Staff was very welcoming.,polite and helpful .Rooms kept very clean,good bath products,gym was acceptable but could be further improved as more and more guests are interested in its use.TT restaurant big dissapointed as the quality of the food was bellow average and overpriced.Our room lacked closet or bags rest,very important.I strongely believe that this should ben't be included only in selective or more expensive rooms.

Unfortunate I would rate this Fairmount experience as just OK. Not what we are used to from the Fairmont. Staff from the valet , front desk, lounge, sports area were not particularly helpful . Slow to aid with luggage some staff even seemed unfamiliar with the hotel when we asked for directions. Overall we will not be back to this fairmont.

COMFORTABLE & RELAXING & ENJOYABLE -- our room was wonderful; the outside heated swimming pool we revisited a few times was really quite enjoyable & very welcomed by us, despite the gloomy weather during our 4-day/night stay (no sunshine, sporadic rain & chilly.) The VIEW from the Manoir's lawn-chairs overlooking the Fleuve was magnificent (& quite comfy in front of the fire-pit to keep us warm while enjoying the passing ships far out on the Fleuve St. Laurent directly down & stretched out as far as the eye could see in front of us.) When chased inside by the rain, we also enjoyed this same wonderful view from the comfortably glassed-in seating area/lounge stretching across the front of the Manoir. The underground tunnel from the Manoir Richelieu to the Casino Charlevoix was very convenient, considering all the rain & cool weather during our stay. As seniors, we did find the parking situation to be somewhat strenuous due to the presence of busy conventions the first two days of our visit. All parking lots were packed/filled, including the areas directly in front of the Manoir & Casino. We had to walk up & down some pretty steep outside hills, including roughly 100 wooden steps, in wet, cool weather, to reach the ONLY parking lot with available spots (P8.) It would be much better if folks staying at the Manoir for a number of days/nights could have continuous access to more convenient parking throughout their stay, especially if they are seniors with various health issues. Whenever we'd go out for a little drive & a bit of sightseeing, it was nearly always a hassle to find convenient parking upon our return to the Manoir.

This was our first time in Charlevoix, the place was beautiful but the only issue we had was with the parking. When we arrived, we asked the doormen where we can park and we circled 6-7 times to try to park in the free parking area. Since we took so long, we didn't go drive around cause we were worried that we will not be able to find parking.

The overall stay was correct but a lot of little things.... First of all, breakfast at the hotel... $30 + tax???? Plus everything in the warm buffet (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc) was cold. When we arrived in our room, there was no coffee and no bottle of water (complimentary). When we ask the reception we were rudely told that we need to ask for it???? When we checked out, the price for the room was incorrect and once again we were told that it was up to us to check???? They charge the couple in from of us the wrong price as well (they didn't complained so they paid the wrong price). This is really not the type of service you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

No air conditioning

This was our tenth stay and it was really bad. No air conditioning because the heater was still on, well that's what we were told which did nothing to bring the temperature down and it was 26 celsius in the room, none of us slept and somehow, when my kids lose something they NEVER find it we lost a Nintendo switch remote this time and suprise they didn't find it . We stayed in room 242 from may 24 to the 26

Our stay can only be described as exceptional. From the moment we walked in we were treated with kindness and great service. Our check-in and check-out experience was perfect. I would like to commend the young lady who took care of us. Her customer service skills were exceptional. The valet staff were friendly and quick to retrieve our car and help with the baggage. The hotel is beautiful, the bed is comfortable and the room was quiet. We slept so well. The amenities are perfect. The pool area and the views are stunning. We used nice paths around the hotel for our health walks. We were so happy here we found it very difficult to leave. I highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back.
