We were only here for a quick trip to shred the mountain. Only my second time staying in Tremblant, first time on the mountain. Super great experience, and it was really nice being able to easily get to the hotel from the slopes. Comfy room, great hot tub, quiet rooms. Only thing is I wish the bar was open later. We got in around 11:30 after an 8 hour drive and by the time we got our room key and got back to the lobby there was no place to get a drink and relax a bit before bed.

We were in GOLD package on 7th floor. The room was terrific, clean and airy, and all of the people at the service/concierge were extremely pleasant. The 5:00 to 7:00 pre-dinner "bites" were a welcome surprise; everything was very tasty. The breakfasts were brilliant. The only negative aspect of our stay was the indoor pool. The water was like tepid bath water, and slightly viscous. That exterior pools are heated in winter is understandable, but inside pools should be brisk. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel with such muggy water. And trust me, having been raised in the country, and having been an air cadet, very little troubles me, but this was a little gross.

We were very excited for our recent stay at Fairmont Tremblant, our first as a young family. We were traveling with our 8 month old daughter. We arrived and were treated very well by the valet and check in staff. However upon check in the staff wanted to ensure we were able to check in immediately instead of waiting with our young daughter. As a result he provided us with a room that was ready, which was a nice gesture but ended up being the reason for our disappointing stay. The room was on the main floor next to the lounge behind some service doors. It felt like it was a room that is only used if the hotel is completely full or as a final option. At first we thought of asking for a switch but decided it would be fine for our stay. However later that evening and throughout the night we could hear the sounds of chairs being dragged around neighboring rooms, things being dropped on floors and lots of commotion in either the room above or around us. We would have asked to be switched however our daughter had fallen asleep and we had already unpacked so to move a sleeping baby and all our gear seemed daunting. These noises continued throughout the night until approx 1:30am and resumed again at 4am. We came to the conclusion the room we were in must have been next to a supply room or staff room of some sort and the noises were overwhelming. As a result we had a very terrible sleep only getting a couple of hours of sleep. This was intended to be a nice, relaxing getaway as a young family to recharge and it was far from it. We were excited to get back home to get some rest. It was too bad because we enjoyed the location of the hotel and amenities. This was an expensive room and the price paid did not reflect the experience we received and were very disappointed in Fairmont. For the price of Fairmont hotels and the experience we recieved we would now be reluctant to book a Fairmont hotel in the future.

« Great but far from excellent »

Overall I enjoyed the accommodation experience and was treated well. Grounds were clean and well maintained considering the age of the facility (starting to look dated however). Service was excellent when I arrived and staff were very attentive. I wish I could say the same thing upon check-out when I was left to fend for myself and haul all my baggage and equipment from the bell cart (which was put far away from my car) to my car. Many staff saw me doing this and walked by me and nobody stopped to offer any help whatsoever. I'm fine managing on my own however at least an offer to help or acknowledgement would have been appreciate as definitely there was a disconnect in service level between my arrival and departure. I also noticed an error in my invoice which I called the reservation team after I arrived home and they indicated they will need to review the telephone "recording" from when I booked my accommodation. It was also indicated that this process would take 1 to 2 days and I would hear back from somebody. I initiated this process back on March 7th and it is now March 13th and I have not heard back from any Fairmont staff regarding this matter. I'm displeased with the lack of follow-up to a matter that I find quite important. Why should I be the one having to chase this down which is what I will end up having to do. I would have rated my experience at a higher level if you were able to deliver the same excellent service I experienced when I arrived and during my stay upon my departure and afterwards. Considering I myself am an executive in an elite luxury travel service, I would look to remedy this process should it have occurred within my company affecting my client.

« We were very pleased with our stay. »

The lobby fireplace is awesome. The rooms are comfortable. The Staff is very congenial. We love the location to the Mountain and the amenities such as, roasting marshmallows, tubing, Gondola Rides. All the shops and restaurants are awesome, except for LaForge. Do not go there! We had an awful experience there with an inattentive waiter and being charged for food we did not get. Other than that we loved our stay and will gladly recommend the Farimont Tremblant to others!

« The lounge in the Gold Section was great. The room was quite loud, was noises all night from the elevator. The hot tub and pool area were extremely busy. »

I enjoyed the Gold Lounge. The room was very nice, clean and tidy. The service was good. The room however was quite loud. There were noises I believe from the elevator that made it very difficult to sleep. The hot tub area, pool area, etc. were always over full.

« Great location, nice hotel, and enjoyable outside heated pool »

The service at this hotel is excellent. The stuff makes sure every request is rapidly executed. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of pillows. I wish the WiFi was complementary in the rooms (most of hotels are ). Unfortunately the rooms are updated and the washrooms need a makeover. I just wish that, when I searched to book the room on the hotels site, I right away got the best price available. After searching on expedia and finding a cheaper price, I called the reservation of the hotel and their price on the phone was the same as Expedia (which was about 50$ cheaper).

« Didn’t get what I paid for »

I prepaid for a room with a king bed. At check in, I was strongly encouraged to upgrade my room for a discounted price. I was considering it until the employee (David) told me it was a queen bed. My wife and I immediate said no, and that we had to have a king. So David then processsed our check in, handed me the key cards, and said he “still gave us an upgrade.” We said thanks and walked to our room. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the room had a queen bed! We were in disbelief. We immediately called the front desk, explained the situation, and were told that the hotel had sold out of king bedrooms. HOW CAN THAT BE?!?!? We booked AND PREPAID for a king bed. We simply can’t sleep in a queen. Had we known that there was a risk of not actually getting a king, we would’ve stayed at another hotel. The manager gave us half off the first night, but that’s not enough. Again, we didn’t get what we paid for. Why should I pay anything? Worst service I’ve ever experienced, no doubt about it.

I love an armchair in a hotel room, so I was happy. I invited 3 grandchildren for a swim in the outdoor pool. They were extatic when hot chocalate was served amongst the snowbanks.

« Nearly froze due to Hotel error »

Hello, aside from the room the knowledge and guidance from staff is 75% of what makes a good stay at a hotel. On the night of Jan 18th I had asked the concierge what the best route would be to get over to our La Savoie (fondue restaurant) in the village reservation. It was extremely cold those evenings but they insisted we walk over (my wife, my two sons ages 5 and 9 and myself). They also told use to take the back entrance via the pool to get there. Our reservation was for 7:30 p.m. We walked there and made it there. We proceeded to walk about at 10 p.m. immediately following the dinner service and it was 2 F at the time. When we got to the gate it was LOCKED. My two sons nearly died of hyperthermia. We luckily found La Shack's doors open and stood there till i was able to get security to come to gate to open it. The hotel should have informed us of this prior and told us to take an alternate. Really disappointing. i complained to the front desk the next morning but only a simple Sorry - i couldn't believe it. My kids nearly froze to death.

I'm very sorry to hear that you encountered such an issue. Indeed, January is one of the coldest months of the winter. Our hotel entrance down by the village should remain open at all times and in case of a private event being held on the terrace level, there is an alternate door that is then kept open. I'm so sorry to hear that signage for this was not properly installed and I will certainly investigate further and see how we can improve. We thank you for your feedback.
