My stay was a short one at the end of a cruise from New York. We utilised the Fairmont Gold program and were extremely happy with the service from the initial check-in and through-out the stay. The allocated room was to a high standard. The hotel is well located to the shopping and restaurant areas, with a walk to the old town taking around 20 minutes. Evening drinks along with the offered food topped off the experience. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Everything was fantastic. One minor exception was that the coffee machine in the room was not working. It seems to have needed descaling, because almost no water would go through it. But I was at a conference where lots of coffee was available.

Room (4th floor) looking into a gravel pit. Steak from meal on Wednesday night not edible.

I had a wonderful stay. We had a two-day offsite and used the conference facilities as well. Meeting facilities were well appointed, the food was outstanding, and the staff were also fantastic. My room was comfortable and I had a great sleep. Can't think of anything that wasn't awesome other than the slow elevators, which were a minor inconvenience.

The experience was tremendous. Check-in was courteous, helpful and professional. What a surprise to receive the Fairmont Gold upgrade. This special service was top notch. Food was terrific, and in a comfortable setting, felt special. Housekeeping and nightly turndown service was excellent. A great stay, in an amazing location and I will be highly recommending the location.

Very good, comfortable room. One exception the exit for the parking is horrible, you have to get out of the car to put your ticket in the machine because the turning radius is bad.

The room was very nice, food in the restaurant was great, and the staff was pleasant. The only real negative was the air conditioning in the room not really doing anything to cool it off, whereas in one of the rooms on the conference floor it was quite cold, so one knows the AC in the building was working.

The rooms were are very small and stuffy considering the price of the room. The food at the conference was ok, a bit disappointing. The food was cold as it was set out to early. One of the stations was closed and we could not use it because there were not enough people eating yet. So thsi food was very cold. The receptionists were very pleasant.

Overall great, concierges gave awesome recommendations. The shower was HORRIBLE, we had a lake of water on the floor each time, which caused us to use all the towels so as not to slip. It look like a severe design flaw.

I have escalated the issue of strands of stair in the bathroom shower, counter and toilet to the front desk staff at the evening of my stay as that is when I noticed the uncleanliness. The front staff sent housekeeping to take photos of the hair to report to their manager. The subsequent day of checkout, I also escalated the same issue to the front desk staff. She took down my contact information but I have not heard back.

This is a three-star hotel with pretensions of being a five-star hotel. 1. Check in: rude clerk who refused to provide basic information about the hotel or assistance in finding a nearby place to have lunch. 2. Room amenities are non-existant, e.g. supposedly there are bathrobes but there were none. No bottled water or even a turn down service at night. 3. Coffee pods not replaced, I had to go around looking for the chambermaid to get a few since there were none in the room.

So I had originally sent the below message to David Connor directly but it’s possible the email address I used was incorrect or perhaps it went into junk mail. Either way I hope someone sees this and passes along my appreciation to Margaret in reservations who I feel was most helpful in booking my stay. I wanted to take a moment and recognize a member of your team who provided a level of service that went beyond expectation! I had been trying to book a 3 night stay at the Queen Elizabeth but was only able to secure two nights. It was suggested I keep calling to try and catch a cancellation. Twice the system indicated that there was availability to extend a 3rd night. The first time when the person tried to book it it immediately updated and said there were no rooms. But the second time it seemed to have worked and I even got as far as receiving a confirmation email but then moments later I received a call from Margaret who was very apologetic to inform me that the system was incorrect to have booked that. I had already booked another place as back up so it wasn’t the end of the world but it would have been convenient to stay all 3 nights in one place. Nevertheless Margaret took it upon herself to do what she could to make this happen. I would still call in to get lucky with a cancellation just in case. There was a note on my file that I was looking for an extra night but It can’t hurt to have two people trying I suppose. Any time I called I seemed to get Margaret anyway and she assured me she was still keeping an eye out and working on it. Finally Tuesday when we spoke she informed me that she was 95% certain that she would make it work. She mentioned another party (never got the name) needed to confirm some details but she would get back to me shortly Sure enough she called and we were all set for the 3 nights! Not sure but exactly went on behind the scenes but I can sense that it wasn’t an easy thing to make happen. She could have left it to me to continue checking and that would have been perfectly acceptable. I can tell you I will be sharing this story with fiends and colleagues. All too often people only share negative experiences. I think the positive ones are the ones that should be at the forefront. I don’t know what recognition programs you have in place but I would love to hear that she receives something at the highest end of the spectrum
