Everything was outstanding. However, I left my cell phone charger in the wall outlet next to my bed. Did housekeeping happen to find it? I checked out on Wednesday, November 7th. My room # was 736.

The hotel staff were impeccable from the moment we got out of the car to when we got back in to leave. Everyone was courteous and knew their business well, better than us. The early check in and upgrade were appreciated, the room was fantastic. Could not have asked for a better weekend.

I only stay at the Plaza when visiting New York at least 8 times a year. The reason is besides being a beautiful elegant hotel from the moment I arrive and walk in I am welcomed by people who appreciate me staying there ...I am greeted by Patricia as I enter with her heartwarming smile and knowledge and Eddie the bellman who cares in getting me and my luggage to my beautiful comfortable room. I feel safe with secuiry like Reggie and when sitting in Lobby to eat everyone waits on me like I am important. They all remember my name and throughout my stay we have delightful fun conversations...my friends and family who accompany me on some of the trips feel so special during their stay. The are so spoiled staying there. I feel and I am treated like part of the Plaza family. Thank you. Cheryl M.

We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful hotel and an amazing staff. The Plaza is not a hotel that would generally be in my price range but it's been a dream of mine to stay here since I was a child. My family and I booked the home alone package and it far exceeded my expectations. They communicated with me from the day I booked our stay until the day we checked out. They sheduled all of our activities for us and made our stay perfect. Their staff is so wonderful. They treated us so well and went above and beyond making our trip truly memorable.

« Awesome stay at the Plaza! Celebrating my twin daughters’ birthday! »

Thank you to The Plaza for an amazing time filled with many many special memories. My one daughter had her makeup done by Luigi Taglialegna at the Guerlain Spa located on the 4th floor of the hotel. Luigi is a very talented makeup artist, taught my daughter some excellent tips but above and beyond all he is such a genuine sweetheart! We highly recommend booking a service at the spa and to truly get pampered book a makeup session there and ask for Luigi. We also had great dining experiences even with vegan food options at the Todd English Foodhall and at the for late night snacks at the Rose Club after an evening out in the city. Special thanks to all those who made our time even more memorable: Everyone from the staff at the front desk, Tony at the front doors, Alexander Baez and Pratima Kandel all contributed to a wonderful and memorable celebration for my daughters. Everything was top notch except for the paper products. The tissues and toilet paper were low quality compared to everything else. Also, I was to have a complimentary newspaper each morning, but never received them. My wife thought having another mirror in the room would be helpful.

We come to NY ever year. This was by far the worse experience for my husband and I. Our room was located next to the elevator. We were moved to a room that had a half dozen issues. We spend most of our days with a friend in their hotel.

The hotel and our room were absolutely beautiful. I also liked that the hotel lobby was for staying guests only. We had dinner at the palm court that was perfect, drinks in the rose bar with live jazz, and breakfast in bed. We received every extra we asked for. We were completely pampered.

« Great location, great History, updates required »

We have stayed at 27 Fairmont Properties. This one ranks high in the most unwelcoming category. The placement of the austere check in desk appears unfriendly. Staff were kind. The room we were in looked the same as one we stayed in 8 years ago. The carpets were worn, dust infused in creases of gold plated mirrors etc. The bed in our room was well worn and far too soft. We were sad to still not be able to enjoy a drink at the Oak bar as it is only available for private occasions. The Eloise story theme of the hotel is not one my 8 year old daughter was drawn to. Eloise is a spoiled brat character. Perhaps it is time to update her to be a kind helpful person living in the hotel. My daughter had no interest in purchasing anything to do with Eloise and would not have entertained the notion of a $100 tea experience! Our suite was nicely layed out and we enjoyed the space. Our thoughts are the entire hotel could do with a Montreal Fairmont shut down and complete overhaul.

« Overall pleasant but with some hiccups! »

I stayed for two weeks because I had a minor surgery! Therefore spent a lot of time resting and eating in my room! Rooms are extremely comfortable with good cupboard space and well designed for comfort! I had major issues at the beginning with delays from room service! I asked for empty mugs to be sent to the room and it took more than 50 minutes!! Everytime I called they would say he is on his way! At the end the manager had to intervene so that I get empty mugs! There were other stories too of unnecessary delays for simple requests!
