I love the rooms! I would however suggest that the AWA have a more extensive menu of salads and smaller plates, especially since it's the only open restaurant at lunch.

Overall I would have expected a far better level of service from a Fairmont. Examples: You say kids 5 & under are free. Well they are but only in certain restaurants at certain times. I was disappointed my 2 year old and 5 year old couldn't order lunch by the pool. I would have rather had a voucher for one meal than to pack them up and take them to a restaurant. Our rooms were sub-par and needed updating. Our fan was broken, light didn't work and the crib that was put in our room was the wrong size and was broken. Why is the safe in the floor so you have to bend over to get to it? Also, our pull-out bed didn't work and my husband had to rip it out every time because it got stuck. Per your website our kids were supposed to be greeted with a bucket + sand toys etc and that didn't happen because you are "green" yet you sell them in the gift shop and I saw a couple of VIP guests on instagram receiving them. Additionally I had a nightmare of a time with your accounting staff trying to pre-pay for this.

We all take great pride in providing our guests with the highest standards of service, therefore I am very sorry to learn that we failed to meet your expectations on this occasion regarding your suite accommodations; please allow me to express my sincere apologies. Your feedback is very important to us and I wish to assure you that we take all comments seriously and we will address these issues accordingly. Although we may not always enjoy receiving negative feedback, it certainly allows us to continuously review the services we provide and help us to concentrate our training efforts where needed to build the confidence and skills of our colleagues. Our Kids eat free program is describe below, please let me know if this was not your experience as I have a few questions regarding your comments about not being available at certain times and would like to follow up internally. We are proud to offer our Keiki Dining Program and kid friendly cuisine at Kea Lani Restaurant, AMA Bar & Grill, and Kō. Children five years of age and under eat for free when ordering from the keiki menu and dining with a registered adult guest ordering an entrée from regular menu. Children 6-12 years of age can order from the keiki menu at full price, or order a half portion from the regular dining menu with 50% off menu pricing. The Keiki Dining Program is extended to registered hotel guests only and is not valid at LUANA, Cafe Ciao Bakery + Market, Nick's Fishmarket, In-Room Dining and Poolside Dining. For more details, please inquire with your server. I apologize for your children not receiving a welcome gift upon arrival as we were in the process of changing our offering due to reducing our foot print on the island with the excess of plastic buckets we were giving out every year. Please let me know a preferred address and I would be more than happy to send them our new amenity to enjoy and be able to keep as a memory of their time with us (along with their names so we can personalize it). Please note that your visit was an exception to our normal experience, therefore I would be happy to provide you a complimentary two night stay for a future stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui as well as my assistance. Please confirm I should be sending your gift certificate to the address we have on file. Regarding your interaction with trying to prepay for your stay, could you let me know of the issues so I can follow up internally with our team. Everything was wonderful with one exception...the inconsistent room servicing was so disruptive. We stayed at the hotel for 12 nights and had to send the turndown service away on numerous occasions due to either being so early or late (when we were already in bed). Housekeeping were wonderful when they made up the room but also on numerous occasions the servicing was so late in the day, we were getting ready for dinner despite being away from the room from late morning to mid-afternoon. I had to call to get fresh towels on more than 2 occasions. THIS was a big surprise to us and not had this on previous Kea Lani or other Fairmont stays.

Service was good. The property, specifically the rooms are in need of a refresh. The room was beat up a bit and really smelled musty. The carpet was not real clean.

The room was outstanding, exquisite view. The room was booked through the CSA conference. Stayed extra days to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. Your employees are very personable. The names I can recall are Dasha, and Keoni by the pool. Brittany (I think) and Blanca at Ko’s. And of course, Dave at Nicks. What you really need to focus on is the cleanliness of the door knobs and sliding door handles (very dirty) in the rooms. For that matter throughout the hotel. Door handles are disease transmitters. Refrigerator in room wasn’t really cooling, bottle waters you provided never got cool. Another pet peeve is KO’s restaurant wanting to charge $3.00 to split a burger. Understand if it’s a dinner meal - but a burger! Wraps are already split. Besides all of this - we had a great time. Mahalo

this is their second time staying at this location. I am always impressed with The great service and the amenities, especially the pool and access to the beach. This is the first time we stayed in the Villa. Although expensive, it was nice and having the golf cart drivers to the door with the luggage was priceless. Whenever service was called, it was timely and exceptional. Our only issues was that our laundry was leaking which led to some flooding and we lost about 2-3 hours while they fixed it. The plunge pool was too cold to use even after they turned on the heat exchange which was a disappointment for us and the kids. Minor issue, but some of the reused pillows were pretty stinky so we had to exchange them. Other than these issues, first day was great and we look forward to doing it again next year.
