« Great hotel, great location »

Was attending a national nursing conference. Stayed for 4 nights. Would have given it a 10 except for a few things. Went to Starbucks in the hotel one morning and the line was unbelievable, I had to go 3 blocks away to another Starbucks to get my coffee and make it back on time. They need more help at these busy times in the Starbucks when hotel is full capacity. Also I was not happy with the concierge. Seemed like either they weren't a the desk when I was walking by, they were on the phone helping someone or so busy they couldn't help you. When I was there each time there was only one person and it was to busy for only one person to handle. Also my tv remote would not work every night. I called the front desk and they said they would have someone call me about it and no one ever called the first time. The second time I called I told her that the last time they said some one would call and no one did, however it started to work for me. If not for these things which I feel are important I would give the hotel a 10.

« Fell Short of Expectations »

I stayed at your hotel while attending a local conference. Unfortunately, my stay fell short of my expectations for the following reasons: 1. My room was cold and the thermostat did not control the temperature despite having two engineers come to my room and try to correct the issue; 2. Although I was provided with a daily supply of bar soap, no soap dish was provided at the bathroom seek to store it; 3. There were 3 burned out light bulbs in my room; and 4. Staff at the hotel concierge desk could not tell me where the nearest USPS office was and did not offer to look the information up.

« We were treated like royalty. »

Initially when we checked in our room was not ready. We finally got into our room around 3:30 pm and found our safe did not work. We called about the safe and it was fixed quickly. I received an email asking us if everything was satisfactory and I mentioned I was disappointed that we waited to get our room for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Well they couldn't do enough for us to make up for it. They were very generous and following up to make sure that our stay was perfect. Simeon was such a pleasure to work with. The service was excellent and everyone knew our names from the hostess at the restaurant (delicious lunch and breakfast) to the bellhops. In addition, the hotel has a starbucks attached which was an added bonus. The fitness center was clean and nice. The hotel is in the perfect part of town. We were able to walk to all the museums and close to the parks. When we come back to Dallas, we are definitely staying at the Dallas Fairmont. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend.

« The Fairmont is a nice hotel in an excellent location »

Friendly staff, nice conference accommodations, average rooms for this type of hotel. I wish the room could get slightly cooler to sleep at night. But I would definitely stay again, as the location is wonderful! Walkable or short ride to many Dallas points.

« No phone service! »

I unfortunately forgot my phone in car on way to airport. The phone in the room had a lot of static and I could not hear messages being left. I notified the front desk 4 times!! I finally got moved to another room. Never received one phone call and it cost me $12 to call out.

I booked the room months ago was booked as a king - called several days before to confirm told it was a room with two double beds again told them my request was a king - they said they would add it but otherwise maybe I could have a room with 1 queen I told them this was fine.. My husband called the day before again speaking to staff. we arrived and were given a double showed paper work at ( 2am- arrival) finally after the girl went into the back room twice we were given a queen room not sure why this didn't happen in the beginning. Also when we got home we looked at the bill and we were only given the " group" discount for the car on the first night not all 3. We were also charged for a bottle of water we did not drink and had to bring this to the attention of the desk .

« Centrally located, nice accommodations »

We had a very easy time navigating Dallas from this location. Every staff person we encountered (save one rather lackluster interaction with one of the lounge bartenders) was lovely, accommodating, and extremely professional. I would certainly recommend the Gold Level experience to anyone staying at this hotel- it was very convenient to have breakfast and coffee before we started out our days,

Accommodations were good - comfortable, clean, quiet rooms. My major disappointment was the very limited bar menu, which made it difficult to eat in the bar.& watch the game.

« It was clean, neat, and quiet but not exceptional. »

Almost everything was fine except the first night of my stay. There were 2 of us in one room but only 1 washcloth. There was no bathroom fan so the room fogged up after my shower and the mirror had to be wiped down to use.
