« Great family holiday »

The location is superb and most of the staff very friendly and welcoming. Many remembered us from last year which is nice. Beach and pool staff superb. Really enjoyed our trip, but I do feel there are a few areas that can be improved. 1. We book a room with a tub, but when we arrived we didn't have one. We raised this with the front desk twice, but no one came back to us. 2, The rooms have been upgraded since last year and are lovely, but the aircon is still from the 1970's and makes so much noise that you can't leave it on overnight! We complained about this, but nothing was done. 3. The staff at the beach club and this is a great relaxed venue for lunch, but there are not enough staff on duty and the food comes from elsewhere so most days it took an hour to get lunch and even drinks could take 20 minutes. when you are with kids this sort of wait is unacceptable. 4. The bar area is disappointing and uninviting, consequently it is hardly used which is a real shame. I do feel a hotel of this qualify should have a better bar area. Even the happy hour which encouraged people to have a sundowner has been stopped since last year/ This is a real shame as this was a great opportunity to meet other guests. 5. While we eat out most nights, I do think the restaurant could be better than it is and have more variety. we reported all of the above to the duty manager the day before we left and she said someone would come back to us before we left, but we heard nothing! Don't get me wrong we had a great holiday and will probably return again, but we do think that some of the above could be easily solved and should be for a hotel of this quality and price!!

« AC problems in the room was a big problem »

Only had 4 nights/5 days at the resort and two of the days were ruined due to issues with the in room AC. Not easy to sleep without AC. This outage impacted 18 rooms so they couldn't move us. We were promised a full nights credit for the inconvenience but only received a fraction of that. Spoke to the mgr and she said she would follow up but never did.

« Very comfortable. Excellent and curteous service. »

Cannot fault either the hotel, its position or the service. The refurbished rooms are a great improvement. The bathrooms will need upgrading in due course. The shower door in our room did not fit properly and as a result leaked. Breakfast was great and the lunch menu was adequate. The dinner menu in the Taboras was disappointingly limited but was good in the Palm restaurant. It was a shame to see both restaurants so quiet in the evenings. Liked the art in reception particularly.

Lovely location and views, staff were friendly and tried their best to accommodate us. The restaurants were lacking in terms of vegetarian food/options which made it difficult for us. I would recommend training the cooks to create veggie alternatives of certain dishes and to let the waiters know which dishes they can do vegetarian options for or alternatively crest a separate vegetarian menu.

Rooms are top notch. Excellent view and decor. Restaurant service is only downfall at this resort. Service is SLOW and people inexperienced and act like they don't really want to be doing this job.

« Lovely daytimes, dead evenings »

The beach was amazing, the rooms were lovely and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was very well managed and the whole day seemed to be wonderful until the evening. The food was mediocre at best. We ate at the palm once, and were thoroughly underwhelmed. There was no vibe whatsoever, mainly due to there being only two occupied tables in the entire restaurant. It felt like such a shame as the room itself is such an amazing space, and being right up against the ocean, it should be a buzzing, exciting place to eat. The hotel should make a better effort to expand the menu (we're British, we've come to get away from bangers and mash, not to be served it in 30 degree heat) and draw in guests from surrounding hotels to eat in the evening. We ate one night at Lone Star, the food was slightly better, though not tremendous, however the atmosphere was 100% better. There was a lively bar and lounge area to wait and drink before your meal and the decor was much less dated and much more tasteful. The holiday overall was lovely and all the staff were so nice a helpful, the dining was just such a let down.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel although we were somewhat disappointed in the menu choices in the restaurants and the fact that the cost was slightly more expensive than the locally higher rated restaurants and generally not up to the same quality.

« Too much of a family hotel for us »

Excellent funky room, contemporary, clean and with a great view of a beautiful beach. Spoilt by screaming kids and too many people. We went down at nine and all sunbeds were taken on the beach apart from the very noisy part which was used by other people as well as the hotel . Efficient friendly staff but not somewhere we would stay again.

Your staff was extremely friendly and professional. Our room was lovely and kept clean. The food at your restaurants was delicious and the kitchen staff was very accommodating when I requested a personalized salad! Beach staff was attentive! We especially had a great time with Ryan when he went out with us on a HobieCat catamaran and allowed my husband to sail it! Also, LOVE the Rum Punch greeting upon arrival! Lovely way to welcome your guests and immediately put them into vacation mindset!

We stayed for three nights prior to a cruise. It was a delightful start to our holiday. Our accommodation was comfortable and it was a delight having the beach at sea so close. Above all the friendly staff made our stay especially enjoyable.
