This has become our "home away from home" for our visits to Montreal. The staff in the Gold level have come to know us and are always extremely welcoming. The room also very comfortable and with a terrific view of the Cathedral.

I was in Montreal on business and didn't spend much time in the hotel. However, the amenities allowed me to rest peacefully to be energized for each day. The Wifi also allowed me to be productive.

It was a good experience ocerall. The new renovated look is a vast improvement over the old one. Good fares and superb location in Montreal. Staff is nice. But why do we still need to pay for wifi in 2018 in a 5 star hotel?!

Had a great stay at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth. I only had a few minor issues during my stay. The first issue was with the coffee maker. The machine was too finicky and would swallow the coffee pods and only dispense hot water - went through a number of pods over the few days I was there to finally get one cup of coffee. Eventually I gave up trying to troubleshoot the machine and I called room service to have coffee delivered. With the room service attendant's help we were eventually able to get the machine to dispense coffee. The lever to close the compartment where the pods were placed had to be closed slowly and gently, if closed too quickly the pod was dropped into the machine and you only got hot water. Too many pods and too much time wasted on this coffee machine. The next issue was the armoire door holding the ice bucket got stuck in the down position and would not raise. With the door open, it obstructed the passageway through the room and a light remained on. I ended up putting a towel over the door to block the light until it could be fixed the next day. The last minor issue I had was upon check-out a charge appeared on my bill for peanuts from the snack bar, as these were never consumed and the snack bar not even touched I mentioned it upon check out to the front desk and they quickly removed the charge from my bill. Again, these were only minor issues during my stay and the staff were all quick to rectify the situation once brought to their attention.

Smooth check-in process and comfortable stay. I especially loved your toiletry products but was disappointed to see how pricey they were to purchase downstairs. Appreciated being able to print documents that I needed for meetings & the quick turnaround. The food in the restaurant was delicious & the staff very attentive. The only truly disappointing experience, & i'm not sure whether or not it is something you can address, however the coffee at the cafe in the lobby was horrible...basically water & no taste. Unfortunately this is what I will remember the most about my recent stay.

« Satisfied stay with a couple of road bumps »

Overall I was satisfied. There were a couple of challenges. One was taken care of real well and the other was a disappointment. When I arrived and checked in I went to the room and discovered that someone had the same room. they had just checked in as well. The front desk was very apologetic and upgraded my room to a better view. I understand things can happen I was very happy that they took care of it quickly and reached out to me to during the stay to make sure everything was ok. The valet parking garage frustrated me a great deal. I have had many stays at your hotel for business in the last ten years and I was surprised on the service of the valet. I understand parking is at a premium in that area however when I went to get my car it was very unorganized. A huge lineup of cars to be parked and my wait was to be 20 minutes. I had been to my car various times during my stay and knew where my car was. I was told they had to bring my car to me I was not allowed to go get my car. It was located on the main level half way down toward the exit. Their reasoning that they are responsible if I hit another car. I understand ads I work for an insurance company. I see the point if it was just to drop something off in the car. I had checked out and was heading on a 7 hour drive. Now 7.5 hour drive. It would have taken me 5 minutes to load my car and leave. All they had to do was escort me to my car and I could leave. The attendant took my car in line drove upstream, making a 14 point turn almost scraping a concrete pillar and close to backing into another car. There simply was no room to bring my car up with all the backlog of other cars to be parked. My point is that I drive that car in the lot to the valet and I drive the car out without any concerns of theirs. And they were worried about my driving!!! really!!!! There were more concerns on the attendant than myself. Disappointed that they valet did not think out of the box to make that process more efficient. That experience will weigh on my decision to stay at the Queen Elizabeth again. And that's too bad.

I have stayed at the hotel for business reasons. My initial room was located near by the elavator and was very noisy. I could hear all the movements in the railings which kept disrupting my sleep. I had gone down to speak to a customer service clerk however he couldn’t find me another room. At 12am I called the front desk and decided to speak to a manager. I spoke to Gaëlle who took control of the situation and was able to accommodate me.

Long wait for check in, but clearly evident the hotel had all hands on deck to get us through as quickly as possible. Email check out is very convenient. Staff very professional and frequently greet you in the lobby and corridors. Nice!
