not good room very small //as was the bathroom...no view very noisey...all nite and the ceiling was full of FLASHING LIGHTS ALL NITE INCLUDING A MOTION SENSOR THAT FLASHED EVERYTIME WE MOVED IN THE ROOM`!!!!The hall carpet smelled.... the main restaurant not open so had to eat at the bar>>>not a great selection tho bar guy very nice!!very disappointing... stay We missed the champagne event in the lobby because of traffic!! in the am i had breakfast at the bar and my eggs benedict had one egg full of water not yoke..told server ...they were not impressed many staff oblivious.. spa was also disappointing but dealth with it!!

Domingo and Cesar were very pleasant to work with at Claremont’s PSAV, as was Nannette in sales and catering. I feel there was a miscommunication with the sleeping room block when working with Kaila and I would hope that the room block proceeds more smoothly next year.

Arrived around 830pm. Quite frankly had to wait 5 mins for check in as only one person at desk. Room was small but efficient. Bathroom was quite spacious but water pressure in shower was completely inadequate. Took far too long to rinse off soap and shampoo.

I’ll be brief as I did share with staff my displeasure in being asked to leave the library area for a party who rented entire lobby area. I was a guest at the Hotel, I asked a friend to come by so we can catch up over wine in library but being asked to leave, for a special party was not something anticipated. Was not happy.

Effortless check-in and up to a gorgeous room and tower view of the Bay Area. Room service and off-site restaurant delivery was timely as well. Great accommodations resulting in a very chill time at a classic, landmark hotel. Not my first stay at the Claremont, but definitely the best stay I’ve had!

The service is impeccable where every staff member strives to be helpful. The fitness center is top notch even though it is temporary. Pool is nice. Rooms were very clean with comfortable sleeping. My only regret is that I only stayed one night.

All staff were great. Especially helpful guy named Allan saw me struggling with luggage and moving my disabled wife to car. He stopped what he was doing and helped us get to our cat and load up. I don’t thank that wasn his job, but nice guy stepped up to help.

Our stay was great. Having only one restaurant limited our eating choices. We attended tea on Sunday afternoon a party of four, we asked for extra sandwiches and were charged an outrageous amount to total bill. Four people $400.00!! Very expensive and each one of us had only had 1 selection. Of tea Quite disappointing!

Overall, great. I only had one thing that was strange. I ordered a meal to go (yogurt with granola) and instead of being put in a to go bowl, it was just thrown into a to-go box. The yogurt, granola and apples were just slopped into the box in a thin layer. Considering the price, this was a terrible presentation. It was unappetizing to eat.

We paid for a room with a view and were not disappointed! We had a spectacular view of San Francisco & the Golden Gate Bridge. There was seating at the windows so that we could enjoy the views comfortably. The room was comfortable and accommodated our family of 4. All the staff we interacted with were very nice. The room didn't have a TV remote when we arrived but one was brought up after we settled in. There was an issue with a charge for a mini-bar item that we didn't use but it was promptly resolved by the Hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

« Tv didn’t work, no apologies, not one little one even. »

Tv didn’t work but no one seemed interested at all. When i mentioned it at check out, the girl said, ‘not a problem’ absent mindedly, so i said ‘perhaps not for you but to me it was very disappointing’ and then she recovered and said, ‘of course. I understand. I can take the facilities tax off your bill’ This was fine but truly doesn’t imact me much. A simple ‘we are so sorry’ would have been much nicer. To make one feel cared for. I have been in your hotel around 10 times in two years and no one - even the people i have chatted with a few weeks previously - recognizes me or welcomes me back. Perhaps you can put it in your computer that guests have visited previously so that the check in person can say ‘welcome back, mrs so and so’ Many other 5 star hotels do that. I find it slightly insulting when i come so often that i am treated as a faceless number and that my mention of the broken tv is barely registered. Exception is one doorman and some of the concierge, suitcase carriers.

« Closet of a room and some housework needed »

I was a bit shocked at the European-like closet that we were assigned to upon check in. I truly have never been in such a small hotel room. In addition to the size the noise outside the room was deafening when guest arrived back to their rooms after 1 a.m. There is no noise control in the 2 inch gap under the door, nor is there light control as we had to put a towel there each night to shield the light. The bed, however, was comfortable--needed heavy blankets and better pillows though. The main areas of the hotel and exterior look like they are in serious need of a paint job, clean up, and some table/chair replacement in the outdoor bar. The "heat" lamps cannot be called heat lamps, they barely work and they are stuck in a downward position. The workout facility was another eyesore that needs no further explanation.

Our favorite place to stay when we visit our daughter at CAL. The last visit was the only issue we have ever had we had people above us playing loud music and sounded like dancing both nights. Second day I told front desk and that night called about midnight about same issue. Still our favorite place and staying again with you on again February 8th. Your valet workers are wonderful! Happy, remember your names. Excellent job to them!

« We had an amazing stay! »

This was our second visit in 6 months, and we loved it. The hotel views are incredible, the spa services were great, and the staff was very helpful. Our only constructive feedback is the service at the hotel restaurant and bar. It was extremely slow at both places and made us not want to come back to eat there.
