« Great Valentine/Bday weekend getaway! »

We often stay at the Manoir for a weekend getaway . Great place to relax and celebrate . This occasion we celebrated my husband's birthday and Valentine'S day. We had an awesome time, the staff treat us well. HIgh recommendations to the Sports Centre, Nadia and her team who always takes good care of us each time we visit. The only issue I had this visit was we went to the St Laurent for breakfast, as the breakfast was included in our package. I chose to eat there, as I did not like the other restaurant downstairs . I was not greeted well upon reception, and was told I had to make a reservation or had to wait til 11 am. I said I did not mind to wait to 25 minutes. It was worth the wait and the extra fee. Last visit youe employee misinformed me and I ate potates that contained gluten. I was ill for 3 days. To my surprise 5 minutes later, the came and seated us, and the restuarant was half empty. I dont know why I was given a hard time at the beginning. I spoke with the older woman in the kitchen and she pointed out to me everything that was GF, she even had the two people working in the food preparation to bring me a piece of chicken with no sauce and a GF brownie. Unfortunately, the staff never came and delivered this. Very disappointing with the staff in the restaurants, both visits. Gluten Alergy is growing more and more these days, I am surprised the Fairmont can't accomadate their clients The last issue was I requested a late check out for 1 pm , as Accor Member I believe we have the priviledge. We were refused. At noon, there was not one maid on our floor ready to start cleaning all the rooms. Other than that, our room was perfect, nice view of the garden, comfortable beds, and everything was clean. We will definately return, as we always do

« Great visit for rest and relaxation after a day of travel by snowmobile »

Booked the snowmobile package -loved the indoor parking , free beer and scrumptious breakfast buffet. My room was lovely with every amenity one could ask for. I would have gave it a 10 if there was a bellman available to greet and assist us with access into the underground garage and taking our luggage. We had to carry all our gear up a flight of stairs to the lobby / reception.

« Great service and excellent food »

This is a yearly tradition that includes using almost every services of your beautiful hotel. This year didn’t disappoint! All food and drinks were delicious and served with excellence. The only recommandation I would have is for the floor lobby bar server (Saturday evening) to have a little more training before being left alone to fend for himself. He clearly didn’t have sufficient knowledge or training (service and technique) to be on his own. At least compared to every other staff we’ve encountered during our stay. Everyone from the pool/gym, spa, reception, room service, housekeepers, bellman/doorman to each restaurant staff was simply amazing. Thank you and we can only hope to see them next year!

Lots of children screaming in the hallways. My bathroom fan on the ceiling was dirty. Wasn’t able to operate the television easily. Found crumbs under desk and in chair. Stain on the wall.

« Winter wonderland brought to life at Richelieu »

Wonderful stay, we even extended it and stayed a full week. We had our lab retriever with us, which enhanced the experience to be able to engage in winter hikes/exploration with him in tow. Lots of fun with live music in lobby, appreciated having some traditional Quebec/folk music as part of that experience. Pool facilities were very busy and loud, so we didn't try those out. Ideally having some adult hours for use would have helped, even if it's post 9pm. The one area that fell short of expectations was food at restaurants. We tried every one, with the Charlevoix being the most disappointing. Ordered duck, which was too chewy and dry. For the price, there wasn't a taste-experience that aligned. Pretty average to below average.Presentation of food was fine.

« Another great vacation at Le Manoir Richelieu »

The staff was amazing as always, very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel lobby was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays - very elegant! I love the variety of family-friendly activities organized by the hotel. The skiing at Mont Grand-Fonds is exceptional. We will be back in March for Spring Break and very much looking forward to it.

« Not comparable to Fairmont’s usual service »

The experience has been terrible. The buffet breakfast on Jan 1, 2019 was probably the worst breakfast I have had, I even took photos of the poor quality of the meal offered (everything was dry, cold, not replaced with fresh ones). The cleaning crew did not respect our sign that we were enjoying a moment of intimacy at several occasions. The staff was all contractual one during holidays and nobody seemed to know what they were doing. We asked on several occasions at Service Royal to bring us ustensils and 2 plates on Dec 29. We made 3 calls at least but they never came. We actually had to walk downstairs to the restaurant and grab them directly on a table. It was an experience that we do not want to repeat and we are not convinced that we will be back at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu

In typical Fairmont tradition, the hotel is very elegant with several dining options. We loved the outdoor hot tub and swimming pool at -15C. Excellent service at the spa.
