Front desk and concierge service were excellent. Very nice bathrooms. Outstanding location. Some of the furniture and the carpet are showing signs of wear and tear. The internet in our room (1726) was not good. One side of the room had no internet at all and that keeps me from giving a higher rating.

The Plaza remains one of my favorite hotels to stay anywhere in the world. The staff is always more than accommodating and responsive to all requests. The suites at The Plaza exude a classic elegance. The bathrooms with the gold leaf are timeless. The location is ideal for all midtown destinations. With multiple dining options within and outside the hotel, it’s easy to see why The Plaza is one of the world’s greatest hotels.

very disappointing. Things from the room went missing that were mentioned to reception, which was handled by issuing a credit to the room. the service at the breakfast was very slow, turn down service was too early (17.30), towels not replaced after a day in the city as we went out at 18.30 !!! for such a hotel, very disappointing after being served luxury by the Ritz Carlton in Naples the week before. will not be staying again. ALSO, taking a flight back to Manchester leaving JFK at 19.45, check out at 12.00 and no facility to change in for such a hotel is unnaceptable

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at your hotel, however, our final interaction with a staff member soured the experience. In the morning of our planned departure from your hotel I had made a request at the check in desk, for my wife’s flowers to be brought down to the lobby for onward transportation. We were asked whether our bags were to be brought down at the same time and this seemed a reasonable suggestion and so I agreed. Later that morning, my family and I returned to the hotel to find a gentleman in our room. When I challenged his reason for being there he informed me he was from guest services and that he was completing an inventory of the in-room amenities (minibar). I politely asked him to leave the room and provide us with privacy until we had checked out. I was disappointed to note that the gentleman had helped himself to the complimentary fruit basket your hotel had provided and had left his empty drinks can (an energy drink) in our room. We had further cause for disappointment once we had checked out. A day later we received an invoice for items it was alleged we had consumed from the in-room minibar. I strongly refute these were consumed and a clerical error has instead been made by the gentleman completing the amenity audit. I strongly request a review of the procedures guest services follow that caused the incident I have reported here. I further request for a written explanation giving the reasons for the gentleman being in our room prior to us checking out and for the inventory audit error. I have been refunded the charges made to my account in error, by the Fairmont reservation team to my satisfaction. However, I do want an explanation for why guest services had entered my room and carry out an audit whilst my family and I were still using the room. Furthermore, an explanation for why staff are helping themselves to a customers personal gift of the complimentary fruit basket that was to be consumed this prior to our departure. I think, quite understandably, I decided against this once it had been tampered with. My family and I were staying at your hotel to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. I had made the reservation for one of the penthouse suites to ensure a memorable occasion. For all the wrong reasons was the incident I am bringing to your attention here memorable. On a more positive note, I must bring to your attention the wonderful experience we were provided with by your colleagues in the concierge team, Hatsumi and James in particular. Both of whom are an asset to your wider team and cannot be praised highly enough. Arrangements made through them prior to arrival of transfers and flowers in the room were carried out effortlessly. They were courteous and professional at all times and offered outstanding service. I look forward to hearing from you with a full explanation of the events that occurred at the end of our stay at your hotel. Kind regards

4 conversation to get something in the room for the kids. Nothing 1 bra found in closet. Handed to wife. Not hers!!! 3 manager conversations making excuses. Offered $100 on a 5 night stay with service and cleanliness left to be desired. The ritz and the peninsula are a walk away, have stayed at both happily. Very disappointed.

We were greeted outside by the bellman and provided accurate directions to the lobby. The persons working at the front desk were extremely accommodating.
