliding door had many layers of dust from days without proper cleaning. We reported it and someone was sent to clean. The TV remote did not work. Bottled water was not provided with the room....no diffused water, coffee, fruit or newspaper in lobby area. Valet Parking (which was necessary center city Pittsburgh) was $36 dollars per nite plus tips......the most we have ever paid.

« One of the best hotel stays we've had »

This Fairmont (and other hotels) stay ranks as one of the best we have had. We arrived early and were able to check-in and request a different room type with no problem. The room was very welcoming and nicely appointed (though larger bath mats or two smaller ones would be welcome as there is a lot of floor space - and cold - in the bathroom). One thing with housekeeping would be nice - we used the coffee cups (both china and disposable) but they were not replaced - we stopped by the front desk on the way our and asked if they could send some up - which they did. Otherwise everything in the room worked (appliances, lights) great. The rooms furniture and placement was well done - not over crowded or lacking - loved the little settee built into wall. Now to the staff - everyone was GREAT! Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and seemed genuinely interested in how the guest was or what they were doing. Unfortunately, I do not remember the names of the front desk people but I would like to call out how wonderful Brian, Eric, Ron, and David were. They were very engaging - Eric was calling sports stores inquiring about availability and sizes for some hockey jerseys, Brian helped us with our bags on check-in and showed us the workings of the room - whenever we saw him, he would ask how everything was going and if we needed anything. My husband enjoyed talking with Ron and David about hockey and the games we were going to on several occasions. We enjoyed two meals in Fl2 - the good was great as was the service. Next time we visit Pittsburgh, we will definitely try and stay at the Fairmont.

Lobby staff is great! Especially Ron and Dave. Hotel rooms are a bit run down. Furniture chipped and black mold in shower below the shower door. Room very dusty!
