I was truly excited to stay here due to it name and reputation. I had cancelled my reservations at the Wyndham, just to stay closer to the HCI event. Honestly, I was not really impressed. I was expecting more for almost $400/night for a regular king size room. I am used staying VIP at Wyndham Resorts/Hotels where we have suites for this price. The lobby area wasn't really bright and decorative; was not inviting. That lobby rug needs to be updated. The only microwaves for customers use is located on the South Tower of the Hotel (a long walk from the North Tower). The rooms were nice, but not worth almost $400 night. The King size bed was too soft; the memory foam pillows were soft, flat and had lost their memory. The tub/Shower combo is very small and narrow, with the handicap rails in place, you can hardly maneuver around in the tub to shower. The ancient shower head is crazy. It is not detachable and it's hard to move around. No towel racks in the bathroom to hang reusable towels. Does provide complimentary tea and coffee. No fridge/microwave in the room. Ice maker on floor very nice In room service from the Pyramid Restaurant was good and quick. The food was delicious. Had a problem with my room telephone, the maintenence man came to investigate and had advised someone would come and change the phone on 11/8/17. Checked out on 11/12/17 and still no one had shown up to replace the phone. It's amazing, there were alot of others(HCI conference attendees) who felt the same way as I did. We were expecting a more upscale hotel for the price.

« Lovely hotel, understaffed for a large venue. »

Staff was lovely but not enough to accommodate large groups.

« very comfortable »

the room was quiet; AC wasn't too loud; bed was very comfortable; people were so friendly; I couldn't hear the slamming of the doors as much; the only negative was the water stains on the bathroom wallpaper - it's hard to see except at a certain angle

« Expected more for the money »

The staff was not friendly, especially the lady in the gift shop, she stated she would rather not give us change for a $20, that we could walk up to front desk and get change. The valet drivers were pushy and rude. The showerhead in bathroom was very cheap and bathroom overall was grungy.

« An 'ok' stay for the price... »

Overall the hotel is nice, our room however, was needing repair. The hot water faucet handle fell off 3 times and the hardware in the shower came loose several times. There was no water pressure in the shower, but thankfully, we were never in need of hot water. Great workout facility. The Starbucks located in the lobby was also a nice addition. Food was mediocre (for a large crowd I suppose that's to be expected). Nice location. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here before. All was fine but suffered food poisoning from something we ate at the gold floor concierge room durin the day of November 10th. Neither my wife or I could leave our room on the 11th, and only later on the 12th. We are still feeling ill. This soured our stay.

« Great as always! »

Fairmont is our number one choice when we are travelling. This was our second time in Dallas staying with them and the service was excellent. The location is great, the restaurant onsite (Pyramid) is amazing.

« Nice stay for business trip »

I enjoyed the hotel, room was clean, view was nice. The shower though, had bad water pressure - but I was on the 23rd floor. The shower head was also short (low), I'm only 6'1" so it's not that I'm really tall or anything, but I had to bend over to take my shower, not very comfortable. Restaurant had good food, a great burger, and bar staff were all very nice. All-in all, I would stay here again if I'm ever in Dallas.

« old school »

For a $300+ night hotel I would expect a free bottle of water in the room...don't bother me by having someone knock on the door to give me a free water...just have house keeping leave it in the room. No bathrobe in room....although a coworker in a different room had one. Wifi was very spotty. Package delivery via UPS was very bad (not timely and closed on Sunday...basically holding packages hostage).

Hotel overall is fine. Room 1010 has a peculiar odor and air seems quite stale. Also faucet in sink is loose. I think HVAC needs to be investigated. Air in Bathroom smelled faintly like bad cologne.

« Disappointed. »

Very disappointing, 4 nights our sheets never changed, some days garbage not taken. Took 8 hours and 3 calls with one face to face request at the consiearge to get a corkscrew to open a bottle of vine in our room. Only an outdoor pool without heat, ymca pool not open. There is more....

The room was acceptable - however in need of updating. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, the heating/cooling was not so efficient (had a hard time keeping the room cool), carpeting didn’t meet the bathroom door and the shower head was weak and leaking.

The hotel is extremely old. Fossets and the shower head and the toilet were from the 19th century.
