my hotel experience was superb. From the time w arrived at the hotel to the time we left everything was wonderful. The front desk staff was very accommodating with my elderly mother, providing us with rooms in the main building w, which minimized the walking to our rooms.

I LIKED THE HOTEL VERY MUCH, HOWEVER MY ROOM WAS DISTY, IN THAT THE FLOORS HADN'T BEEN SWEPT INTO THE CORNERS - HAIRS AND STUFF WHERE LEFT THERE. THE TEA BAGS WERE NOT REPLACED, AND SERVICE WAS SLOW, ESPECIALLY IN THE LOBBY BAR/DINER. I LOVED THE POOLS AND WILL DEFINATELY COME BACK.

The room I was provided with had a lightbulb out and a phone that didn't work which necessitated getting a new room. The new room had a valve problem with the shower which required maintenance to attend to. Staff was very helpful but the experience had some hiccups.

I enjoyed my experience until Saturday when I discovered my room including bed infested with ants (late evening) - room 462. While housekeeping was very nice, I had to move to room 466 - left part of my belongings in 462 and took part as I was checking out Sunday. It was surprising to have this happen and while housekeeping was responsive, I would have thought the management would have at least acknowledged the incident. On Wednesday and Thursday I was part of the Ironshore conference but Friday and Sat(11/10 and 12/1) I was vacationing and while a number of others chose to move to other hotels, I decided to stay and it was frustrating.

« Comfortable room and nice setting. »

I was pleased with my check in service and the room was better than I expected since I had a view of the side marina. I had several meetings at the hotel, and one dinner, and the service was fine. I appreciated that my contacts were happy to suggest meeting in the cafe. I only wish there had been a place to purchase a light breakfast rather than sitting at the cafe.

Amazing stay with a surprised upgrade to a Fairmont Gold Suite. Staff were amazing, hotel is beautiful, So much art, I was actually shocked at how much art was dotted about the property. Only issue which I've raised is the daily cleaning fee which is not made known anywhere or at any point. A little annoying considering we'd left the cleaners a tip already and only noticed on my folio on the way to the airport.
