My stay went extremely well. Check-in was fast but efficient. My room was well located with a nice view of the city yet the room was well noise isolated. The Accor beds are part of my top 3 "hotel beds". So comfortable. The room was super clean and I love the fast check-out option which was ideal for me when I saw a couple of people waiting to check-out. I simply left and checked-out through the email that I received. Did not get to use the gym/pool/restaurant this time but I have before and those are ideal for a business traveler like I am. Thanks Fairmont QE for another amazing stay.

I think there was a problem with the air conditioning. I mentioned it to the front desk and didn't get a follow up. It was as hot on the second night.

I was expecting to get a double room, but a King room was assigned. When I requested to change it to a double, I was told that a room is not available unless I pay $20 per night for an upgrade to a "room with view". The room was facing a construction site and high rise buildings, so there was no "view" anyway. I talked to a manager and she gave me credit for 2 of the 4 nights and told me that she will speak to the person who assigned my room and will get back to me. I never heard back from anyone and didn't get the credit for 2 nights of upgrade charge.

We came to the hotel because we were going to see the penatonix concert at the bell center. We chose to come to Montreal for our 6th year wedding anniversary and we could not have been more happier. When we arrived we where told to go to the 21st floor to check in and we where treated like VIPs. It was amazing. The food in the Gold area was great and the coffee maker was fun to learn to use. I was very happy when we realized that everyone spoke English. The only thing that my wife said was that she wished we had a soaker tub which is on my list for next year to book. We loved it so much we want to make it a yearly thing. A new tradition.

While the hotel's new look is great, the service and attention to detail is lacking. $359 nighly rate, I expect a free bottle of water in my room and not to be charged $4 to store two pieces of luggage for a couple of hours. Really, it is the small things that matter. I also had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and open my door when key cards got de-magnatized eventhough a service worker on the floor had called reception to validate my name and checked my ID only to be told that he could not open my door.

Great, except for the garage experience.

Our overall experience was very nice. However, we had a very uncomfortable experience. Our car window on the drivers side was broken when we received our car. When we arrived we made sure to close all the windows. When we picked it up, the window was open. We thought nothing of it until we left the garage. It was raining so we had to close the window. It did not work. My husband went back to the garage staff to tell them that something had happened to the window. The staff said that it was broken when we drove in. That is not true. The garage staff gave us no assistance whatsoever. Also, if it were true, the staff would have told us. We had to drive the next 350 miles back to our home, in pouring rain, with temperature of 62 F, both disappointed and very angry.

Stylish and central hotel with good facilities

The rooms were modern and stylish. The spa/pool area was also great, kept Clean and tidy. A few minor comments that could be improved with the spa: two shower rooms were faulty, one with very weak power in the shower stream and the handle could not be held up by the rail. It could also be imporved by having Cold water available in the changing rooms. The conference facility experience was mixed: staff was great and very helpful and professional, five stars! The Conference catering was unfortunatly average and I did not Think it was very good value for money.
