We stayed at the Manoir to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. We loved the grounds, personnel, food and our room. My wife was looking forward to a low key evening in our room with room service but was disappointed with the choices available and we had to go down to the restaurant to eat. The only other thing a tried at to separate occasions to reach front desk and was not able to... Over all we were both very happy with our stay and my wife was well looked after thank you...

While the site is scenic and the feel of the hotel as welcoming as always, the conference room was frigid despite multiple requests to have the temperature increased. My room was also cold but at least I had some control over this (although setting the temperature to 25 only brought the temperature up to just under 22). The water pressure in the shower of my room (293) was extremely weak, making it very hard to wash and rinse my hair.

A $400+ per nite hotel offering a Holiday Inn level of service.

Although we checked in on-line, we missed the obscure check-in desk at the entrance (the doormen were no help in this regard). However, the main desk clerk went down to retrieve our key (merci to her). No map of the hotel was offered. Two of the three restaurants were closed even though it was a busy weekend. The T&T was noisy and busy and the food only average. A special recognition for Remi Tremblay who was especially friendly and attentive. Great view but if you sat in the Brise bar to enjoy it, the background music was very loud. There were no bathrobes in our room. The coffee pods weren't replenished. Room make-up was slow. The door latch to room 951 doesn't close properly. The additional fee for facilities such as the pool is very low class. All in all, a mediocre experience in what should be a 5 star luxury hotel.

Ok but a few bumps No way to find something to eat, except at the restaurant which is expensive. There should be a convenience store at the hotel with vegan options. Very little vegetarian food in the buffet. We forgot a pair of shoes in the room. We went back 2-3 hours after leaving the room to retrieve them and there was no way to get them back apparently. They would call us if they found them, which of course, they never did. Concierge nice but helped a couple for a very long time with a ton of touristy details, never considering telling me 'a moment please' or 'I'll be right with you', completely ignoring me as all I wanted was to get a ticket in exchange of my luggage while I attend my conference in the PM (which took 10 seconds) so I was late at my conference.

I do the online check-in on September 25, I specifically mentioned arrival 15h. Knowing this, my wife books a massage for 15:30. We checked in at around 14:40. Fine room not ready, fair enough after all I did request 15h. 15h comes along, room not ready, 15:30 still not ready, my wife is forced to cancel massage. She’s not very happy...16:00 still not ready, 16:20, finally ready. Unacceptable!!! Why the online check-in if we can’t benefit from it. On check-out, we ask for a late check out, extra hour or two if possible. What was the response, a straight arrogant NO!! After all we have been throug when we arrived...this women at front desk with the attitude simply points out, it is what it is and there is nothing we can do. Late check-out refused! Service at the bar, useless...we had to practically beg for attention...are they unionized? Casino! Come on! Closed at 23:00 On a Friday night!!! ARE YOU KIDDING!! I was part of the AOQ meeting. You had 400 potential customers ready to spend. Are you certain you are interested to stay in business?!?! Thank God for the scenery or else the Manoir would be in ruins with cobwebs in the lobby....

I feel there should be regular coffee in the rooms and in the lobby available . There seemed the be a staff shortage at breakfast. We also found the dinner menu very different. However these are not critisisms only suggestions. We were celebrating our anniversary and two birthdays and the staff provided cake and decorative squares which we really appreciated. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Nothing can beat the views at this location and the history behind this hotel is so interesting. What was not up to par however was the service. There is a long wait at check in time and the service in the restaurant downstairs is not at all what it should be for a hotel at this price range or calibre. We stayed 3 nights and had 2 suppers downstairs and 3 breakfasts. The wait staff does not acknowledge the customers when they sit and the service is very slow and subpar. One morning as sat there for over 10 minutes before I went to get someone to let them know that I was not yet brought juice or tea. Other tables around me arrived 5 and 10 minutes after me and were served. The same thing for supper. Wait staff seemed grumpy most of the time and uninterested in offering courteous service. I have noticed the service standard going down at the Fairmont hotels the last few years. Enough that I have chosen other hotels instead in the past knowing that I will get better service. The exception to my comment about service would be "Rachel" who helped me correct an error that was made online at the time of booking when I called the Fairmont reservations line. For some reason, anytime I go into the Accorhotels online to book, it automatically gives me a "no cancelation policy for my reservation" that cannot be altered. It was not giving me the standard 48 hour cancellation. This is annoying as now I cannot book online for the Fairmont without getting this option of "no cancellation" . I called the hotel directly 2 days in a row and they could not even see my reservation. Frustrating. Pierre at the Fairmont Richelieu was kind but could not see the reservation to fix the problem so I called the main line. Rachel was wonderful and made the switch quickly and I even ended up with a better rate a few days later and the 48 hour cancellation instead of the "no cancel" policy. I would say this stay was frustration with regards to booking and service but the views......are a must see.

It was our second visit. I don’t feel compelled to visit again. Value was not there.

Great to be back again in such a beautiful space but disappointed in the limited menu choices and the shock of being forced to pay for early morning coffee when breakfast was included.

Spectacular scenery and facility but staff seemed stressed and overworked. Not many friendly greetings in the hallways etc as in past visits. Menu choices seemed very limited compared to our many past visits. We had planned to eat at the hotel much more but ended up at the chicken place next door due to limited menu selections. Also surprised to have to ask for bathroom toiletries. Pool is terrific. This is one of the most amazing hotel locations in Canada. I love this hotel and have visited it often. I hope the past high quality food selections will return and that Accor will restore the previous high standards. Accor needs to run this hotel like a landmark property the way it was run before. Sad to see the Accor decline!

We were told only of the one dining facility. We were in a cafeteria type environment which was rushed and very noisy. We didn’t know there was another dining room until it was too late to make a reservation. We should have been informed of the other dining room which we certainly would have chosen. We were expecting a quiet and pleasant dining experience, instead we were in an environment which was noisy , very noisy and rushed. The hotel has a casino and apparently this is the restaurant the casino goers use. We were also told that there was only a buffet breakfast available. We don’t go to Fiirmont hotels for cafeteria and buffet meals. It was very disappointing and although we don’t travel that often in Canada we certainly talk to lots of friends who ask for recommendations. We will not give a positive recommendation

Well received. Staff pleasant. Had one breakfast included. We were a group of four adults. We were seated in the back room when the tables on the other side were empty. Asked to be seated at a window and was told the back was just as pleasant. It wasn’t. Quite a few children were there and it was loud and hard for my elderly mother to hear us. We got up and asked to be seated on the other side. We were seated at a table, at a window, where it was quiet and with a lovely view...which was what we had requested when we first arrived. This was the only disappointing part of our stay.

The hotel is very very nice, starting with the staff in the front desk, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, we went for a long walk, then to the pool, the view is very nice and to close we had an excellent breakfast .
