« Lovely but room was dissapointing »

The staff were lovely and my kids had a lovely surprise waiting for them when we came, which made their year. The hotel was lovely and as usual the sports center was amazing. However our room was very dissapointing. The shower was so hard that the kids cried in pain and we had to shower them in the pool change rooms. We also constantly had strange men walking outside of our room as we were on the first floor. We all felt quite uncomfortable.

I had a wonderful time: we skated, snowshoed, and explored the area. The service Wes incredible: we felt like VIPs! Our room was spacious and immaculately cleaned throughout our stay. We dined at two of your restaurants and the food was delicious! The hospitality and restaurant service were incredible!

« The great outdoors »

Very pleasant stay overall. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was fun having a skating and hockey rink on site and ending the day in the outdoor pool was great. Rooms were really quiet which was great. Only turnoff was being told that activities for the kids had all been reserved in advance. No where were we told this was possible. Activity booking should only be allowed when on site. Also, rooms were not deluxe as advertised but rather standard rooms.

Our family stayed during March break and we had a wonderful time. The waitstaff was attentive, and helpful. Food was quite good as were our drinks at the bar and restaurants. One night our son was sick, and the staff was very helpful to change the bedsheets, etc and left us with extra linens and told us if we neede anything, at any hour to call. This same staff member even came back to our room with water bottles and to make sure everything was ok without us even calling housekeeping. I found the staff very helpful, polite and warm. I think this has been the best Fairmount experience yet. The area is breathtaking, and our upgraded room had wonderful views of the water. The sunrises were spectacular. We enjoyed walks in the forest, the outdoor pools, dog sledding, the local bakery. The hotel itself is beautiful. And did not feel crowded at any point. It was nice to have kids house coats to go to the pool, and all the March break activities were well done. We will definitely be coming back next March break and are planning to also visit this summer with extended family. My only wish, were that the bill at check out was easier to understand. I always find them confusing. Thank you to Charlotte (I apologize I am terrible at names) our lovely breakfast waitress and the mystery housekeeper (never got her name) who saved the day on the 5th.

We had a very good stay at Manoir Richelieu. Outdoor heated pool is fantastic. Snowshoeing and skating were great too. All the sports goods were available for free. Only caveat: the restaurant Le Charlevoix was closed during this week (which was the big break, with a full hotel).

« A wonderful mini getaway during spring break 2019! »

Our family experience at the Le Manoir Richelieu was fabulous. The staff were exceptional - all very kind and welcoming. Le Manoir Richelieu certainly has the feel and charm of a old time family resort but with the added class of being a Fairmont hotel. We are looking forward to our next trip to Le Manoir - hopefully during the summer months when we can see the Whales. Thanks very much for a wonderful few days and for many great family memories!

« Not at all what we expected. We expected better. »

Not at all what we expected. We expected better. The room was nice at an inflated rate since we were convinced to "UPGRADE" to a River-view Room although the hotel was not near full. Obviously I was not going to be given a decent room unless I accepted to pay for the upgrade. When the hotel is not full, why would you not offer better accommodation? The washroom, although nice, was incredibly small for such a large room. No place to set a shaving kit!
